Chapter eighty six

Elena rolled over before opening her eyes. She blinked, completely disoriented as she wondered where she was. There was a ringing sound in her head, accompanying it was intense pain. She hissed out, biting her lips, afraid to cry out. Darkness shrouded the unfamiliar room, although through a single lamp cast enough light to make her realize that she was in a luxurious room.

Elena propped herself and sat up, staring blankly at the duvet as she tried to recall the memories of the previous day. She hated the way she was feeling. She felt nauseated, with a headache and her brain felt like cotton. The events of the previous day came rushing back to her mind and she couldn’t resist groaning out in pain.

The door to the room suddenly opened and a familiar figure walked in with a glass of water. “Are you okay?” Rhys asked with concern. Instead of the formal suit she had seen him wearing the previous night, this time he had changed into jeans and a sweatshirt.

“I think so.” She mumbled out,
