"Young Master, would you like to go to the company with me?" Albert asked as he looked at Alex who was eating in the dining room.
"Nope, I'm not interested in going, I want to head to the mall." Alex shook his head and replied.
"Alright Young Master," Albert nodded and didn't say anything more.
He could care less about what Alex was going to do at the mall, besides he was in no position to ask. Even if he asked, there was nothing he was going to do with the information.
"Alright old man, let's go." Alex sighed and stood up from the dining after some minutes.
"I'll drop you at the mall," Albert said as he stood up and walked out of the villa alongside Alex.
He had come to Orange City to take a look at the companies which were located here. He had been staying at Orange City for the past month and thus decided to buy a villa Instead of living at the hotel which was where he brought Alex to the night before.
That morning, he was considering signing a contract with some of the top companies in Orange City and thus was heading to the company. But since Alex wanted to go to the mall, he was going to drop him off there first.
Besides, he was going to leave Orange City alongside the Young Master to North East which was where the main company of the family was located. The ones in Orange City were small and it would be belittling the Young Master if he asked him to manage. It.
Though the family had their wings spread out throughout the whole of Emberland, their strength was more concentrated in North East. Besides, the competition there was very fierce and he was sure that the Young Master was now mature enough to be able to control the company.
Thinking about all these, Albert shook his head, once he was done with signing the contract, they were going to head back straight away.
"Sir, we are at the mall." The driver's voice came, bringing Albert out of his thoughts.
"Young Master, take this." Albert smiled and gave a black card to Alex.
"Come meet me at Nebular Enterprise when you're done, we'll be heading back to North East once I'm done with the contract."
"Alright, old man." Alex nodded as he came out of the car.
He also didn't want to stay in Orange City. He would have already gone back the night before if it was not for the fact that the old man told him he wanted to sign a contract first before they headed back.
Besides, he was also shocked the night before as he didn't expect the old man to arrive that fast. He had been expecting the old man to send one of his subordinates to Orange City to pick him up.
He didn't expect that the latter was in Orange City. Well then it was none of his business, he was going to resume work once he got to North East.
Pushing all thoughts to the back of his mind, Alex looked at the mall in his front and sighed. Looking at the card Albert had given him, he shook his head and put the black card into his pocket.
Walking into the mall, Alex sighed as he looked around. He wanted to get some clothes, but all the ones he saw were just too expensive. The last three years had changed his mindset greatly and now he preferred to dress in simple clothes, so he was rather confused as to what type of clothes he was going to buy.
In the future, he was just going to let Albert order some clothes for him. It was too troublesome to come to the mall and look for clothes he was going to wear.
After looking around for a while, Alex shook his head and decided to go to meet Albert at Nebular Enterprise. After all, he didn't seem to be able to make a choice.
"Bitch, how dare you try to blame me, you broke the necklace and yet you want to accuse me."
"Ma'am, you can't do this, you know I'm innocent."
"Bitch, you think that'll save you, when your manager comes later, it'll be better to tell him how you broke the necklace."
Voices drifted into Alex's ears just as he was about to walk out of the clothing section. Immediately next to the clothing section was the Jewelry section.
Inside was a teenage girl crying as she looked at a woman while trying to defend herself. On the floor was a piece of a broken necklace. Because the woman's back was facing Alex he didn't see who it was nor did he want to see.
What was happening was none of his business anyway, so he just turned around and intended to leave when a cold snort came.
"Oh, it's you, I didn't know you're a bit of a stalker, how dare you follow me here. What the hell do you want."
Alex froze hearing the voice and he turned around sharply coming in face with the woman whose back had been facing him just now.
Seeing the woman, the frown on his face deepened, this was the woman who had made him break a glass of wine yesterday.
"Why are you all silent now, huh?" The woman snorted coldly, bringing Alex back to his senses.
Alex shook his head and ignored the woman. He could care less about her. At the moment, he couldn't help but shake his head as he thought about what happened yesterday. From the looks of things, she would be the one who was at fault but was just pushing it on the poor sales girls. Immediately, he became interested in the matter as a smirk appeared at the corner of his mouth.
