Morgan's eyes widened as she heard that the chief was on the phone. She looked at Bryan again and then back at Claire. She couldn't believe that a bag of them would have a connection with the CEO of the hotel and talk more about reaching out to him with such urgency. "Yes, master, right away," the guard replied stiffly and turned to Morgana with a wicked smile. "You are fired," he said. "What nonsense are you saying? Get out of here and get back to your duty post at once!" She snapped and tried to drive him away but the guard stood his ground. It had been a long time since Morgana was bullying everyone in the hotel. They all bowed to her because they didn't want to lose their jobs and she was highly connected. Now, for the first time since the man was employed, he had the opportunity to get back at her for all the wrong that she'd done to him, he planned on savoring every minute of that revenge. "What's it going to be, huh?" He asked and pulled out a thick rope from his waistband.
The road was open and dark as he rolled into the front hears of Derek Gudling. The guards outside looked at him oddly and one of them stood in front of his car. "What can we do for you, sir?" He asked with raised brows. Bryan didn't like showing up at the Gudling residence uninvited but he had no choice. His wife's mother was making his life a living hell and he had to prove to the Oscar family sooner rather than later that the documents he presented weren't fake. "It's urgent, I have to meet with Derek Gudling," he replied. The man pursed his lips at the sound of Bryan referring to the lord without his appropriate title. "You mean lord Derek Gudling?" He asked with a nasty scowl and Bryan just nodded. As much as the guard would have loved nothing more than sending him away from his sight because he didn't respect his boss enough, he could remember the events of the previous week, when the boss himself punished a few of his colleagues who had embarrassed Bryan on the porch. That wa
A few minutes later, Derek was in the backseat of the car with Bryan right beside him. He didn't say a word as his eyes focused on the road. He was dressed in a tight leather shirt and trousers. Both seemed to be bulletproof but Bryan wasn't so sure. "I'm glad you know that we might be in danger," he said and Derek raised a brow at him, "Why do you think I know that?" He asked. "Because of your dress up," Bryan replied and the old man looked down at his outfit again with a fond smile. "Ironically, my daughter bought this pair for me a few years back when she went to Spain," he replied, his eyes cast far off as if he was relishing the memory. "Don't worry, she will be fine, we will bring her back, I promise," Bryan assured him. Derek nodded but it was quite clear from the look on his face that he didn't believe in what he said. "Come on, don't tell me you've given up on your daughter already, lord Derek," Bryan said, trying to motivate him. "What do you think? It's not very easy try
The Bentley sped through the street like it was chasing down the hounds of hell. Bryan and Derek sat in the backseat of the vehicle as the driver sped down the road right after it. "You have to be careful so he doesn't know that he's being followed," Bryan warned. The driver slowed down to a decent speed as the car continued to roll down the road after the Bentley. "You know I'm too old for this bullshit, right?" Derek asked Bryan who was looking ahead to the road intently. He turned to stare at him with a gaze, "What do you mean?" He asked a little absentmindedly, his mind still focused on the road ahead. "Come on, don't play dumb with me, boy. You damn well know what I'm talking about. That car, who's in there?" He asked plainly. Bryan shrugged, he didn't want to mess up the lord's mood by telling him that his captive was behind the kidnap of his lovely daughter. He could already imagine how he would feel about that. Maybe anger, maybe disappointment, but either way it was su
Derek stepped out of the elevator and hurried across the hall, his footsteps rather loud and resounding. Bryan had to stop him as he stepped out of the elevator too. "Sir, we have to be careful if we want to get your daughter back in one piece," he said. Derek sighed and slowed down, turning to look at him with a cold stare. "My daughter is in there and she is possibly frightened to death, I am sick and tired of this game! Get her out of here at once!" He snapped. Bryan looked at the old man, he could understand his frustration but he needed him to calm down so they wouldn't end up messing up the entire plan. "My source tells me that she is holed up right here on the top floor. We should be able to find her soon," he replied. "Fine!" Derek sneered in frustration and looked around the lathe hotel. "What do we do?" He asked. Bryan pulled out his phone and was able to connect with one of the insiders he had in the hotel, "Sure, we're heading there at once," he replied to the person
The sounds of the men inside were gradually muffled by the soundproof door. Derek was almost going berserk and Bryan had to keep him in check. "What's the deal? Are you going to run in there and bring her out yourself?" He asked. Bryan tried to restrain the lord and advise them to listen and find out what was going on. "My men will be here any moment from now," he assured. Soon, the men walked out of the room and closed the door behind them. Bryan once again tried to hold Derek back but he couldn't be stopped, he skipped out from behind the tank, and in a matter of seconds, he grabbed Henry by the wrist and as he turned to face him, Derek delivered a punch to his face. The much younger man, reacting upon being assaulted, didn't waste a second in throwing a counter punch himself and suddenly, the two almost broke out in a fight. The thug who was with Henry tried to interfere and gang up on Derek but Bryan was faster and he moved in to stop them. He threw a punch at the man and push
Derek and Henry looked at each other intently for the next few minutes. They both had their faces contorted into a mask of hurt and anger. "You think there's a way to get out of this other than behind bars?" Bryan asked as he looked at the man and his thug. Both of them were already getting desperate, that they were wrapping onto anything that could get them out of the mess that they were already so soaked up in. "Shut the fuck up, man! This is a freaking family issue!" Henry snapped and the guard also growled at Bryan, trying to shut him up. Derek still has his eyes fixed on Henry but he kept glancing at his daughter who was in the thug's hold, her head lulled back to the side. "Why the fuck aren't your men here?" Derek asked suddenly and with frustration. He'd been waiting for the men to storm into the place so he could take his daughter out of the hold of the hands of both men. "You are bringing men here?" Henry asked angrily and the man who had Dagma trapped held on to her t
Dagma and Derek walked out of the hotels heavily guarded by the army men that Bryan had brought. Henry was handcuffed and dragged out of the premises and his thug was even in worse shape. "I don't want the media picking up any of this to make headlines," Derek warned. At once, the army officers got some of the phones that the staff were slowly pulling out to cover the incident. "Delete this immediately!" The leader of the legion snapped at one of the guards who quickly took it from the rest of them and dutifully deleted the videos. "We're very sorry," the man said. "I'm sorry we took the video, we're all so shocked to find out that the CEO is involved in such activities, the lady Dagma is his favorite cousin, they have many fond memories together and she loves him," the man explained and shook his head. "That's all in the past. This hotel could be sealed off depending on what gets out there. If you still want to keep your job, then don't say a word," the army man ordered her and he
