Al'ravee had always wanted to be considered to be one of the most knowledgeable people in the world. Imagine being asked a question and always having an answer.
A normal person obviously cannot try to learn everything because of their limited lifespan and other life goals.Al'ravee could do it but he doubted if he had the time to finish it. Given the fact that new discoveries were happening every year, he decided to just indulge himself in soaking as much knowledge as possible until his parents intervened. At that point, money held little value to him, no, it held no value at all. Now he runs an entire continent with the largest military force in the world. It would be hard for him to want anything and not get it, very hard. So it wasn't too difficult to do what he was about to do.Of course, he lacked the right leadership skills to rule such a nation but with the help of some loyal but ambitious officials as well as the latest CCAI (Central Collective Artificial Intelligence), it wasn't so hard."Is the car ready?" The question left Al'ravee's mouth as he stood on the balcony of a futuristic-looking grey castle, staring at the acres of private greenery in front of him."Affirmative my lord." The guard behind him responded. With that he left the balcony, ignoring all the guards accompanying him on the way. Al'ravee headed for the half-kilometer-wide car park filled with customized exotic electric cars of all kinds."Where are we going, my Lord?" One of the royal drivers nearby asked curiously. He was only told that his lord planned on going out but had no clue where, this was very unlikely."I'll tell you on the way, let's go," Al'ravee said in an authoritative tone that left no room for objections. After a decade of always getting what he wanted when he wanted it, this way of speaking to subordinates should be a natural thing for him. However, the driver noticed that this sovereign had a bit of unsteadiness in his tone like he was not confident in something. But the driver did not test his luck, he knew his place. The guards all quickly rushed to similar modeled black cars, following Al'ravee's royal transport. Before they left the castle grounds, a convoy with over a hundred armored, electric, armed cars with many drones above was formed. After an hour or so, another black car zoomed out through the castle gates. Inside this particular car were four men dressed in black suits and donning a black mask each, none of them said a word to each other as they drove off.The car branched off into a dirt road in the forest before later arriving at a clearing. On this clearing was a black-colored dual-wing rotorcraft with two men wearing the same mask standing behind it.All the masked men in the car, excluding the driver, got out and walked briskly to the rotorcraft. Only nods of acknowledgment were exchanged between them before proceeding to enter the aircraft. The driver drove away while the rotorcraft flew off into the distance. It wasn't until later that night that the rotorcraft arrived above a hill with a small cave by the side. Rope ladders were released from the rotorcraft to allow the masked men to drop down safely. After checking if the coast was clear, one of the men removed his mask to reveal his face.Strangely, it was Al'ravee who had been with these men all this time but they weren't shocked at the revelation, they already knew that the person that left the castle back then was just a look-alike who would be discovered sooner or later. This was all a pre-planned plot to covertly get away from the eyes of the people. Only they and the look-alike knew about this. After seeing someone to not raise suspicion, the convoy would go back to the castle to reveal that the king was dead. Al'ravee had already left a message for them, just in case.He never truly cared for his current family members, but at least, he had to leave something behind for them.Al'ravee walked into the cave, leaving the masked men to stand there but that too didn't last. They too soon climbed the rope ladder to leave along with the rotorcraft. They were only there to escort Al'ravee with their signal-jamming device, to avoid any form of tracking whatsoever.Al'ravee wasn't worried that these men would betray him and the next thing to happen proved why.*BOOM!*Before the rotorcraft could get far, it exploded into a mass of flames with many metal parts flying everywhere.Al'ravee reached the end of the dark cave to stand in front of a stony wall. Pressing his hand on a particular section, the stony wall parted into the sides to reveal another room inside. This room looked like it had been dug out and there was only one thing in it. A three-meter tall silver pod stood vertically, giving off blue neon lights from its gaps to illuminate the stone room. Beneath the pod was a flat metal disk designed to keep the pod charged and activated through the time to come. Attached to the disk were also wires that led up to the ceiling, probably connected to the solar panels. The stone door behind Al'ravee closed on its own after he went in. The blue light of the silver pod shone on his face which showed nothing but determination.Whatever was left of his conscience had asked him, 'Was it worth it? Is it really necessary? What about all those people?"He had ruthlessly silenced that voice, nothing would stop him. To some, this was just a stupid wish fulfillment. Indeed, it was. But he'll do it anyway. With a deep breath, he walked to the pod which automatically opened up as he neared it. The instructions were already set by the top-notch team of engineers who had secretly made it. As for the engineers themselves, all dead. Al'ravee couldn't keep loose ends.He leaned back into the now-closing pod, to be embraced in darkness thereafter. Only a circular section with a thick glass frame allowed him to see outside his pod. He felt the customized fully immersive virtual reality helmet get attached to his head. Then everything went blank.