Chapter 6

Melvis woke up in the morning with a refreshed body. His sleep last night was comfortable and restful in the luxurious and spacious soft bed. After finishing his business with Charles yesterday, Melvis moved into this elegant house. From now on, he lived in the large and luxurious home Alex had provided secretly. The biggest and most luxurious house in the city of Meldam.

"I haven't slept this well in a long time." Melvis spread his arms while stretching his neck muscles that felt stiff after yesterday's beating. He moved her neck left and right. His hands were also sore, especially the tip of his fist, which was still red and slightly sore.

Melvis got off the bed and opened all the windows in the room, letting the morning air into his room. He went into the bathroom, cleaning himself up. After he finished cleaning herself, Melvis opened the large closet in his room. Rows and rows of luxurious clothes were neatly arranged in there. Melvis chose one of the outfits and left the room.

"Good morning, Young Master Melvis." Several servants bowed their heads respectfully. "Young Master, the Great Master is waiting for you to have breakfast together."

Melvis nodded his head. One of the servants raised his hand, inviting Melvis to walk first to the veranda on the second floor. Melvis walked slowly towards her grandfather, who was enjoying black tea while looking at the yard.

Alex gave Melvis a quick look, then glanced at the empty chair across the table. "Sit down!" Melvis obeyed Alex's command, sitting on the chair.

Some waiters came in with a trolley of food. They placed the plates of food one by one on the round table in front of Alex and Melvis. The food served on the table was quite diverse, but Alex chose to have a slice of bread for breakfast since he had already had tea.

Melvis chose a toasted egg sandwich topped with boiled chicken for breakfast. The breakfast menu was certainly different from the food he usually ate. The atmosphere between them was still awkward. Melvis still didn't feel like he was really dealing with his grandfather.

After finishing breakfast, Alex ordered his aide to bring something to them. Paul, Alex's aide, handed over a white envelope with the logo of the largest laboratory in the city. Of course, it made Melvis' forehead furrow, wondering silently. What was inside the envelope?

Paul bowed his head respectfully as he held out the envelope to Alex. "Here, Master."

Alex reached for him, and Paul took a few steps back, letting the grandson and the leg talk one-on-one. Alex opened the envelope and placed the letter with the lab test results on the table before Melvis. "Those are your lab results. It says that 99% of your DNA is the same as mine. Because the evidence shows it is legitimate, you are indeed my biological grandson."

Melvis confusedly grabbed the piece of paper and read it. He didn't understand, but one thing was certain, that it was genuine. He didn't need to doubt the authenticity of the letter. Judging from the laboratory's logo, it was clearly not just any ordinary laboratory.

Alex got up from his chair and turned his back to Dustin with his hands folded behind his waist. He looked calmly at the sky. "You must prepare to inherit everything. Whether you want it or not, you have to accept your lifeline. I will help you to be more prepared and appropriate. I have prepared all the facilities you need."

Melvis was still in confusion. He could only silently watch Alex's back from behind. Alex turned his body around to look at Melvis. "But your identity as the heir of the Tucker family, no one should know for now because it will be very dangerous for you. Some are unhappy with this decision, and even more dangerous, they can kill you."

Melvis' eyes widened at that. It turned out that being the heir to a rich man was more challenging than she imagined in the movies. "Then why did you involve me in such a dangerous matter?"

Alex smiled at Melvis' question. "Then, who else should inherit all my wealth but you? You're the only family member I have." He stepped closer to Melvis. "You just relax, I won't let you down."

Alex clapped his hands once, and then Paul returned with a man named Quen. They bowed their heads respectfully before Alex and Melvis. Melvis rose from his chair, looking at the two men.

Alex raised his hand up, heading towards Quen. "Meet, this is Quen, your personal servant, Melvis. He's also very good at martial arts. Mastered many strategies in guarding. His intelligence cannot be doubted either. He can get any information you need. You can rely on him. From now on, he will always be by your side."

Quen again bowed his head respectfully, honoured by Alex's praise. "Thank you, Master. Please do me a favour."

Melvis nodded his head respectfully. He agreed to accept Quen as his personal servant and protector, although he still felt uncomfortable because he was not used to being treated this way.

Alex glanced at his watch, then tapped Melvis lightly on the shoulder. "I have to go because of some business. You can do anything here. All the servants here will serve you well." Alex walked away with Paul, leaving Melvis and Quen behind.

Melvis thought of something. He wanted to avenge Jimmy, who had kicked him out yesterday, damaging all his belongings, and nothing could be used anymore. Even the clothes he had were all dirty and mixed with mud.

Melvis looked at Quen, then approached him awkwardly. Quen gave a small smile while bowing his head respectfully. "May I help you, sir?"

"Can you also level buildings?" Melvis asked straight to the point. Although he was actually unsure of the question himself.

Quen smiled as he nodded his head. "Yes, sir. Whatever you command, I will do."

Melvis smiled happily, seemingly excited to hear the answer from Quen. "Then, follow me now somewhere."

"Yes, Master." Quen nodded his head while bowing respectfully.
