Chapter 34

Darren POV

Darren rode into the parking lot and killed the engine. While he hopped out of the car, he could hear growling going on inside the house.

And with that, he could recognize Eric's voice as part of it. He took a deep breath, popped his cheek, and helped Grandma Lisa out of the car.

She saw her car on the right side of the parking lot. Hector had returned it, but she noticed Greg’s car wasn’t there, which meant he was not back home.

She almost panicked because she had no idea where he must have gone again or what he was up to this time.

“Do you trust me, Grandma? I will handle everything. I just need you to have enough rest in your room and don’t get involved in any of these.” He requested it, and she smiled and held tight to his hand. They headed towards the sitting room; the growling was coming from the other side. Darren took the short cut by taking the staircase to the left beside the entrance.