"How dare you ignore me, you useless waiter?" The woman raged seeing that Alex ignored her.
"You stalked me here, didn't you? You'd better tell me what you want or else I'll call the security guards on you." The woman continued angrily.
"And why would I stalk someone like you." Alex raised his brows as he looked at the woman.
"I have tons of important things to do." Alex continued as he walked towards the sales girl who was still crying.
"How dare you?" The woman flew into a rage at Alex's reply.
"You know, we have quite a bit of feud regarding the wine bottle from yesterday," Alex smirked as he looked at the woman.
"Do you mean to say I was at fault?" The woman frowned.
"Well, I'd say you're at fault, you withdrew your hands just as I was about to give you the bottle which in turn slipped from my hands and fell to the floor," Alex muttered as she spoke slowly.
"Idiot, if you had opened your eyes well, that wouldn't have happened, so how was it my fault." The woman sneered.
"Well then, I wonder if it's the same thing that happened here," Alex muttered with a smile as he bent to look at the necklace that had fallen to the floor.
"Hey, would you mind telling me what happened here?" Alex smiled as he called the attention of the poor sales girl who was crying.
"Huh?" The sales girl froze upon hearing Alex's words. At first, she felt relieved, but seeing the way Alex was dressed, she felt even more depressed as she was sure he wouldn't be able to help her.
But still, she didn't look down on Alex and immediately narrated all that had happened to him.
Alex's mouth curled up into a smile, it turned out that he was right. It was exactly what the woman had done to him the day before she did to the poor sales girls. Because the sales girl's clothes looked old and shabby and her hands looked quite dirty, she immediately withdrew her hands just as she was about to hand over the necklace.
"Now that you've known what happened, what are you going to do?" The woman sneered as she looked at Alex.
"Of course, I'll tell the manager the truth when he comes over later." Alex shrugged as he said plainly.
"Do you think the manager would listen to someone like you?" The woman sneered.
"Besides, do you know the worth of that necklace?"
"No, I don't." Alex shook his head.
"Fool." The woman sneered.
"Since you don't know the worth of that necklace, I'd advise you to back off before you do something that'll cost you your life."
"Would you mind telling me how much that necklace is worth?" Alex ignored the woman and turned to the sales girl who was still crying.
"Sir, the necklace is worth one million dollars." The girl sobbed as she said.
Alex's face changed upon hearing what the sales girl said. Though to him, it wasn't expensive, to the sales girl, she would never be able to earn that amount of money which was why she was in tears.
"Sir, you should leave, you'll only implicate yourself if you try to defend me." The sales girl looked at Alex with sympathy.
She could see that he was genuinely trying to help her. But then he was going to implicate himself if he tried anything which made her very scared.
"Don't worry, I'll wait till the manager comes." Alex shook his head as he said righteously.
"Fool." The woman in front of them sneered.
"What the hell is happening here?" A thundering voice resounded throughout the place as a short man with a potbelly walled into the scene.