###############*In the royal throne room.*By now, all the known members of the royal family as well as the ministers and court officials had been called by the look-alike Al'ravee for an emergency meeting. Many of them were shocked when he told them that he was just a look-alike. Before any of them could confirm, he also claimed that he was here on behalf of the real Al'ravee.'So that's why he was reluctant to sit on the throne,' many of them, especially the wives, had this thought running through their minds.Eager to know what the message was, they watched as the look-alike took out a holographic projector and placed it on the ground.Activating it, the projector lit up with a life-sized holographic projection of the real Al'ravee. He kept his hands behind him with a straight and dignified pose, completely different from when he was a martial arts expert, the crime boss, or the first family man Al'ravee. The Al'ravee in the projection started talking.[... If you are watching this, then that means that this message was handed to you on my instructions and that I am probably dead... ]The words that came out of his mouth immediately caused an uproar in the throne room. All of them had different reactions. Most children were in disbelief with eyes that seemed to be getting sadder by the second, the same thing with some wives. The others also were in disbelief but also had hints of greed flash in their eyes. But their flames of ambitions were put out by Al'ravee's next words.[... No need to worry about the cause of my death, let's just say it's none of your business. If you don't find my body then don't worry, all is well. You are all to broadcast a fake burial a week from now to prevent mass panic, unnecessary civil war, and foreign invasions from the other four continents. But I believe you can all think of this on your own.My eldest son, the crown prince whom I have been grooming for this moment would take my mantle. The service of the royal guards has been ordered beforehand to now take orders from him. He now has the authority to either redistribute or leave resources and land as they are. I believe he will make a wise decision. All secret operations, ongoing and complete shall be overseen by him from now on. The CCIA is now under a new administration. This is my last command. I wish you all a fruitful era.]Silence.Deafening silence.Everyone could not help but look at the stunned crown prince. All their ambitions were fiercely ripped to shreds at the mention of that name, royal guards. They were all aware that Al'ravee had been successful in turning the royal guards into one of the most deadly forces in the world. Every member trained from childhood to be a martial arts expert and completely loyal to the sovereign. The royal guards were the main reason why other countries were reluctant to start any war. They were afraid they wouldn't be able to escape one of the assassins from the Divera royal guard.Only the sovereign and their members would know the whereabouts of their headquarters. Each headquarters has access to some of the best technology of the era to deal with any situation from any corner of the world. It was clear that Al'ravee had purposely wanted all of them to be present when the message was delivered so that the royal guards would deter them from making unnecessary trouble for the new Ruler. What they did not know was that the royal guard's organization originated from the Hidden Gem Temple of the past. Now, the new ruler would get to know all this as it should be.The look-alike Al'ravee was regretting to have not watched the message before giving it out. All this power and wealth could have been his, 'but then again' he thought, 'If the royal guard already knew about this and I tried anything, the message would have been delivered, just from my lifeless hands.'Everyone replayed the message in their mind over and over again. This was especially true for the mid-twenties crown prince. He had a lot going through his mind right now.Of course, Al'ravee was oblivious to the turmoil he had caused in the hearts of those in the throne room.Al'ravee currently found himself in an empty black room. A couple of files, arranged neatly, were placed in front of him. This pod was employed in the current time for playing games but Al'ravee had seen it as a way to speed up the last thing on his to-do list. This pod was going to load large amounts of information at a terrifying speed into his brain. No normal human would be able to experience this without entering a permanent vegetable state later on.To avoid interruptions, Al'ravee made sure that the pods' body was made of the toughest alloys and could only be opened from the inside. The glass panel in front of his face happened to be the toughest material of the entire pod.He stretched out his hand to touch the file to the far left. [Languages]Al'ravee shook his head, for personal reasons, he was not willing to learn any more languages of planet Green Cloud. He moved to the next.[Fictional Stories]It seemed he would be starting with fictional stories. With a mental suggesti
