012 -

Not to mention about Naomi’s beauty which is far surpassing hers, causing the naïve girl so awry for losing her man.

“Oliver! You know her?” Sylvia inquires.

Oliver is shaken from his anger, and immediately puts on an ignorant face before averting his face to his fiancée.

“Not really,” he denies. “I just know her as a fellow business person.”

“Oh, how cruel of you,” Naomi sulks childishly. “Didn’t you once whisper in my ear that you never tired of fantasizing about my beauty before going to bed? Well, I don’t mind if we never end up together. But how cruel, now you act like you don’t know me?”

Sylvia glares her eyes straight at Oliver, causing Oliver so scared. And Naomi, she looks so amused, noticing that she has successfully sparked a conflict between them.

“Is this the girl you try hook after the failure in seducing me?” she teases. “It really saddens me that you give up too soon! You were so brave and bold last time, you know?”

“Naomi, please!” Oliver laughs awkwardly. “Stop with the joke already! How could I possibly dare to say such reckless things to someone like you?”

Unlike Oliver, Thomas is still baffled with Naomi’s antics. “What’s the meaning of this?” he whispers.

Naomi brings her face closer to Thomas’ right ear and whispers, “You’ve saved my life! So please, allow me to salvage your dignity for now!”

She leaves Thomas, and approaches Sylvia and Oliver with elegant steps. The showdown has also attracted the attention of several people from the second floor.

“I've seen all the bad things you've done to my boyfriend. Now I demand an apology,” utters Naomi with so much dignity.

Oliver forces a smile. “Please, don’t be mad, Naomi! I didn't think that a bumpkin like him would be your boyfriend. If I knew he was something so dear to you, I wouldn’t dare to treat him that way. But still, I apologize for what I did!”

“Not to me! Apologize to him,” Naomi denies. “Aren’t you ashamed of yourselves, treating a disabled person that way?”

Oliver glances at Thomas. Somehow, he finds all the ingredients to resent him.

That’s the man he likes to mock and ridicule. But the man is now a boyfriend to Naomi, the girl he could never conquer. There’s no way he is going to apologize now. His pride is too big for him to swallow.

Naomi clearly sees the hatred in Oliver’s face. Hence, she threatens him with a low but intimidating voice.

“Or..,” She comes closer to Oliver. “Should I break your legs here, and then kick you out of my property so that you know how it feels to be treated like a dog?”

“You go this far just for that rag shit?” Oliver squints, grumbling with a restrained hoarse voice.

Out of nowhere, Naomi slaps Oliver in the face, right on his left cheek. It’s quite hard that the man is staggered to the right. Thomas looks so stupid, not expecting that the girl would be so brash and bold.

“How dare you call him rag shit? He’s saved my life once. That’s enough to gain my respect. I respect him more than third rate people like you.”

Oliver rubs his left cheek. Anger is clearly seen in his face. He is fumed, but doesn’t dare to do anything.

Naomi then takes a glance at Sylvia, who is currenctly petrified in fear after witnessing how her fiancé got slapped.

“Unlike you, I know how to be grateful to my savior,” Naomi frets, her chin slightly up with so much dignity.

“Do you have any idea what you have done?” Oliver grumbles. “By humiliating me here, you’ve sparked a conflict with my family and the Gregory!”

“I will defend his honor,” replies Naomi without showing any doubt. “I will lay down my life if it is necessary. So, are you ready to wage war with the Saunders to protect Gregory's honor, Mr. Golden-haired Prince?”

Fear is now clouding Oliver’s face. Despite coming from a wealthy family himself, he knows that the Saunders Family is not the kind of people he should be meddled with. He believes his dad wouldn’t want this.

“Or you could just end this by apologizing to my boyfriend now,” Naomi suggests.

Persuaded by Naomi’s words, Oliver lets go of Sylvia’s hand, intending to confront Thomas to apologize. But Laura immediately interferes by holding Oliver’s hand from behind.

“Don’t ever think about apologizing to him! As a man who will become the son-in-law of the Gregory Family, it is not right for you to lower yourself to a lowly, despicable bumpkin like him.”

“Hey, Laura!” Joaquin grabs his wife’s left hand and shakes it once. “Look at the situation first. You have no idea who you're dealing with.”

“I don’t care who she is,” Laura rebukes, before she comes to Naomi. “Look! I am Donovan's niece from the Gregory family. I am here as a client that you should respect. We are interested in buying this house, 1.2 million dollars is a cheap price for us. I would not mind paying 2 million dollars, as long as you kick that man out of this house right now.”

“Aunt Laura! 2 million dollars for a house is not cheap. Have you talked to grandpa about this?” asks Sylvia.

“Your fiancé is going to buy the house for us, not your grandpa,” says Laura.

Now it is Oliver who looks so opposed to that idea. “Hey! I was willing to buy this house for only 1.2 million! Why would you raise it to 2 million?”

“Is your self-esteem that low?” asks Laura before she draws Oliver’s attention to Sylvia. “Look at her and how she sees you! This matter was originally between her and that man. But now she begins to have a change in mind, because her fiancé doesn’t seem to have any power to fight for her honor. Don't you see that girl is trying to insult my niece and the Gregory family?”