The man's face changed immediately he looked at the floor and saw the broken necklace."Would you mind telling me what happened here?" The man growled as he looked at the sales girl who was crying."Sir...sir I...I..." The sales girl shuttered not knowing what to say."Talk!" The man thundered as his face was twisted in anger."I....." The sales girl shuttered as she broke down crying even more profusely."I said talk." The man's eyes burned with rage as he said. The broken necklace on the floor was over a million dollars and now it was broken. Instead of her to explain, all she did was to explain."Don't exert the poor girl, she's probably crying out of guilt, I'll tell you what happened instead." The woman spoke up, catching the attention of the man.The man immediately turned to look at the woman. From the way she was dressed, he could tell that she was from a rich family, and judging from what she said, what happened involved her."You see, your sales girl is careless and let the
"Sir, what do you mean?" Lucas asked, looking confused."Well then, I don't think I'm in the right position to answer that." Alex shook his head."What happened here?" Lucas immediately turned to the manager and asked."Sir, the sales girl was careless and she dropped a necklace worth over a million cashing it to shatter." The manager said as he hurriedly explained."Is that what happened?" Lucas looked at the sales girl and asked. The sales girl who was already shocked with how things had developed was shocked to the bones when Lucas asked her the question. She couldn't believe Alex was this powerful, able to make the owner of the mall appear.Though she couldn't understand why he was dressed in such a manner, she secretly made up her mind not to look down on anyone who was dressed shabbily though she didn't look down on him when she saw him first. The crowd were also whispering to each other as the development of the matter also shocked them greatly and they couldn't help but pity t
Alex raised his head and looked at the security guards who had stopped him. These men were too arrogant, was it because they were the security guards of Nebular Enterprise that gave them the license to act like this?"What's wrong, why did you stop me?" Alex raised his brows as he looked at the men."Trash are not allowed in, so get out before we mess you up." One of the security men sneered.Alex's face became dark hearing what the security men said. Who the hell did they think they were talking to? Was it because he had refused to change his clothes that they felt they would be able to talk to him the way they wanted?"Hey, are you fucking deaf? Didn't you hear what I just said?" The security guard that spoke just now flew into a rage seeing Alex ignore him.Alex shook his head and ignored the men, he could be less bothered about them."How dare you ignore us, it seems like you are asking for a beating." The security man flew into a rage seeing Alex ignore him.Alex raised his head
Alex sat on the chair with his legs crossed as he listened to Albert introducing the executives to him one after the other. He watched them keenly as Albert explained to him who they were. Although he didn't have anything against the executives, he was still on edge around them. The executives were on their toes as they bowed slightly once introduced. Hearing that Alex is the young master earned him the respect and fear of them all. When Albert was done with the introduction, he said to the executives, "You may leave now," they bowed and left the office leaving Alex and Albert in the room."I don't understand why you are introducing them to me. It's not like I will remain here in Orange City. I am sure Grandfather will want me to return," "Actually, Young master," Albert cleared his throat before saying, "Your grandfather wants you to remain in Orange City," A frown formed Alex's face. Why? He thought. Albert also was surprised when his master asked that Alex stay behind in Ora
Alex raised his head and looked at the figure who had just spoken, his mouth twitched slightly as he looked at the man."What did you say I should give you?" Alex raised his brows, fixing his gaze at him."I said give me your car!" The man snorted looking at Alex."My car?" Alex asked with a smile on his face."Yes, your car. If not your car, what the hell do you think I'm asking for?" The man flew into a rage."Well, I might as well think that your brain has a little problem and has ceased to function." Alex chuckled."What the heck didn't you just say?" The man flew into a rage."Fuck off!" Alex cussed as he turned, he didn't have time for this thing as he had a lot to do since he would officially resume working at the office the next day. "How dare you speak to me that way?!?" The man roared behind Alex and this caused Alex to pause. He turned to look at the man wondering what exactly was wrong with him, he seemed to have lost some nuts. "Who are you?" Alex asked calmly as shoved
Putting on dark blue long-sleeves, well-ironed trousers, and an expensive pair of shoes, Alex stepped out of the room making his way to the exit of the hotel. He went straight to the garage before sliding into his car and making his way to Nebular Enterprise. On getting to the company, he was shown where to park his car before he made his way into the company. Unlike the previous day, he decided to pass through the man's door. As he walked, everyone minded their business no one greeted him either as they didn't know who he was. When the president of Nebular Enterprise heard that Alex had gotten to the company, he rushed out to meet the man and cussed inwardly that he wasn't told on time. Right from the gate, he should have waited for the young master. "Good morning, young master. Welcome," he paid his obeisance with a bow."Mr Isaac Nathan?" Alex asked and the man quickly nodded. Even though the man was in his late thirties he still bowed to Alex seeing that he was the young maste