Just when he was worried that the object was not working, his entire being, both soul and body were overwhelmed by a horrifying pain. Then everything went black.Al'ravee found himself in black space again. The difference was that the previous one looked real but was a virtual simulation. this black space was the real deal.'What do I do?' Al'ravee thought to himself. There was nothing in front of him, he didn't even understand what exactly this pathfinder was supposed to be doing.*SWOOSH*Shooting stars. That's what Al'ravee started seeing. Stars shot around in a messy order, some of them shot up, some shot down, and others went either left or right. Some stars were coming from both his back and front. As they drew closer leaving colorful streaks behind, they all slowed down a few meters away from him. Looking around, the previously black empty space was now filled with head-sized balls of light of different colors. On a closer look, these were not actually balls of light but differ
A deep golden glow flashed above the clouds followed by a familiar monotone voice "Well then, I better get ready."#######When researchers and doctors arrived to investigate what was happening, they found nothing wrong with the sleeping citizens. Still, they abstained from giving them any drugs because no one knew if these people would be able to pay for it.Of course, they also wanted to prevent making the unknown situation worse. Some of the victims soon began waking up with fear in their eyes. A few of them even woke up screaming like they had gone mad.The doctors managed to suppress them eventually and were able to question them on what they had experienced before passing out."... I wanted to move but anytime I thought of moving, I felt a fear so suffocating that it was similar to being stared at by multiple hungry wolves. It felt like death was what awaited me if I even dared to breathe."That was the description an old man gave to a doctor when he awoke from his passed-out sta
"I suggest we come in contact with the Divera family branch as soon as possible and be discreet about it. We might be able to gain a fortune from this discovery alone Hehe," The leader laughed in joy.The others' eyes brightened. Yes, they might not get to use the machine to live long but they could use the money to live comfortably for the rest of their lives. As for how to use the machine in the first place, that was now the Divera family business.########Meanwhile, inside Al'ravee's mind.Al'ravee was shocked at the sight before him. Surrounding him from all sides were numerous gigantic humanoid heads all gazing straight at him with different emotions written on their faces... and all of them were screaming. The sound he was hearing was already giving him a terrible headache. None of the faces was smaller than a house and the mixture of both male and female loud voices was uncomfortable. The scene changed.Al'ravee, in his invisible formless state, observed like he was watching a
Just when he was counting the concepts in his head to confirm their numbers, his focus was broken by a very annoying sound. *SHIIIIIIIIING!* Like someone was scraping metal against another metal. Al'ravee was forced to open his eyes and he wasn't even surprised at what he saw.########*A Few Moments Earlier*It's been a few weeks since those researchers had discovered the pod and as planned, they managed to make contact with one of the mid-ranking branch family members. But even then, it wasn't easy. They had to bribe some people to gain access to the man as soon as possible before any other person found out. If not, who knows how ruthless the next people to find it will be. They might even kill them to make sure they get all the benefits. They only gave out bribes because they were convinced that if their discovery came to light, forget about investment in all those former experiments, the reward money from the Divera family would be enough for them to live comfortably for the rest
Subconsciously, the eyes of Darius, the first discoverer, the yellow-suited royal guards, and even the tiny insects present fell on the glass panel on the pod where Al'ravee's face was supposed to show a peaceful expression and closed eyes... But his eyes were not closed.Al'ravee's eyes were wide open and they were staring straight at Darius.########### When everybody saw Al'ravee awake, they all felt their heart skip a bit. The people present could not help but feel like the gravitational force had increased a bit. It was already hard for them to keep standing. The five royal guards in the super suit were better off. Although they felt the pressure, the suit reduced it by a lot.Among them, Darius was the one who received the full brunt of whatever was going on. His face had turned pale and his mind was screaming for him to get out of the way but he couldn't move a muscle. But to the onlookers, he wasn't feeling anything at all as he stood there the same way he had been doing. This
