Chapter 8

Everyone there was excited. But they dared not interfere with their problem because it was so severe. All the invited guests also didn't expect that they could make the mistake of selling humans.

"Damn! How did this whole thing get longer?" Ricky swore. He felt very annoyed at having to deal with such a difficult situation.

"Ricky, I think we should ask your family for help. I'm sure the Torny family can handle this problem easily." Julie approached Ricky and whispered that to him.

Ricky, who was already panicking, almost forgot that his family might be able to help him. "You're right. I think I should ask my family for help. We'll be out of trouble soon."

Julie's suggestion gave the three of them great hope that they would be able to solve this problem soon. They were so fed up with the situation that it had become overwhelming.

Ricky glanced at his parents, who were currently speechless. Both parents were still in shock over their son's case. And now, Ricky walked towards them.

"Dad, can't you help me this time? Why were you silent earlier? Aren't you thinking about helping me get out of this? I think you can do something for me." Ricky pleaded with a pleading face to his father, but unexpectedly, his father waved his hand and gave Ricky a very sharp look. Even as Ricky was about to approach, his father raised his hand to stop him.

"Stop where you are. Don't come near me because I'm ashamed to have a son like you. You fool, you're bringing shame to the Torny family. You should think before you do something. Solve your problem yourself." Mr. Torny immediately took his eyes off Ricky.

Also, Mr. Torny immediately grabbed his wife to get out of the crowd. He felt tainted by his son's behavior. And, of course, he didn't agree to Ricky's request for help.

Julie watched as Ricky's parents made their way out of the crowd, and then she walked over to Ricky.

By now, Ricky was speechless. He was only able to clench his hands together tightly. Then suddenly, Julie shook him until he looked up at her. "My father didn't help," Ricky spoke with great resignation.

"What? How can your father not help you? Shit!" Julie patted her own forehead and thought very hard about what she could do.

"I don't want to go to jail. I don't want that to happen. We have to find a solution." Julie approached her mama and whined. But Jolie was at a loss as to what to do.

"Maybe we can talk to Grandma. She'll help us." Julie came up with an idea, much to Jolie's delight.

"Yes, you can talk to your grandmother. I'm sure that the Webster family will help us." Jolie was excited and thought that this time she would soon get her family out of trouble. "Go talk to your grandmother," Jolie ordered as she glanced at Mrs. Webster, who was not far from them.

Actually, Jolie felt annoyed when her mother just kept silent when she knew that her daughter was in trouble. Jolie thought that her mother could have used her power to help her family at this time.

Julie nodded quickly. She immediately ran to her grandmother and whined at her. "Grandma, can't you see that we're in trouble? Why are you doing nothing at this time? You should be able to do something."

At that moment, Julie whined, asking Mrs. Webster for mercy and pleading. But she received the same rejection. "What a disgrace. You shouldn't have done such a stupid thing. You have brought shame on the Webster family. Don't ever again show your face in front of me before you get out of that trouble."

"We're leaving now!" Mrs. Webster looked at her other son, then they moved away from Julie's presence. They, too, like the Torny family, chose to leave the party because they were embarrassed by what Julie had done.

"Why did your grandmother leave? Bag? Is she going to help us?" Jolie asked hopefully. Likewise, Ricky was also looking at Julie and waiting for the same answer. But when Julie shook her head, they both felt disappointed.

"Grandma refuses to help us. She doesn't even want us to show our faces in front of her before we can solve this problem." Julie explained to her mother. And they felt even more dizzy.

Jolie had guessed the first time her mother moved her feet away that her mother would refuse to help. And now, they didn't know what to do.

Actually, without them knowing three hours before this incident, Cesare had secretly talked about this to Diana, so that she immediately planned what to do to bring down the Webster family in front of the whole crowd.

Diana gave orders to Piere, so he immediately contacted the high police authorities. Of course, Piere could quickly contact the top police because Covenglory had so much power and so much money that at the mere mention of Covenglory's name, people would tremble and feel pressured by them.

Piere put the emphasis on the police. He also explained what happened, but Piere didn't tell them that his master was Cesare. All this time, they kept Cesare's identity, and no one knew that Cesare was from the Covenglory family.

After getting the call from the Covenglory and getting all the evidence, the police commander immediately gave orders to his subordinates to act immediately.

All the problems had not been solved, but suddenly, a man wearing sunglasses came, breaking through the crowd there. Of course, everyone wondered who it was. And apparently, the man came and said a surprising thing.

At this moment, they were still staring at the man who had just arrived. And suddenly, he said something that left them all speechless. "I came to tell you about the inheritance from Mr. Bastien that the Webster family gave to Mr. Cesare." The man named Justin said something surprising to them.

"Wh-what is this again? There's no way my grandfather would leave an inheritance to this loser!" Julie was shocked and tried to dismiss the news that had just come from Justin. But in retrospect, it was her own grandfather who had asked her to marry Cesare. And Bastien could have left an inheritance to Cesare.

"Mr. Bastien Webster said that Mr. Cesare would get fifty percent of Miss Julie's company. Because all this time, Mr. Cesare has helped the company a lot." Justin explained. And that made Julie feel even more shocked.

Not only Julie but Cesare was also speechless by the news that the man brought. He didn't expect it at all because, before this, Cesare would just plan to snatch everything from Julie.

"No! I won't give half of my company to that loser!" This time, Julie gave Cesare a hateful look.

During her life with him, Cesare had caused a lot of trouble. And she never thought that even after throwing him away, Julie would still get in trouble with that useless man.

But this time, Cesare smiled even more. He folded his arms and puffed out his chest slightly. "It's only right that it should be mine. And your side should pay fifty dollars for the losses I've incurred."

Cesare smiled with satisfaction as he got the chance to knock Julie down a few pegs directly.

But of course, Julie didn't accept any of this. She was so annoyed with Cesare that she yelled in his face. "You crazy man!"
