Liam continued to stare at the beautiful lady for a while, unable to resist the urge to admire her. Everything about her made him want to know more about her, her smile, great beauty, and especially her good sense of humor.

“It’s really nice to meet you, Maya. I wonder what a pretty girl like you is doing in a place like this.” Liam looked around the tavern, expressing his displeasure.

“Well, not everyone is opportune to come from a rich family like you. I am sure you have someone who cooks for you.” Maya retorted at once, cleaning the inside of one of the glasses with the white napkin she grabbed from the counter below her.

“And you can tell this by merely looking at me?” Lim asked with a voice a little above a whisper, looking at Maya who slowly lifted her face from the glass she was carefully holding onto, and nodded in response.