"Thank goodness. Try to control yourself now will you?" Ris said, looking at Al'ravees' naked form standing on the white clouds.Currently, both Ris and Al'ravee were present in a world where the ground was made of white clouds and the sky, a bright light blue. In front of them was a gigantic golden castle whose doors seemed fit for giants.Al'ravee didn't say anything in response to what Ris stated. The overwhelming and unstable thoughts he had then still brushed through his mind once in a while. "Well, no worries. You'll soon get a chance to test your might." Ris started. At this, Al'ravee smiled. Looking at the blue swallow-tail coat Ris was wearing, he made a light cough sound. Al'ravee didn't feel ashamed to stand anywhere naked actually. But he guessed he was about to meet some people and basic common sense required that he meet important people clothed, or at least represent able. Ris seemingly guessing what the young god was implying simply waved his hand and a set of clothes
This time it was Jurdelious who responded "Like your mother said Al'ravee, the universe is more or less like a game of Power. The gods are like the main players, any other thing is just a side character, a pawn to make the gods look good in front of their believers and help us gain more power. It doesn't matter which race they come from or which talents they possess." Jurdelious said in a matter-of-fact-ly manner.Ris and stylaff remained silent just like Ozia had done from the start. This was something they already knew long ago and even practiced now.'Talents?' Al'ravee wondered."The thing is." Krene continued, "That power is quite hard to get sometimes. You will go to places where the dos and don'ts are all set up by the most powerful and you might be expected to follow them as long as you are there.Just because we are eternal doesn't mean we can't die. Several things could kill gods lying around in the universe. Some of us might experience a concept lock and be forced to never a
“Priya! What was that?” Clancy came over with worry for Priya. She had previously left Priya alone because Galgamuth was present, but when she heard that loud noise, she became very worried.Luckily, from what she was seeing, no harm was done.“Galgamuth is down there,” Priya said while frowning. She faced the direction from whence the being came from.Clancy looked over. Because of the wall, she couldn't see who was there but she could see traces of a red glow she recognized too well, and a foreign green glow.“Priya, let's go.” Clancy said as she saw the intensity of this glow fluctuating. They both knew Galgamuth had encountered someone who was keeping him occupied for now.Anyone who could keep Galgamuth busy for so long was definitely not an ordinary person. And if this was to break into a fight…“Priya, we have to go now!” Clancy repeated, this time raising her voice to allow Priya to register the alarm in her tone.If this was indeed going to break into a fight, they had better
Meanwhile,Priya sat on the balcony as usual, this time accompanied by Galgamuth only.Galgamuth had his hands on the railings as he anxiously clenched down on them.“No need to be worked up, I have a feeling that things will go well,” Priya said while putting on a gentle smile.Hearing this, Galgamuth breathed heavily, “Did you get a vision?” He asked, his eyes filled with a longing for hope.Priya shook her head, “Unfortunately, no.”Galgamuth sighed helplessly.“But you shouldn't be worrying, even if something was going to happen, I'm sure a miracle will put everything in order,” Priya stated.Galgamuth turned to look at Priya with a strange look, “Miracle?” He scoffed, “I never took you as one who believes in taking chances.”Priya smiled at this, “Indeed, I don't believe in taking chances, that doesn't mean miracles can't happen.”“Miracle or not, that doesn't change things much. You're starting to sound just like Talliu.” Galgamuth said this with an awful expression.“Although h
The sudden transformation into a large two-tailed fire fox startled the enemy combatants.Rijinna, in her fox form, lunged at the nearest person to her, which was a non-human.She jumped over ten meters to sink her teeth into the neck of the non-human.“Aaaaaargh!”The green-skinned man shouted frantically as those needlepoint teeth pierced into his soft neck. For a brief moment, the rain of bullets on Rijinna stopped as the shooters hesitated to shoot their comrade, but that hesitation would cost them. Not stopping to check if her victim was dead, the fire fox went after the next person closest to her, bringing all her intent to massacre along with her.At this point, Darius and the others arrived at the edge of the bowl-shaped crater.Everyone quickly ran out of their land rovers with their firearms. Among them, a few of the combatants had gone to the trunks to take their surprisingly large guns. Darius was one of these few.His rifle was almost two meters long, sharing height with
Meanwhile. The twenty-nine landrovers all sped up after seeing the explosion. The black land rover on the other hand slowed down until the last vehicle behind it overtook it.The twenty-nine dirt brown land rovers continued onward. The black vehicle eventually slowed down. The driver opened the door casually and stepped out.*CRANK!*It was like the land rover had been suffering from having to carry a heavy burden. The noise coming from it after the driver alighted would raise questions anywhere. The driver himself had an appearance that didn't lose out to Rijinna.Standing more than six feet tall with a bald head and a stony gaze, his entire body seemed to be a statue… literally. He looked like a work of art that was carved out of magnificent grey stone. His muscles seemed well moulded and his jawline was as sharp as a cliff.Every movement of his was accompanied by a grating sound, like a stone rubbing against another stone.“Zillis, do your thing.” From the radio in the car, Darius
