CHAPTER NINETEEN

Adam stared intensely at his father, crossing and uncrossing his legs, as he tried to avoid the temptation of pacing the worn floor, waiting in anticipation for his father to mention the person, he could hardly sit still. One thing was certain, he was going to deal with the person at the right time, not sparing them at all.

Hector took a little while to respond, as though he was scared to speak. Dutifully, Adam gently touched his hands, his face hardened at the fear in his father's countenance, he clenched his fist in anger, trying to assuage his father's fears, he calmly said,

"Father, you have nothing to be worried about. No harm will come near you Father."

"How can you say that!? We have nothing, we are nobody, how can we not worry and be scared of those capable of doing evil." Hector paused, sighing, he continued on, his tone a whisper this time

"How can I not worry, when the very person who sent you to prison, is the same one who had me beat up"
