CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED & FOURTEEN

Stefan, cornered and desperate, reverted to his only remaining weapon. With shaking hands, he aimed the deadly spray canister at Adam, hoping to halt Adam's advance with a threat,

"Stay back!" he croaked, his voice betraying his fear.

Adam, his resolve as solid as ever, didn't falter. He eyed the canister with disdain, then shifted his gaze to Stefan, reading him like an open book.

"You won't use that again," he said, his voice calm but laced with a cold promise.

Stefan's finger hovered over the button, his sweat-drenched forehead glistening under the dim light. He glanced at the canister, then back at Adam, his mind racing for a way out.

Adam took another step forward, his fists clenched at his sides, the muscles in his jaw twitching with suppressed rage.

"You've done enough damage, bastard. It ends now," he declared, his voice low and menacing.