Like the twinkling of the eyes, it was two days already, the day of the banquet. Although Alex had promised to go to the banquet, he was still lazy about it. Still, he prepared for it, dressing in a black sleeve, black trousers, and black shoes. He wore his 24,000-dollar Rolex watch and picked up his car keys before heading to his car. Alex, putting the radio on, nodded his head to the beat of the music as he made his way to the address on the invitation card. He had gotten a few messages from Isaac reminding him that the banquet was today, and still got a call this evening asking if he would still be attending it. He assured the man that he was there. He stepped down from the car before handing the car key over to the Valet who proceeded to help him park his car. Alex fixed his cufflinks properly before making his way to the Edward family villa where the banquet was being held. The cool evening breeze caressed his face and a small smile appeared on his lips. Alex walked majesticall
Alex's gaze remained at the two people till they disappeared into the banquet, he shook his head before walking towards the entrance. Standing by the door were two hefty men who had a stone look on their faces. They were dressed in all black and they stood as bodyguards. "Your invitation card," One of them said to Alex when he was about to walk in, making Alex pause on his track. Alex looked at him and raised his hands indicating that he didn't have an invitation card. He had left the invitation card with Isaac that day after checking out the address and all that he needed. He didn't think there was a need to come with an invitation card since he was a VVIP here. "You can't go in without an invitation card," the other guard replied. "Well, what can I say? I have come mainly to freeload," he smirked. The people around him who were making their way into the banquet couldn't help but pause and look at Alex in disdain. "Just look at him? Isn't he even ashamed to say that out loud fr
Alex got to work immediately after Evelyn left. The three other families, the Parker, the Simon and the Mark’s family are his next target and he needed to study them too. He wasn’t going to need them as much as the other two families but he still needed to study them so he could turn them against the other two. They were quite interesting and different and if Alex hadn’t trusted Isaac well enough, he could have said there was a mistake somewhere. They weren’t as popular as the Adams and Edward family but they were quite powerful and rich. Alex smirked as the read more about them. He then decided to call Isaac and ask if everything in the documents were true.“Isaac?” he said into the phone.“Yes Master Alex?” Isaac replied.“Can I see you in office?” he asked.“Sure Young master” Isaac dropped the call and Alex waited patiently for him.As well as Isaac knew Alex, he would never enter his office without knocking so Alex had expected a knock and he was right. Few minutes later, a knoc
Alex had woken up late that morning, after his late night a day before. His head banged as he woke up. The effect of the alcohol was just starting to kick in. He went into the bathroom and washed his face and head which relieved his headache. As he stared at himself in the bathroom mirror, he noticed the dark circle and eye bags beneath his eyes. He wasn’t a fan of late night so it definitely took a toll on him. He sighed and got ready for work.Spending longer than usual washing the hard smell of alcohol off his body in the bathroom. He finally steeped out, dried his body, applied lotion and walked to the closet to get some clothes. He settled on a blue jeans, white shirt and blue timberland shoes. He did his normal facial routine and left the room. Alex was concerned about his looks and he believed the three years bet had harsh effect on his skin.He went downstairs, immediately to the dining table. He was starving since he didn’t have a good dinner last night. The chef had luckily
The next day at the Adam’s family villa. The head of the Adams family paced around his spacious living room, trying to calm his anger. News just reached him early this morning about the vandalisation of the family company overnight. He was furious as to why the heir of the Edward’s family would do such a thing.“How dare he?! Who does he think he is huh? Just because he is the heir to some useless empire, he thinks he can ruin my business?!” He yelled again, squeezing his fist in anger. His son, the heir to the Adams family was seated and equally angry. He had wanted to ask his father for money this morning when his father yelled at him angrily and called his names, he then got to know the cause of the father’s anger. He has always hated the heir of the Edward’s family, he believes he is too arrogant, proud and useless. They have fought and argued in past times and the matter was settled by both families to avoid scandals. His father had carefully warned him to stay away from the Ed
