Chapter 9

Just a week later, Tina paced in her room as she tried Reed's number for the umpteenth time, but he wasn't picking up. "Why is he not answering my calls? I'm freaking scared already," Tina panicked. Just when she was about to try his number again, her mom walked in with a serious face. "What is it, Mom?" Tina tried to act calm.

"Tina, we need some money to shut your stupid father down. He's threatening us with exposing our plans if we don't pay him fifty dollars, and I seriously don't have that on me right now," her mom explained. Tina just sighed. "I have no money too," Tina spoke in a very low tone, but her mom could hear what she had just said.

"Just borrow it from your rich boyfriend or ask him. He'd give it to you since you're his beloved girlfriend. I saw your photo together in the entertainment news, and you look cute, but the headlines are not good," her mom told her.

"Well, I've been trying to reach him for a fucking week, but he hasn't been answering. And when I went to his apartment, I was told he traveled," Tina sighed sadly. Her mom's eyebrows raised instantly. Something clicked in her mind, and she immediately asked, "Have you slept with him?" she asked.

Tina lowered her gaze before answering, "Yes," she spoke the truth. "What?" her mom yelled. "How can you be such a fool? You allowed a man to use you, and now he isn't picking up your calls!" her mom yelled at her. Tina was already burning with anger. She didn't know when she yelled at her mom.

"It's all because of you, Mom! Before it got to this, I told you we should back off. I didn't want revenge on Gorya anymore, but you didn't listen to me. Now this is really fucked up!" "Park!" a slap landed on Tina's cheeks. She held her face tight, staring at her mom's angry face. "You dare shout at me!" she barked. Tears began rolling down her cheeks. "Make sure you get the money quickly and let's pay your useless father before he spills anything. I don't have time for your nonsense this morning," she said, walking out.

But before she left, she walked closer to Tina. "And remember to get on Thames' good side because he's already focusing on that bastard, Gorya," she whispered into her ears before walking out finally. "Why?!" Tina cried aloud.

She immediately checked her phone for the news her mother had talked about. Her eyes widened when she saw the headlines, "THE PLAYBOY BILLIONAIRE HAS ANOTHER SIDE CHICK APART FROM HIS SECRET FIANCEE." After seeing this, she stormed out angrily. She spotted her dad and stepsister discussing, but she didn't even have time to chat or argue. Her mom just stood by the door, watching, frowning, expecting her to do something.

Tina ordered a taxi and drove to Reed's mansion. She had to be very careful because people had already seen the news. She made sure she told the taxi driver to stop from a far distance from the building. Getting out of the taxi again, she was about to walk towards the building when she saw him emerge with a beautiful lady. Her face dropped immediately. So the rumors were true! He had a fiancée and still used her, taking her integrity away from her.

She got so angry and started walking towards the building. "And that was the guy who traveled," she fumed in anger. Reed sighted her from a distance and sighed. "Hey Bella, that's one of my exes," he whispered into the girl's ear. She nodded with a smile on her face.

Tina's face burned with rage as she walked closer to them. "Reed!" she snapped. "Hey Tina, how are you doing?" he asked innocently. "Oh, spare me all that nonsense," she waved her hands. Reed frowned but smirked afterwards. She saw this and knew something was wrong. "What's your name, miss?" Bella asked nicely. Tina just rolled her eyes. "Okay, let me tell you who I am. I'm Tina, Reed's real girlfriend," Tina clenched her fist. Bella burst into serious laughter. Tina stared at her.

"Wow, these girls are really desperate to be your girlfriend," Bella mocked. "See, I'm being nice," Bella moved closer to her. Tina staggered backward. Reed smirked as he watched the scene.

"Never, ever let me see you near my husband, or else you'll regret stepping your feet in this world, you poor wretched bitch!" Bella snapped, taking Reed's hand and walking off. Tina just stood there like a statue, shock written all over her face.

Lisa entered, meeting her dad and mom talking, not even realizing she was at the door. "We have to relocate quickly. He's going to find us and kill us if I don't act fast," the man said. "What? I warned you about this, Daniel, but you didn't listen. Now this man is threatening to kill you if you don't find Mr. Bruce. My daughter's life is at risk!" Mona yelled at him.

"Yeah, I know. That's why we have to relocate quickly," Daniel explained. "Everyone thinks Mr. Bruce and Mrs. Emma are dead, and you helped this evil man cover up his sins. This is total nonsense. It's either we end this marriage or you do the right thing and expose this man," Mona warned. "You know I can't," Daniel tried moving closer to her.

Just then, Lisa came out from her hiding place, shaking. "Dad," her tiny voice came out shaky. The two couples' eyes widened.

"I'm really tired of this job already," Thyme mumbled. He walked upstairs, heading towards Kelvin's room. He had ordered a coffee earlier. When he reached the door, he heard someone yelling from inside. Eavesdropping on the conversation, his eyes widened.

He knocked, walking in. Kelvin frowned, looking at him. Thyme walked to the table and dropped his coffee on it, turning back to leave. Kelvin asked him, "Did you hear anything?"
