I don't know him

The girl screamed and slapped him.

“Let go of me, you pervert!” She roared, jumping up and wiping the spot where Anthony's hand touched.

Anthony quickly apologized and ran to the scene where he saw the rest gathering.

He pushed them aside and saw the girl holding a bouquet of ninety-nine roses, designed with notes of hundred dollars.

It was the ultimate gift.

A money bouquet fitted with ninety-nine roses.

She was smiling shyly as Kelvin professed his undying love for her.

There were boxes of gifts at her feet.

Anthony's eyes went to Clara's waist, where Kelvin's palm was resting comfortably.

He immediately saw red and screamed, rushing to Kelvin in anger.

Anthony was already managing to hold on to the last vestiges of his mental health after his mom died, but seeing such a scene from Clara, the only person who gave him hope, made his rationality snap.

He had sacrificed a lot for Clara because he saw her as family, how dare she try to back out now?

He punched Kelvin furiously, making the spectators scream in shock.

“Is he mad? How dare he fight the heir of the Garcia group? Is he tired of living? One word from Kelvin, no company in Seattle will dare to hire him in the future.” someone whispered.

“He's that legendary poor bumpkin, the only scholarship student in royal city college,” someone whispered.

“Clara Jones! Why don't you tell him you already have a boyfriend? Were you planning to cheat on me?” Anthony asked furiously.

“What's he saying?” Kelvin asked angrily as his driver pulled him up.

Kelvin immediately regretted not coming to school with his guards.

He had discharged them, hoping to seem more approachable to Clara.

“I don't know him. He's only someone who occasionally helps me with my assignments or runs errands for me,” Clara quickly denied in panic.

“Can you hear her? You disgusting piece of shit, how dare you raise your hands against me? Do you have a death wish, you penniless bumpkin?” Kelvin roared, trying to slap Anthony.

Anthony smirked and caught his hand.

“All that money you're spending, did you earn it with your ability? You're just a prodigal son wasting the labors of his ancestors!” Anthony bit back, raising an uproar among the crowd.

He was already angry that the hospital treated his mom like a rag, leading to her death. Kelvin poking fun at his lack of money was adding salt to a very painful injury, causing him not to care about the consequences of his actions.

There was nothing to live for anyway, he already lost everything. His money, his beloved mother, and now the damned girlfriend wants to play him for a fool.

Kelvin chuckled, trying to suppress his anger and maintain his cool image before the crowd.

“Stop it! I never dated you! How dare you slander me? Are you delusional? What makes you think that someone of my level will stoop so low as to date a smelly, disgusting, piece of shit like yourself? You're just an obsessed fan, gradually turning into a crazy stalker. Foolish animal, stay away from me!” Clara shouted viciously, slapping Anthony.

“Only a stupid person will want to stay with a cursed soul like yourself. Can you even afford me? Do you know how much my monthly upkeep costs? You can only look up to me! Useless idiot. You're a pig lusting after swan meat!” She added, feeling as if the slap was not painful enough.

Anthony blinked, unable to believe that his girlfriend was still the same Clara before him.

The scales finally fell from his eyes, shattering his already broken heart into irreparable pieces.

“Fine. Since it has already ended up like this, give me my fifty thousand dollars. There's no need holding on to a broken shard of glass, it only deepens the wound,” Anthony said calmly, looking at her.

Clara immediately panicked on hearing his suggestive words, but she quickly masked her expression.

“What's he talking about? Are you owing this beggar?” Kelvin asked, pulling Clara into his arms while frowning.

At once, murmurs arose from the crowd.

“Could it be that they're really in a relationship? Otherwise, why will someone who's obviously broke give that amount of money to someone else?” A male student asked within the crowd, making Clara uncomfortable.

“We're not into a relationship. After I rejected him, he still kept sending gifts to me, hoping to buy me over. He even transferred money to me, despite the fact I told him that I'm not in need of it. Perhaps he was hoping that the peanuts he kept sending would buy him a chance. I didn't know how else to carefully discharge him. To avoid hurting his feelings, I allowed him to send the gifts and do my assignments. I guess he thought we were dating because I suddenly stopped rejecting his gifts. Ask him if he has even touched my hands, yet he claims we are dating. He's an annoying liar trying to smear my reputation,” Clara said condescendingly, hugging Kelvin's arm tightly.

Anthony glared furiously at her, obviously struck dumb by her lies.

Clara pulled Kelvin in for a kiss, making the crowd cheer for them.

“Pathetic! Useless son of a useless father!” Kelvin spat, touching Anthony's sore spot once again.

He viciously delivered another punch to Kelvin's face before walking angrily towards his dormitory.

After a cold shower, he decided to go and buy dinner.

He hadn't eaten for the whole day.

As he walked absentmindedly, he suddenly noticed the shadows surrounding him.

He looked up and saw Kelvin with a horde of thugs.

“I told you, didn't I? The consequences of crossing me is death." He said coldly, motioning to the thirty thugs with him to pounce on Anthony.

Anthony looked around in panic, noticing that the area was lonely.

His heart Immediately sank, he began to fight the thugs while making a mad dash for escape.

Anthony's body was already littered with bruises and grievous gashes, making blood flow steadily down the various parts of his body.

He shook them off and ran with all the strength he could muster. However, they kept chasing him, pushing him into a desperate situation.

The screeching of car tires was immediately accompanied by his startled scream.

The driver shouted and looked at the young man covered with blood.

He had knocked him down when Anthony ran into the road without looking.

“Why am I so unfortunate?” Anthony whispered as he slipped into unconsciousness.

*****

Anthony slowly opened his eyes, staring at the white ceiling.

The strong smell of disinfectants and the beeping of a monitor alerted him to the fact that he was in a hospital.

He forced himself to sit up and look around, noticing that he was alone in the ward.

Anthony frowned, wondering how he got to the hospital.

However, before he could organize his thoughts, a metallic voice interrupted him.

“Congratulations on awakening the Quintillionaire's spendthrift system. Do you want to accept or reject it?" The metallic voice asked, making Anthony look around, bewildered.
