Chapter 7

Now Tristan was furious; he pulled Jaxon's shirt back and delivered a punch to the stomach.

Jaxon, who received the blow, was immediately bent over, he suddenly felt extremely nauseous, and at that moment, he suddenly wanted to vomit.

After receiving a punch from Tristan, the still-bent Jaxon said, "I'm sorry, Tristan, I didn't mean to."

Jaxon, with a look of pain and regret on his face, then continued while apologising to Tristan, "I didn't intend to get you soaked like this, just now when I was almost reaching the table, Charles suddenly stuck out his leg, I didn't expect it because it was so sudden, I lost my balance and ended up falling, I hope you will forgive me, Tristan, this is not my fault."

Charles, who heard Jaxon start blaming him, immediately got up from his seat and pulled Jaxon's hair.

"What did you say? Repeat it! How dare you make excuses and blame me for your stupidity; you want to die, Jaxon?" Charles growled.

Charles did not want to be blamed by Jaxon. They all knew that this was an event that Charles had planned, and they had also agreed to this plan. Still, it was clear to Charles that if he admitted his mistake and said that he deliberately tripped Jaxon's leg, then not only would he be embarrassed, but his purpose would also not be accomplished; after all, their purpose for coming to this restaurant was to mess with Jaxon, and if possible, make Jaxon lose his job here.

Thinking about it was an impossibility for Charles to relent and admit his mistake.

To cover up his actions and also for the sake of perfect acting, he loudly said in a high tone, "If you can't work well, then don't work with a stupid waiter like you; sooner or later, this restaurant will be deserted, no one will want to stop by this place because they will feel uncomfortable with a stupid waiter who is not good at serving guests like you!"

At the sound of Charles' high-pitched voice, all the guests eating at the restaurant's tables turned their attention towards Tristan and his friends' table.

Expressions were all over their faces as Tristan, Rhodes and Teddy were drenched in the water of the drinks they ordered.

They didn't expect the drink they were supposed to drink to be turned into bathwater by Jaxon.

Seeing this, some smiled as they found the scene funny, some felt sorry for them, and not a few also started whispering among themselves.

Tristan, who caught a glimpse of the other guests out of the corner of his eye, felt a slight pressure in his heart.

He had never been humiliated in a public place, let alone that this was a plan they had organised on the spur of the moment.

As the embarrassment overcame him, he could only grit his teeth and landed his fist on Jaxon's stomach again, as Jaxon bent over to receive Tristan's fist.

Charles, who saw Jaxon bent over again with nausea, did not remain silent either; he immediately poked Jaxon's leg with his foot.

Getting a tackle like that made Jaxon fall with his bum hitting the floor, especially now that the floor had become slippery due to the spilt drinks, which caused his fall even smoother.

Jaxon is now truly a plaything for Tristan and his friends.

The commotion caused in the place made the other waiters immediately report this incident to the restaurant manager. The Manager who received the report rushed to the scene.

Upon arriving at the place, the Manager immediately asked respectfully, "Excuse me, sir, what exactly is going on here?"

He watched and tried to analyse the actual situation.

When he saw Jaxon sitting on the floor with a sad face, he could confirm that this waiter had made a mistake, so, pressing his tone of voice as friendly as possible while smiling, he again said, "Excuse me, honoured Sir, has our waiter made any mistake? If so, we humbly apologise for the inconvenience."

Hearing someone apologising, Tristan suddenly turned his gaze towards the Manager and asked in a haughty tone, "Are you the manager here?"

The Manager hurriedly nodded his head and replied in a tone that was as friendly as possible, "That's right, sir, I'm Logan, the manager of this restaurant."

Tristan nodded and said, "Does your Restaurant recruit waiters carelessly? Can this stupid rubbish like him become a waiter in a restaurant as big as the famous Franktuary Restaurant in Warlington?" asked Tristan haughtily.

After that, he continued while looking at Manager's face sharply, "If the waiters you hire are of such low quality, then this could damage the image and reputation of this Restaurant; with this, sooner or later, no one will be willing to come here."

Hearing Tristan's words, the Manager hurriedly nodded, bowed and then said, "Sorry for the inconvenience, sir; this is all my fault for carelessly recruiting unprofessional waiters; this all happened because our restaurant is currently short of waiters, so we recruited waiters not strictly because some of them are part-time waiters and not permanent waiters."

The Manager's apology and lengthy explanation still didn't make Tristan relax his pressure.

With an arrogant attitude, he said, "Our purpose of coming to this restaurant is to eat, drink and have fun; this is because we already know the restaurant's reputation, but unexpectedly your waiter has made a fatal mistake. Do you know the loss I suffered due to your waiter's carelessness? Look at me; don't you see how I am now? Can this be solved with just an apology?" Tristan said to the Manager.

When the Manager heard that, he started to feel pressure, unlucky for him to accept Jaxon's application to work as a side waiter at this restaurant.

With this, the Manager again said, "Sir, our waiter did make a fatal mistake, but things may be beyond our control. As a sign of apology from us, we would like to make an offer to you to come tomorrow to this restaurant on the 3rd floor, we will prepare a platinum room for you for free and be sure that you will get exclusive service from us if you are willing then I hope today's problem is enough until here," said the Manager making a tempting offer.

Tristan's heart leapt with excitement, hearing Manager's offer, knowing that the restaurant had different levels on each floor and the rooms were divided into categories.

The bronze category is the lowest, and the diamond category is the highest.

But the offer of enjoying a meal in the platinum room wasn't too bad either; it was much better than the silver room he and his friends were in.

But to maintain his arrogant demeanour, he still gave a condition, "Alright, I'll assume that the matter is over here, but I would like this stupid waiter to be fired immediately to avoid future problems."

Then Tristan continued, "If a waiter like this stays here and makes another mistake, then this restaurant will become a laughing stock for many people, Mr Manager, I accept your offer to come tomorrow but fire this stupid waiter."

The Manager who heard that Tristan accepted his apology immediately nodded and said, "You can be sure that tomorrow when you come to our restaurant, you will not see this waiter again."

For him, it was acceptable to sack Jaxon, who was just a side waiter, but if news of the restaurant's poor service got out, he would be in big trouble with his superiors.

For this reason, he felt that sacking Jaxon would avoid problems in the future.

Then with a respectful bow Manager Logan said, "Well, sir, if this matter has been settled, then I will take care of this servant first, and I excuse myself."

Tristan just snorted and nodded his head slightly.

Seeing the response from Tristan, the Manager hurriedly said to Jaxon, "You come to my office now!"
