Chapter one hundred and eleven

Rhys walked into the warehouse covered in blood, his eyes fixed on Dr. Mikhail, who was still bound to the chair. The scientist was initially excited at his appearance but his eyes narrowed as Rhys approached, a mixture of confusion and anger in his gaze. “What did you do?” He asked carefully.

“I got rid of some pest, per your instructions.” Rhys responded nonchalantly.

“You did what?!” Dr. Mikhail thundered. He had asked Rhys to get in touch with some of his partners so that the warehouse would be raided and he would be set free but Rhys had done otherwise.

“Well, well, well,” Rhys said, his voice low and menacing. “Looks like the tables have turned, don’t they, Doctor?”

Dr. Mikhail snarled, struggling against his restraints. “You are crazy, Rhys. My men will find you, and they’ll make you pay.”

Rhys chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. “Your men? Ha! They’re all dead, Doctor. I took care of them myself.”
