Chapter twenty two

He looked back abruptly, hoping he wasn’t about to experience an unfortunate incident. But thankfully, his eyes fell on the lady whom he met at the airport earlier.

“What are you doing around here?” Adrian asked, out of curiosity, wondering if she was following him.

“I should be asking that. I thought you said you were going to wait for a cab. Why are you walking with your luggage in your hand?” She questioned, giving Adrian a look that seemed like she knew his kind of person; that is people who are too stubborn to listen.

“Even if I followed you, won’t I have to walk? The only difference is I won’t have to carry my luggage.”

Then the lady burst out in laughter.

“Are you for real? So, you thought I meant I was going to carry your bag, and then we’ll walk to your destination? Oh, come on. This is the 21st century.” She said as she dabbed her hand.
