Your generation will pay

Chapter 6

"Why are you making things worse for me? Why are you making things worse for everyone?" Mr. Stiles' voice boomed. "You should have just remained hidden. What are you even doing here now? Do you think violence can solve everything? Do you think I am a fool for begging? No, I am not a fool. I am just doing what needs to be done!"

Tyler flipped his hair backwards in anger, clenched his fist out of frustration. He doesn't understand why Mr. Stiles is begging, or what he (Mr. Stiles) was afraid of.

"I already told you, father, you don't need to be scared. Why can't you trust me when I say no one can harm you?" Tyler paused and stared challengingly at Albert. "I'll make sure of that," he said, each words that proceeded out of his mouth weighing promises.

Mr. Stile shut his eyes momentarily as he shook his head in contradiction, and also tapping his on the ground in panic.

"You don't understand the situation, Tyler. I am the only one who can save Adrianna. I am the only one who can save her. There's nothing you or anyone else can do to help. All you need to do is to get out of here," Mr. Stile said.

"Father..."

"Don't call me father if you are not ready to listen to me," Mr. Stiles rebuked Tyler.

"There's something I can do," Tyler said, his voice firm and reassuring. "I can protect you and the rest. That's the most I can do. You don't have to be scared; you have me. I won't allow anyone to harm you. Never. I won't allow it." Tyler's eyes showed determination and sincerity as he spoke.

"Don't be a fool, son" Mr. Stile said, his voice heavy with concern and a tinge of fear. "Your elder brother is dead. Do you even know the circumstances surrounding his death? No, I guess you don't know." His eyes held a somber gaze as he continued, "The Wilson family killed him. They tortured him slowly and danced to the sound of agonizing screams until he died, and the authorities weren't able to do anything about it. That's how powerful they are. They can get away with anything. They can do anything and get away with it"

Mr. Stiles paused, took a deep breath and put his hands together in a pleading manner as he gave Tyler a desperate look.

"Please listen to me, and don't involve yourself in any of this. I'm afraid they will hear about you and do the same to you, or maybe even worse, and I don't want that." Mr. Stile's words carried a sense of urgency and dread.

After listening to his father's words, Tyler understood why he's (Mr. Stiles) is scared of the Wilson's family. But he (Tyler) doesn't want to back down without a fight.

"They can't do anything to you. You don't have to be scared, father," Tyler replied calmly, trying to convince his father to leave with him.

Mr. Stiles shook his head negatively. "You still don't get it, just go back to your hiding place and be safe. I promise I'll help Adrianna. I'll make sure she doesn't donate her cornea to them. I will do anything in my power. Just leave," Mr. Stile begged, his voice desperate.

"Father, I am not someone to run away; I am going to protect you all at any cost," Tyler stated confidently.

Mr. Stile scoffed loudly in response.

"You aren't someone to run away when you didn't come home for the past three years? How do you expect me to trust that you won't run away now?"

Tyler tried to defend himself but Mr. Stiles cut him off with a raise of his right hand.

"I'm sorry, son, but I just can't trust you. Just leave here and let me face this myself. I'll do everything I can to help Arianna; you don't need to worry about her right now," Mr. Stiles said sternly, leaving no room for arguments but Tyler's too strong headed to listen.

"Father, you have to trust me this time. I will protect all of you. I'm not going to run away. Please, just trust me. I promise I won't run away. I swear on my life!" he pleaded earnestly.

"I can see you aren't even willing to set your daughter-in-law free, because If you were ready, you wouldn't be begging him to go; you'd be instructing him to kneel and apologize to me. He made a grave mistake by coming here and touching me," Mr. Albert stated coolly.

"I am very sorry, Mr. Albert. Just ignore him, he is the least of our problems right now. I will make him apologize once you promise me you'd help me talk to the young master," Mr. Stiles assured calmly.

Mr. Albert scoffed at Mr. Stiles proposal.

"How can I ignore him when he is constituting nuisance here? He's claiming to be invincible, so, I would love to see what he can do. I want to show him we don't just talk here; he has bitten off more than he can chew," Mr. Albert said confidently.

Mr. Stiles' eyes widened at Mr. Albert's words. He began shaking his head desperately, and quickly fell to his knees.

"I am very sorry, Mr. Albert," Mr. Stile apologized. "Don't listen to Tyler, he was just spouting nonsense and doesn't mean any of those words..."

"Father, stand up if you don't want me to do something crazy right now. Stand up!" Tyler commanded. He reached for Mr. Stiles' right arm as he tried to help him up, but he (Mr. Stiles) snatched his arm from Tyler's grip and threw Tyler a scolding glare.

"Don't touch me, just leave already!"

Tyler was about saying something when his phone's ringtone blared loudly. He reached into his back trouser pocket, withdrew it, checked the caller ID which indicated one of his soldiers he asked to stay with his wife. He quickly swiped the answer button and brought the phone close to his ear.

"Speak. Is there any problem?" Tyler asked.

"There is, sir! The Wilson's family just kidnapped your wife," he replied.

"What! When did that happen? How could you allow them to kidnap her? And where were you when they kidnapped her?" Tyler questioned, concern and panic etched on his face.

"I am sorry, general, I went to the restroom for a few minutes and couldn't find her when I returned. The doctor in charge said he tried his best to stop them, but they were too powerful for him," the caller explained.

Tyler's expression changed from concern and panic, and anger washed over his face as he clenched his jaw and grind his teeth against each other.

"You will surely regret this. You will regret not doing your job properly," he warned before ending the call.

Great disappointment and anger etched across his face, he sighed heavily, placing his hand on his forehead in frustration. After a few moments, he lifted his head, determination gleaming in his eyes.

"Nicholas, take my father out of here. I'm not sure if you'll need to persuade him, but use all means necessary to get him to safety. I'll return soon," Tyler instructed calmly.

"Are you running away already? I told you, you are a coward who only talks big," Mr. Albert said.

Tyler moved closer to Mr. Albert, grabbed his collar, and then whispered in his ear.

"You're the least of my problems right now. I can't waste my time on someone like you. I'm coming back to make you and your generations pay," with that being said, Tyler landed a heavy punch on Mr. Albert's face.

"Nicholas, make sure you do a good job," Tyler says before walking out angrily.

"You can't do anything," Mr. Albert responds calmly as he wipes the blood from the corner of his mouth.
