CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

Josie stormed into the room, hoping that she would find Logan there but there was no sign of him, not even a sign that he had been in that room. She began to panic thinking that he had probably gotten a chance to escape. Her mind immediately went to what her grandfather would do if he found out that Logan had gone missing or probably escaped. The thoughts of what her grandfather would do reminded her of the alarm device he had given her earlier. He had told her to click on the alarm device if anything happened and that would alert him to send help to her.

She quickly opened her purse and pulled out the alarm device. Just as she was about to click on it as instructed by her grandfather, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She jolted in shock and turned around to see who had tapped her only to come face-to-face with Logan himself. She breathed a sigh of relief as she saw him. He did not escape after all, she thought.

"Where have you been? I've been looking all over for you," Josie said.
