CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND THIRTY-NINE

Immediately, he heard the gunshot, and Logan became alert. He looked around the scene to find out who had shot the gun as he pulled his gun out of his pocket. That's when he saw Jeff, lying on the floor in a pool of his own blood. He had been shot. His jaws dropped.

Looking at the scene before him, Logan felt like he had been kicked in the gut. The look of devastation on his face was haunting, a reflection of the anguish that gripped his heart. He felt his heart being ripped out of his chest. Josie's screams brought him out of this frozen state. He took his eyes off Jeff's pale face and tried to look for the shooter.

Just then the sound of a power bike caught his attention and Logan's instincts kicked in. He realized that he was the shooter. He raised his gun and shot the biker but he missed. Pissed that he missed the shot, Logan decided to run after the biker to catch up with him but before he could run any further, Josie yelled at him,
