Quintillionaire's spend-thrift system

Anthony looked around in confusion, wondering where the voice was coming from.

Just then, the doctor walked in.

“Oh! You're already awake. I will be back in a minute to run a full-body check on you. Don't worry about the bills, the person who crashed into you already cleared it all,” the old doctor said with a kind smile, before turning to leave.

“Do you want to accept or reject it?” The metallic voice asked again.

“Doctor, can you hear that?” Anthony asked, making the doctor halt his footsteps.

“Hear what?” He asked, confused.

“You're the only one that can hear me. I'm inside your body. I'm a system, and you're my current host.” The metallic voice answered impatiently.

“Nothing, thanks for your help doctor,” Anthony quickly said, discharging the doctor.

“You're obviously confused. The system chose you, so you're now my master. The system supplies you an endless amount of money, and you can also buy skills with points. Meanwhile, you can earn points for completing little tasks. There's a disaster that's predicted to happen, so the system picked you, hoping that you will get strong enough to avert the disaster. In exchange, it will let you have an unlimited supply of money. There's a quintillion dollars currently available in this system, and more keeps flowing in daily. So, do you want to accept or reject it?” The voice asked again.

“Accept!” Anthony shouted without consideration.

Is there anyone that will reject wealth that was served on a platter of gold?

As for the so-called disaster, who knows when it will occur?

It must be very far away, maybe it might even occur after his death.

A ding sound immediately pulled his attention back to the matter at hand.

“Congratulations master, you have fully merged with the system. Ten million dollars have been deposited in your bank account as a welcome bonus!” The voice announced.

“What do you mean? My account has issues which made it unable to be used for transactions.” Anthony asked in confusion, looking at the credit alert he just received on his phone.

“Such trifles cannot pose a problem to me. You gain more money by completing little missions. Only this ten million dollars came free. However, you have to spend ten million dollars in four hours to be eligible to unlock the task function. Do you want the analysis to begin now? After the analysis, the installation of the system will be completed,” the metallic voice said again.

Anthony quickly nodded.

“Name: Anthony Martinez

Age: 21 years

Race: Human

Nationality: American

Strength: 12 points (very weak)

Agility: 10 points (pitifully weak)

Intelligence: 50 points(considered a genius by earth's standards, but he's just average)

Vitality: 50 points

Memory: 60 points

Prestige: 0 points

Skills: none

It has been detected that the host is feeble indeed and will need a lot of help from the system to become the wealthiest and most powerful man in the world”

Anthony furrowed his brows while staring at the virtual monitor before him.

Why does it seem this system was insulting him?

Just then, the doctor worked in and saw Anthony steadily staring at a spot.

He shrugged and silently examined Anthony.

“You have been discharged. You can leave right now. Be more careful in the future when crossing the road,” the kind old man said before walking away.

Anthony frowned.

It's now obvious that he was the only one seeing the virtual monitor.

“Remember that you have four hours to spend the money in order to be eligible for the task button. Thirty minutes have already gone by," the voice reminded Anthony, making him jump out of the bed and race out of the hospital.

What the hell will he buy with ten million dollars?

He had never handled such a huge amount of money in the past.

He hurriedly flagged down a taxi and rushed to a car dealership.

“I want the most expensive car here!” He anxiously told the sales representative.

The young woman dressed in a corporate black suit scrutinized Anthony from his head down and burst into laughter.

Anthony frowned in confusion.

What's so funny?

He followed the woman's line of sight and scrutinized himself.

Indeed, he looked pitiful.

His clothes were patched and stained with blood.

He looked like a deranged beggar, it only made sense that the young woman found it hilarious.

“Hey you! This is Krebs's palace. If you came in here to make trouble, you won't be able to endure the consequences. Leave here immediately before I call the security to throw you out!” Another shouted.

“Why are you wasting your words on a demented bumpkin? Just allow him to fool around and leave on his own,” the first lady said, filing her nails.

The rest of the women in the room joined in the fun, insulting Anthony.

“Is this how you treat your customers?” Anthony roared angrily.

But they all burst into laughter.

“You're not qualified to be our customer! You're simply wallowing in your delusions,” another lady laughed.

Just then, a young woman came out of the restroom, wiping her hands on a towel.

She stared at the commotion, feeling annoyed by the minute.

She quickly rushed to Anthony, who had just turned to leave.

“Esteemed customer, how may I help you?” She quickly said, making Anthony turn around.

“I want to buy the most expensive car here,” Anthony answered calmly.

The young girl had soothed his anger with her calm words.

“Annabelle is really desperate. She has not made a single sale in three months, making her unable to earn commissions. The manager is planning to sack her. That must be the reason she's paying that beggar attention. He can't even afford the cheapest luxury car in our dealership, but he actually asked for the most expensive. Mtcheew!" Another hissed, infuriating Anthony the more. He was immediately determined to make them regret ever looking down on him.
