Tobin purposely played dumb but when he and his wife reached home, he explained the context of the bid at his firm, and promised to teach her how to place it and win. He would use his connection as the CEO to win the offer for her so she can become the family CEO.

He told his wife to trust him and do as he has said, because he has inner information as he worked at that firm now.

Hailey was certainly not sure but she trusted her husband and did just as he'd asked her to after lots of persuasion. She placed the bid for her family without noticing the others.

It was Tobin's first day at work. He was well dressed and made sure he smelled nice. He had gone for a quick shopping the night before, getting his wife some new fancy attires too. He lied the company had provided a free bonus fee that allowed them to make quick shopping for a few expensive and quality outfits.

He was at work now and people still stared at him with a surprising look, probably wondering who he was. His secretary, Holly Reinfred, a young slender lady with hair wrapped into a neat ponytail walked forward to meet him just as he stepped inside.

She gave a slight bow. "Mr. Tobin, we've been waiting for you--"

Tobin saw that faces were turning to face him. He didn't want to create awareness just yet so he told her to pretend and not create awareness. She comported herself.

"I'll be the head of sales, I heard that position is blank for now. I don't what to announce I'm the CEO for a personal reason. I'm sure Federico must have explained that to you." He said to her and she nodded.

"I'm sorry, sir. My bad. Please come this way, I still need to introduce you to the staff members." She said to him.

He was introduced to the receptionist, dark skinned pretty lady, then the sales members consisting of a number of four, two ladies and two men. He was introduced to a few of the board members who were present at the moment, as well as other people.

It was then that he told his secretary, Holly to announce to the staff that they should take only his wife's bidding.

Meanwhile at home, Hailey and received a call from her mother.

"How dare you, moron! You were here yesterday and you never mentioned that you would be placing a bid with the family name!" Her mother yelled out via the phone.

Hailey frowned. How did they know..."listen mother, you don't need to be angry. You did say that you wanted one of us to win the offer for the family. If I win, I don't have to marry any old man. Why are you so angry?"

"Shut up your mouth! Tell your husband that we will be coming over now--"

"--he's at work, mother. He's busy. He has a job now, remember?" Hailey said. She could almost feel the anger that was on her mother's face.

"Well whenever he comes back, he'll have a lot of explaining to do then." She said and hung up.

Hailey quickly called her husband to explain what had happened. Evening came and her family had been invited over.

"How dare you do this, sister? It's an embarrassment and you can actually put our family in shame forever if you loose! We would become the laughing stock of the town!" Rosa said.

Her mother was telling something again but Tobin got up and shut them all up. They all looked shocked at him for being confident like that. How dare he?

"It was all my idea." He said calmly.

"How dare this filthy rag, huh?" Cami said and hissed. She looked at her son, Justin who had not even uttered a word since morning.

"Can you believe this, son?" she said again but got no reply from him. She ignored him with a heavy roll of her eyes. She always called him a bastard for his behavior sometimes.

Rosa on the other hand was just like her mother. "It is so rude of you, in case you don't know. Our family is very well known in town, and you risk putting out name out just like that? What support do you have? You just resumed today!"

"That's right. It's not even like you're the owner of the company or anything!" Cami said.

Tobin smiled at what she just said, but he quickly composed himself again. "If you will listen to me, Mrs. Blanco, Miss Rosa."

Cami's mouth flung wide open. He usually called her mother, and now he was calling her directly by her surname? Even Rosa was surprised. Tobin's wife only kept quiet, staring in shock too as her husband was always gentle.

He stood so tall that it was as if he was a president giving speech to the country. "I dare you to take a bet, if you're confident enough."

"Bet? What foolish bet is that?" Cami said.

"Good, listen clearly now." Tobin said. Surely enough, they were all too stunned to even distract him. "This bid, if Hailey wins it for the family, just as you've said, you will make her the family CEO. And you will never ever mention us divorcing again, or her aborting our baby."

"And if you loose? What do we get!" Rosa asked.

"If she loose the bid, then I will leave Hailey for good."

There was a loud gasp. Everyone including his wife was shocked he would say something like that, but she kept quiet because she trusted her husband.

"Ha! How can you live with such a weak man, sister? He's ready to ditch you now. He just doesn't wants to say it now. But I'm sure he's cheating on you already, ha! How can you win the bid when you don't have any power?" Rosa teased.

Hailey's face was hard as she would not give her family the pleasure of seeing her scared. Justin said nothing but he was surely enjoying the show.

"Think you all, do we have a deal or not? I promise to leave Hailey for good if she looses the bid." Tobin said again.

This time, Cami and her daughter bursted out into laughter. Both Tobin and his wife said nothing. After a while, Cami was the one to talk.

"Whatever then. Let's get this over with. We don't loose anyway. Once she looses the bid, Hailey will abort that baby and come back to marry the rich man I approve of." she said.

Deep down, Hailey couldn't help but be afraid of such a heavy bid. What if she doesn't win?

What if it was true that her husband was cheating on her and wanted a way to divorce her??

"Good then. We will meet here again next week after the news release."