Back in Northeast, at the villa where Albert and Alex grandfather lives. Alex grandfather had just gotten off the call with Alex. He sighed as he looked out the window.“Don’t worry too much about him. He is fine” Albert said. He was standing behind Jackson, Alex grandfather. Albert and Jackson are very good friends. Every since Alex father hired Albert, he had taken a liking to him and even made him oversee so companies which he did very well. Their relationship has since grown. They have similar interest in almost everything, loves the same movie, the same sport, the same shoes and every suit companies. They were literally twins but Albert would always respect Jackson even though he had complained countless times, stating that they were the same age and he should just see him as a friend but Albert wouldn’t listen.Albert was more than a friend to Jackson, he was his personal adviser, his personal assistance and sometimes his driver. They have built quite a relationship to be envio
As soon as the cold breeze hit Alex face, he closed his eyes and relished in the cool night breeze. He felt so achieved and fulfilled and a wide smile spread across his lips. He sighed and proceeded to walk to his car. The day has been hectic and he had been working all day, he needed rest and he was going to get it. The chef made dishes for him before he returned from work but he was unable to eat it because he was rushing out to the club, he was starving and the alcohol were beginning to hurt his stomach. He was just thinking about grabbing a drive thru when his phone rang.He smiled as he saw the caller. It was Albert. He had missed the old man especially his tired look every time he had to deal with him. He picked the call.“Hey old man!” he said as soon as he picked the call.“Hi Alex. How are you doing?” he asked with his usual politeness.“I’m very well…..never felt so alive. You miss me?” Alex asked, jokingly.“Maybe” Albert replied coldly and Alex chuckled.“There is no other
His friends anger skyrocketed as soon as that statement left my mouth. Some of them murmured and pointed at me in annoyance while some of them approached me even more angry than before.“And who the heck do you think you are to challenge the heir of the Edward family like that? What makes you think he would agree to you lowlife challenge just to drink with you huh?” they agreed, hitting his chest an pushing him. Alex said nothing but a smirk was plastered on his face like he was glad to successfully make them more angry. His expression added to their anger and they were just about to throw him out of the club when a voice was heard.“Stop!” the voice yelled and they froze. All activities in the club seems to listen to his voice as everyone looked at his table for a while before things went back to normal. Alex smiled, his plan worked. The heir stood from where he had been sitting since the whole drama started and walked to Alex, stopping between his friends, he patted each of them on
Alex walked into noisy space just ten minutes past 8pm. He had taken his bath in a rush and immediately headed out to the bar. The bar was filled with different people of high caliber. The atmosphere in the club wasn’t a regular club atmosphere, it oozed wealth and influence. Alex immediately knew the Edward family heir would be around somewhere. The detailed documents he had read earlier made it known that he would always be here every Wednesday from 6pm till whenever he was ready to go home. Alex had waited this long to come here because he wanted him to get tipsy so getting him drunk won’t be a problem. He looked at the club again and chuckled at the number of rich heirs he saw, they all sat in clique with pride and arrogance. Alex knew the lesson learnt from the outcome of the Adams and Edward family would teach them a little dignity and respect. He took a seat by the bar stand and looked around for the young man. A sharp voice immediately got his attention.“Excuse me?” The voice
Alex was glad to finally get the documents. He had always wanted to get to the root of the five families wealth.“Yea. I attended to Jason already” Isaac replied.“But if I may ask, what does he need so much money for?” Isaac asked.“Just to pay for a little something” Alex replied and glanced at the pages of the documents.“Had you carried out my earlier instruction?” Alex asked.“Yes yes. The men are ready anytime you need them and they pledge their loyalty to you” Isaac replied and Alex smiled.“Thank you Isaac. Just wait till I instruct you further. I would let you know when the men are needed” Alex said.“Okay young master. I need to leave now to attend to some other matters. I would be in my office if you need me” Alex nodded and Isaac left the office.Alex turned fully to the documents before him and opened the documents of the Edwards family. The documents provided details information about the Edward family, their early forefathers, the wealth starters, their first company,
It was just few minutes past three pm and the afternoon sun was at its peak. Its golden ray shined into the room through the large glass view behind Alex desk, casting a shadow on the desk and floor. Alex twirled in his chair and Jason question rang in mind.“Why are you doing this? Why are you helping me and what do you want from the Adams family?” Jason had asked before he walked out. Alex was dumbfounded for a while as he thought deeply about his main reason for having this plan. He wanted equality, he wanted freedom and justice. The “five families” has always had their way and they have had they domination for way too long. Alex knew it was the right time someone put them in their place, someone has to check them and their arrogance. He wanted every person in Orange City to be had equally privileged as the five families. Enough of discrimination and humiliation.“Someone has to and why not me? It has been going on for way too long and it has to stop” Alex replied, his voice cold a