One beautiful moon hung in the sky of planet Tavron. The light reflecting from the Daystar conveniently bounced off the moon, allowing the moonlight to shine on the still-recovering wasteland continent. The atmosphere seemed so peaceful and pretty, if only this silence could last till the end of time. Alas…A convoy of makeshift land rovers, thirty to be exact, rode fiercely on the dry wasteland like dirty mechanical beasts. All of them were armored, while ten of them had guns mounted on the top with someone manning them.A swarm of one hundred-odd bikes rode around this convoy, with two geared-up humans sitting on each bike. The combined roars of their engines scared away all low-level life forms while forcing the bold ones to remain rooted in place until they passed.Large centipedes and other nocturnal creatures could be seen scurrying into their burrows.Out of the thirty armored land rovers, the twenty-ninth on the line seemed a bit different from the rest. Not only was its mount
Ozia nodded his head, “Then what about your name? You need to add more to your name, your mother might have named you but that doesn't mean you can't add to it.”Al'ravee nodded back at the machine-based god, “Yes” He said, “I can feel the annoying vain calls of mortals, it needs to be extended. I never planned on leaving it just the way it is anyway.”As Al'ravee said this he looked down at his hand, the perfect grey color reminded him of someone.Al'ravee opened his mouth to name himself. “My name shall be, Al'ravee Divera Murreleous Randolez Takuti Weada Balcin…”Al'ravee listed a total of twenty-two words for his full name. Some names came from his reference to certain people or places.Space seemed to want to flow and break at the mention of that full name. From now on, unless someone knew and called Al’ravee’s full name, he would never notice. As though to prove a point, the calls that had been in his head for some time immediately disappeared. No longer was he annoyed by the na
“To think this mortal was able to derive an approximate time for our arrival, she has even seen your rough image, that's impressive,” Ozia said, his voice was laced with genuine praises.Currently, Al'ravee, Iyah, Norderline, and Ozia stood on the outer surface of the Golden Eye spaceship.“Who?” Al'ravee asked as he stared at the magnificent and humongous planet thousands of kilometers ahead.“There's a mortal who possesses the Oracle Talent in the same environment as your Darius descendant. She already knows we are here.” Ozia said, his glowing red eyes focused on one point in particular on one of the continents.Al'ravee looked at Ozia and then followed his eyes to the continent he was looking at. His two eyes immediately turned into two mirror balls as he manifested his concept of sight. He locked on to a wide stretch of wastelands, looking further, his eyes found a black fortress that seemed to have a lot of people gathering near its gate.On further inspection, he saw an old lad
Priya and Clancy walked side by side, with Clancy's hand resting on the former’s right shoulder.“Darius has successfully integrated himself into our society as an inexpensive asset.” Clancy began, her voice echoing across the long spacious hallway.“Yes, he has,” Priya replied, undisturbed by the sudden words. The walls in the hallway were a smooth light grey, as though they had been sculpted into existence, rather than being built brick by brick.“We watched him rise over the past ten years, right under our noses…” Clancy continued. “Yes, we did,” Priya said.“His accomplice, Talliu, is peacefully placing both hope and doubts in the hearts of the commune's members, hope that goes against what we stand for, doubt over the very purpose of what we stand for.”“I know.”“We could have stopped it, but you told us some years back after your injury that they would be beneficial to our cause.”“Yes, I did…” They reached the end of the hallway, taking a turn down the spiral staircase before
“Omega Vitamin?” One of the figureheads said with a grave expression. He had a short stature and had bushy black beards on his face.Darius placed his hands on the table, allowing his weight to rest on them. He breathed in and out slowly, his mind engaged in deep thoughts.“Yes, Omega Vitamin,” Galgamuth said. For some reason, everyone seemed to hover between the thin line of joy and sorrow, not knowing how they should feel.“From the letter, this Omega Vitamin is being sent here from their headquarters. How they managed to lay their hands on it is unknown, what is of concern to us is that they are sending it right into the arms of the Vaderian Cult base.”“Being concerned is one thing, doing something about it is another.” said another blonde-haired man at the table who wore black-rimmed glasses.“If this is the case what do you suggest we do?” Another woman asked.Subconsciously, they all turned to look at Priya who still had her eyes closed. “I already tried, I can't see any outco
