Chapter 6

Right after the subject they were participating in was finished, Rachel, who was in the front row, stood up, walked over to Jaxon and said, "Hey Jaxon, do you have anything to do this afternoon?" Rachel asked with a smile and a friendly voice.

Jaxon nodded and said, "Yes, Rachel, after this, I will go to the Franktuary Restaurant to work there as a waiter on the side; well, it's not bad for extra income," Jaxon said with a smile.

He never felt the slightest bit ashamed of being honest and upfront that he would look for a job after college, and it was no secret that he was the poorest student, so no one cared.

Jaxon then continued, "It just so happened that there was a shortage of waiters, so the restaurant manager accepted my application to work their half-time, but Rachel, what is it that you are asking about my activities this afternoon?" asked Jaxon a little curiously.

Hearing Jaxon ask, Rachel blushed a little and replied, "Ah no, it's okay; I just wanted to take you to the library, well, just to discuss things that I don't understand, everyone knows that you are a student with a lot of achievements and always get the highest scores among other students, but well it's okay if you are busy this afternoon maybe next time we can study together as a group," Rachel said smiling shyly.

Jaxon also smiled and said, "I'm sorry, Rachel, I really can't fulfil your invitation, but even if I can't come, you can still invite Ethan; he is also a student who has achievements that are not less great than others," said Jaxon trying to recommend his best friend, Ethan.

He knew that Ethan had long harboured a crush on Rachel, but just like Dean, he didn't have enough courage to reveal his heart to Rachel.

All this was due to the low status he had in high society. Hence he could only keep his feelings to himself and could only occasionally glance at Rachel at every opportunity.

It was not uncommon for Rachel to catch Ethan looking at her, but for a good woman like Rachel, she never questioned Ethan's actions like a thief; at most, she just smiled at Ethan like a cat caught stealing a fish.

After listening to Jaxon's advice, Rachel nodded and left. While Jaxon returned to the dormitory, he prepared to head straight to the restaurant.

Tonight at Franktuary Restaurant, Tristan, Charles and their friends came to have dinner. They were not hungry. Still, their purpose of coming to this restaurant is only to make a scene because they heard that Jaxon, the poorest student on the campus where they study, got a side job as a part-time waiter at this restaurant.

This more or less made Tristan, who always felt itchy to see Jaxon, move to come here to humiliate Jaxon.

Arrogantly, Tristan and his friends strode into the restaurant, strutting nonchalantly towards the several pairs of eyes that looked their way.

Tristan didn't care about those stares; he haughtily walked over and chose a large table beside the window.

Seeing a guest coming, Jaxon as a waiter, hurriedly approached, but what was unexpected was that the guests who entered the restaurant where he worked were Tristan and his friends; this slightly made Jaxon feel that things would get out of hand, and he knew very clearly who this Tristan was, a person who always had a hostile attitude towards him even though he had never done anything wrong to him.

However, due to the professional nature of his job, Jaxon immediately approached the table where Tristan and his friends were seated and said respectfully, "Excuse me, sir, would you like to order something?"

Tristan raised his head arrogantly, "Hey, give me the menu book for this restaurant; I want to look first."

When Jaxon heard Tristan's request, he immediately gave Tristan the menu book in his hand.

Tristan grabbed the menu roughly from Jaxon's hand and flipped through sheet after sheet; not long after, he looked at Jaxon with a condescending look, then said, "Hey, poor lowlife, I want to order this, this and also this."

Jaxon screamed in his heart at the inappropriate call; he felt embarrassed in his heart; moreover, at this time, all eyes were looking at him; this at least gave a blow to his pride, but he remained patient and said, "Well sir, you will receive your order in a moment."

As soon as Jaxon left the table where they were sitting, Charles, who was in the seat in front of Tristan right across the table, smiled slyly.

In his mind, at the moment, terrible ideas arise; right now, what is in his mind is how he and his other friends can humiliate Jaxon in front of the crowd, and most importantly also so that Jaxon immediately loses his job.

Smiling, Charles bent his body a little closer to the table and whispered something to Tristan, Rhodes and Teddy on the left and right sides; they also bent their bodies together; they were currently like a football team about to start a match.

After Charles explained his evil plan, he asked Tristan, Rhodes and Teddy, "What do you think of my plan?"

Hearing Charles' question, Tristan immediately replied while waving his hand, "No, I don't want to; it must be hot," Tristan said, refusing and a little nervous.

Hearing Tristan freak out like that made Charles frown.

He looked at Tristan, then laughed out loud as he said to reassure Tristan encouragingly, "Tristan, I can't possibly harm you; what you're about to do is just to set up Jaxon when he makes a mistake; then we can easily corner him, make a little noise that might make Jaxon lose his job."

Tristan thought momentarily, then grinned, "Okay, fine, you guys just organise how to do it; I'll do the rest."

After they agreed, they put on severe faces and waited for Jaxon to bring their orders.

Shortly after, Jaxon returned to the table where Tristan and his friends sat with a tray of drinks.

Looking at Jaxon, who walked over to their table, Charles smiled and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Good thing it's not hot food," he said.

Jaxon, who knew nothing about their evil plan, walked closer and closer; he did not know that Charles had planned something wrong for him.

Just as Jaxon was about to get to the table where Tristan and his friends were sitting, Charles suddenly stuck out his foot just as Jaxon was about to take a step.

Jaxon, who did not expect Charles to trip him up, lost his balance and fell forward.

With such a fall, his tray of drinks flew across the table and into Tristan, Rhodes and Teddy.

Except for Charles, who got a little splash, not the other three, especially Tristan and Teddy, who were sitting next to each other; they were the ones who got the wettest from the spilt drinks splashing on their heads.

At this time, Tristan's facial expression was complicated to imagine; his whole body turned green due to being splashed with avocado juice; inwardly, he cursed his stupidity for not immediately exchanging seats with Rhodes.

Rhodes is also wet but better than he is right now.

Charles was the luckiest one because when Jaxon fell due to his foot, Charles was behind Jaxon, so he only got a little splash.

At that moment, the annoyed Tristan began to wake up from his shock; he looked at Jaxon with a look that was difficult to guess the meaning. He then got up from his chair and approached Jaxon, sitting on the floor with a stupid expression and anger that had reached the top of his head. Then, Tristan immediately pulled Jaxon's shirt collar to force him to stand up.

Jaxon, who did not know what Tristan was going to do, just resigned himself to following the direction of Tristan's hand.

After he stood up a little, he suddenly felt a pain in his cheek because, at that moment, Tristan had sent a firm slap towards his cheek while snapping, "Damn you, Jaxon, can't you work properly?"

"Look at this! Because I'm soaking wet like this, you are a poor lowlife who should be taught a lesson so that you know how to serve the master properly."
