Following Mira’s instructions, Doctor Wisdom got to work, with everyone keeping their gaze on him with every concentration that they could muster, everyone except Adam who stood casually with his arms folded to his chest while his eyes darted between the doctor, the child and nothing in particular,Doctor Wisdom paused by the child’s birth and glanced at Mira then Madam Ruth,“Considering the severity of the situation, I will be performing a herbal ritual on her, that will stabilise her and hear her heart before a permanent situation is made”Madam Ruth nodded her head enthusiastically while Mira rolled her eyes, and snapped at him,“Do what you have to do! All I know is my child needs to be well, money is no problem! If it's herbs you need, then it's no problem! Madam Ruth sighed exasperatedly as she rolled her eyes, stomping her feet, she almost snapped Adam with her words but was interrupted by Doctor Wisdom, who with arching eyebrow faced Adam and demanded of him,“Young man, I don't know who you are, but I do know one thing, no one would be able to heal this child, and if anyone manages to do so, it'll be nothing short of a miracle and I'll eat my words, and gladly receive slaps”Subtly shaking his head, Adam chuckled and arched his brow as well, Dr. Wisdom was becoming cocky, and it was displeasing to see.Brendan was burning with rage as he stared at Adam before he snapped his head toward Madam Ruth,“Who's this fool and where was he uprooted from?! The entire room was silent for a fraction before it erupted into different expressions of disbelief; mouths slackened, eyes widened, eyebrows were rubbed at and people were at a loss for words,“W-was t-that Geensis that just spoke?”Madam Ruth finally found her voice and spoke in a disbelieving voice, as she gaped at the scene before her, she didn't want to believe nor process the fact that her grandchild had been made well by the hands of the pauper, with unsteady feet, she walked towards the bed.Mira with tears rolling down her eyes gathered her child into her trembling arms, her whole body shook with relief as she enveloped her child,“This is unbelievable!”“I cannot believe my eyes!”Dr Wren and the other guard exclaimed, Dr Wren slightly lifted his head to gaze at Doctor Wisdom, who was still gaping and kept gulping, unable to say anything. “What the hell is your problem, Mira?! Why give him a blank cheque?! Give the man a few change and let him go, if you give him an inch, he's going to want a mile!”Madam Ruth thundered, her entire face and eyes reddening as she spoke, she glared at Adam’s path and hissed. She couldn't understand what her daughter was doing, but she had to be the voice of reason and not let her squander their hard-earned money on someone who didn't know or understand the value of money. “It's my money to spend and not yours Mother! Leaving the Winston’s mansion, Adam placed a call to Vance to confirm their appointment with his contact concerning the herbs,“Vance? What's the update with your source, the one in Leed City?”He could hear Vance sigh over the phone, and he imagined the big burly bully creasing his forehead as he did,“It's a dead end”Vance replied over the phone, at his end, Vance had his fist and jaw clenched tightly; he had been looking forward to Adam meeting the lady, she would have served as a good rival for the saucy Amber, he tsked and rolled his eyes. Adam sighed as well, but one thing he was thankful for was that he at least had Mira’s contact, although he still couldn't shake the feeling that it was probably the same contact as Vance’s own,“That’s fine, I have another contact, so I'll be in touch”Not hearing Vance’s vague reply over the phone, he cut the call as he walked away, cursing himself for not taking a car to take him to the restaurant, he was stuck with taking a taxi once more
