Chapter twenty four

Adrian was dumbfounded, and his heart began to pound in fear. How did he know him? Did he do research on his grandfather's company? Even still, he didn't think he ought to be recognized that easily.

“What do you mean?” Adrian managed to ask, although he couldn't hide the tremble in his voice. “You know me?”

Just then, Wilson barked out a laugh and walked towards him. He placed a hand on his chin, and raised his head, looking at him, even though he wasn't taller than Adrian was.

“Young chap. You seem familiar. I just don't know where I've seen you.” He said, and his eyes fell on the fake business card.

“Joe Turner.” He murmured. “You’re into tech?”

“Yes, sir. Our company is intending to be one of the largest tech companies in the city. But of course, yours will still be greater than ours.” Adrian said, trying to banish the fear from his voice.

“Let him go. He doesn't look like the con artists roaming around these days. And if he is, you all know how they end up.” The men left Adria
