Chapter twenty three

His ears perked up naturally, eager to hear more. After his encounter with the strict receptionist, he was desperate for any lead on Steve Wilson.

He just wasn't expecting it from a cab driver.

“How did you know about Steve Wilson?” He questioned her, with a raised brow, keen to hear her response.

“Well, it’s a story I don’t really want to talk about.” She responded dryly like she couldn't care less, but looking at her through the front mirror, he could tell that her countenance had fallen.

It made Adrian even more curious. For her to have such a reaction to Steve Wilson, then it could only mean that she had to know him on a more personal level. An outsider watching Steve Wilson couldn't just have that kind of reaction.

Moving forward, he spoke, “I came here to see Steve Wilson. You know something about him, don't you? How about telling me what you know about him? It shouldn't cost a lot, should it? You’ve been helping me since I got to Paris. How about you help me one more time?”
