Chapter 18

Kohler walked up to her, regardless of the paper which she saw on the table, and hoped that whatever she had to confess, it wasn’t something which wouldn’t be able to sit well with her, no matter how much she tried to understand.

She had her seat, and let out a sigh.

“You asked to see me.” She uttered as she stared into Deborah’s eyes.

She couldn’t tell yet, if Deborah was sober about what she wanted to say, or she was just trying not to look too weak, especially because they were in public.

“Yes, I did. And that’s because I have a confession to make, just as I have told you already. But first, thank you for accepting to see me, because I know, with all I have said, and done, when it comes to you and your husband, Quincy, you aren’t supposed to care about seeing me, right now.” She uttered and sighed.

“It’s fine. Everyone deserves a listening ear. But right now, what’s important is how fast you get on the matter because I was in the middle of something when you called.” Kohler spoke,
