Chapter 4: Back again to the Kensington's house

Kensington Family Mansion.

"My family is willing to offer you guys a huge share in our company, two A-class mansions in our estate, and ten million dollars if Catherine agrees to get married to me." Joey, a very popular celebrity businessman, spoke with overconfidence.

Mrs. Marianne, Catherine, and Bridget were sitting down and listening to Joey's proposal.

Catherine wasn't even interested in whatever offer the guy brought, but her mom and her sister were obviously interested as their eyes widened in shock.

"Don't worry, my daughter is all yours!" Marianne immediately stood up with a joyful smile on her face and extended her hands for a handshake. "We can just wrap up the deal right now; where are the documents?" She asked instantly, not ready to let such an offer go to waste without bothering to consider her daughter first.

"Mom, I did not consent to anything he just said." Catherine stood up and held back her mom's hands.

"So you are bent on making my family go down every day? Your bastard of a husband has left you for another woman, and you are here believing he would return." Marianne yelled furiously as she controlled herself not to land a slap on Catherine's face in the presence of Joey.

"Also, you are not doing Aiden and Ava a favour by letting them grow without a father."

Catherine glared at her mom for bringing up the names of her kids. "Don't ever bring my kids into any argument. William left me, but that doesn't mean I should go around prostituting just to get my kids a father."

"Catherine, that bastard got you pregnant and ran away. One can even say you gave birth out of wedlock, and still you don't want to get married to such a fine youngg man." Her sister, Bridget, banged into the argument with a harsh remark.

"You-you.... Don't dare bring up my children in any conversation," Catherine turned and pointed threateningly at her sister. "I didn't birth my lovely kids out of wedlock; you were the one who gave birth out of wedlock. Pardon me, I should be the one asking you instead.

Where is the bastard who got you pregnant and ran away, leaving you with Damian to take care of you all by yourself? I guess you don't even know the owner of the child because you were going around spreading your leg for those rich bastards that only want your body." Catherine fired at her sister furiously.

Joey sat there, smiling as he looked at the three. His blonde hair swayed in the air as cool breeze blow from the different AC stationed at the different corners of the sitting room.

'Catherine, such a fine woman. Your body is the only thing I want. If I have your body on my bed, I'll be the happiest man alive.' Joey thought to himself with a perverted smile.

'No matter how many times you reject me, you will still end up as my woman. No lady born of a woman has ever escaped my grasp; you are quite a fiesty one, but I'll do everything to have you.'

"I..." Bridget opened her mouth several times, but words failed her.

At that moment, the door to the sitting room opened, which got the attention of everyone.

William and Bruce slowly walked in, dressed in casual clothing.

Their arrival caused the whole place to go silent in the graveyard at once.

Mrs. Marianne broke the silence. "William, you money-sucking demon! What are you looking for in the Kensington family? Scram before I blink my eyes twice." "And who gave you permission to enter? Bastard, can't you knock?"

Bruce looked at William weirdly; in his mind, he thought, 'Who is the crazy woman? Is she dead in the head?'

William gave Bruce a signal, asking him to stand down and play along.

Bruce complained inwardly; these people didn't even greet the supreme general, which could cause many to go down their knees at the mention of his name, and this woman was spouting nonsense.

"Mother-in-law, I am back." William smiled sweetly and spread his hand wide.

"Back for what? Back to messing with my daughter's head so she would give you money? That would never happen again. Now scram! Get out of my house before I call the police." She yelled.

Catherine stood there, staring at William as though he was a ghost who had just returned from the land of the dead!

She was lost as to what to say and how to react.

"Mother-in-law, calm down a little bit; barking is not good for your health and is only going to make you turn older faster than the norm." William smiled, revealing his whitish teeth.

"Me, barking? I said it! You are here to insult me; you are here to beat me like you did the last time. Come on, bring out your hands, and fight like a man. Come on, kill me! Kill me!" She brought her head towards him in a provocative manner as she moved her body back and forth like a boxer.

Bruce quickly stepped in front of William to shield him from this crazy woman.

"Don't get close to my bo......."

"Bruce!!"

William reprimanded him in a loud voice.

Bruce sighed deeply and stepped out of the way.

"No, leave him; let him beat me for you. Isn't that what you know how to do? Steal your wife's money and beat her mother; c'mon, beat me; take those manly hands and beat me till my old bones break to pieces."

William kept his smile. To be honest, this Mrs. Marianne deserves numerous awards for her acting skills.

Most A-class actors can't even take on the scenes she has taken in the few minutes since he arrived.

"So you are that useless brat they have always spoken about?" Joey stood up and proudly made his way towards William with his hands behind his back.

William gave him the Who-the-fuck-are-you look while Bruce glared at him.

"I'm Joey McAllister, the heir of the Alister business group." Joey introduced himself.

"Who asked?" Bruce barked at him.

William rolled his eyes at Joey without saying a word from his mouth.

"It seems you don't know who my father is, the head of the Alister business group worth hundreds of millions of dollars. A man like you can never reach such heights, even if you commit crimes hourly."

"By the way, what brought both of you here? You are dressed like laundry men..." Joey grinned. He turned to Bridget and asked, "Did you send for laundry men?"

"They are supposed to be here in the evening; I guess the company decided to make it fast because they are aware of my family status and sent these two in the process, but I don't need them. A man like him should never step foot in our mansion ever in your entire life." Bridget walked towards both of them.

"William and whosoever is with you, I have cancelled my order for you guys. You can leave now." She said.

'So he wasn't here for me after all!' Catherine felt saddened and furious within herself.

She turned her back against everyone and slowly climbed up the stairs.

"Catherine." The gentle voice of William resounded in her ear, which made her halt in her step.
