Chapter 19

When Kohler got home, she tried to avoid Quincy’s inquisitive look as there was no way she could tell him such a thing.

“How was it? What did you both, talk about?” Quincy asked her, out of concern.

“Well, it’s nothing to think about.” Kohler responded as she hung her bag in the room.

“Well, whatever it is, I expect you to talk to me about it.” Quincy insisted, looking at her with worry.

Then she let out a sigh and sat on the bed.

“Well, she only apologized, and said some unnecessary things.”

“I see. Does she think we are going to let our guard down, just because she apologized? No way.” Quincy spoke.

Kohler knew that if Quincy knew what discussion she had actually had with Deborah, he would be angry, and probably make things worse for Deborah, who was reporting her to Mr. Walter.

So, it was best for her not to say a word about it.

“Well, regardless of what anyone does, I’m certain we are going to get the contract,” Kohler uttered, with a smile.
