Chapter 37: Gift of Gratitude

"Wow!" Robert exclaimed loudly. Jude laughed amused by his exclamation. "Are you serious, grandfather? That is so amazing." He stood up, clapping happily as he walked around the room. Jude's eyes didn't come off him as he walked about. Robert's enthusiasm reminded him so much of his late son, Pierce. And that convinced him further that Robert was the right man for the job.

"You remind me so much of your father, my boy. And I know you will make proud just as he did. I know you'll do even greater works than he did." Robert smiled, not knowing what to say. He nodded and finally mouthed the words "thank you".

"I am grateful for all your support, grandfather. But is there anything you have to say to me now? Because I think we should be on our way to visit Raymond."

"Oh, yes. That's true. There isn't anything else, my child. I'll get ready quickly." Jude said, getting out of bed as Robert walked out.
