"Young Master, would you like to go to the company with me?" Albert asked as he looked at Alex who was eating in the dining room.
"Nope, I'm not interested in going, I want to head to the mall." Alex shook his head and replied.
"Alright Young Master," Albert nodded and didn't say anything more.
He could care less about what Alex was going to do at the mall, besides he was in no position to ask. Even if he asked, there was nothing he was going to do with the information.
"Alright old man, let's go." Alex sighed and stood up from the dining after some minutes.
"I'll drop you at the mall," Albert said as he stood up and walked out of the villa alongside Alex.
He had come to Orange City to take a look at the companies which were located here. He had been staying at Orange City for the past month and thus decided to buy a villa Instead of living at the hotel which was where he brought Alex to the night before.
That morning, he was considering signing a contract with some of the top companies in Orange City and thus was heading to the company. But since Alex wanted to go to the mall, he was going to drop him off there first.
Besides, he was going to leave Orange City alongside the Young Master to North East which was where the main company of the family was located. The ones in Orange City were small and it would be belittling the Young Master if he asked him to manage. It.
Though the family had their wings spread out throughout the whole of Emberland, their strength was more concentrated in North East. Besides, the competition there was very fierce and he was sure that the Young Master was now mature enough to be able to control the company.
Thinking about all these, Albert shook his head, once he was done with signing the contract, they were going to head back straight away.
"Sir, we are at the mall." The driver's voice came, bringing Albert out of his thoughts.
"Young Master, take this." Albert smiled and gave a black card to Alex.
"Come meet me at Nebular Enterprise when you're done, we'll be heading back to North East once I'm done with the contract."
"Alright, old man." Alex nodded as he came out of the car.
He also didn't want to stay in Orange City. He would have already gone back the night before if it was not for the fact that the old man told him he wanted to sign a contract first before they headed back.
Besides, he was also shocked the night before as he didn't expect the old man to arrive that fast. He had been expecting the old man to send one of his subordinates to Orange City to pick him up.
He didn't expect that the latter was in Orange City. Well then it was none of his business, he was going to resume work once he got to North East.
Pushing all thoughts to the back of his mind, Alex looked at the mall in his front and sighed. Looking at the card Albert had given him, he shook his head and put the black card into his pocket.
Walking into the mall, Alex sighed as he looked around. He wanted to get some clothes, but all the ones he saw were just too expensive. The last three years had changed his mindset greatly and now he preferred to dress in simple clothes, so he was rather confused as to what type of clothes he was going to buy.
In the future, he was just going to let Albert order some clothes for him. It was too troublesome to come to the mall and look for clothes he was going to wear.
After looking around for a while, Alex shook his head and decided to go to meet Albert at Nebular Enterprise. After all, he didn't seem to be able to make a choice.
"Bitch, how dare you try to blame me, you broke the necklace and yet you want to accuse me."
"Ma'am, you can't do this, you know I'm innocent."
"Bitch, you think that'll save you, when your manager comes later, it'll be better to tell him how you broke the necklace."
Voices drifted into Alex's ears just as he was about to walk out of the clothing section. Immediately next to the clothing section was the Jewelry section.
Inside was a teenage girl crying as she looked at a woman while trying to defend herself. On the floor was a piece of a broken necklace. Because the woman's back was facing Alex he didn't see who it was nor did he want to see.
What was happening was none of his business anyway, so he just turned around and intended to leave when a cold snort came.
"Oh, it's you, I didn't know you're a bit of a stalker, how dare you follow me here. What the hell do you want."
Alex froze hearing the voice and he turned around sharply coming in face with the woman whose back had been facing him just now.
Seeing the woman, the frown on his face deepened, this was the woman who had made him break a glass of wine yesterday.
"Why are you all silent now, huh?" The woman snorted coldly, bringing Alex back to his senses.
Alex shook his head and ignored the woman. He could care less about her. At the moment, he couldn't help but shake his head as he thought about what happened yesterday. From the looks of things, she would be the one who was at fault but was just pushing it on the poor sales girls. Immediately, he became interested in the matter as a smirk appeared at the corner of his mouth.
"How dare you ignore me, you useless waiter?" The woman raged seeing that Alex ignored her.
"You stalked me here, didn't you? You'd better tell me what you want or else I'll call the security guards on you." The woman continued angrily.
"And why would I stalk someone like you." Alex raised his brows as he looked at the woman.
"I have tons of important things to do." Alex continued as he walked towards the sales girl who was still crying.
"How dare you?" The woman flew into a rage at Alex's reply.
"You know, we have quite a bit of feud regarding the wine bottle from yesterday," Alex smirked as he looked at the woman.
"Do you mean to say I was at fault?" The woman frowned.
"Well, I'd say you're at fault, you withdrew your hands just as I was about to give you the bottle which in turn slipped from my hands and fell to the floor," Alex muttered as she spoke slowly.
"Idiot, if you had opened your eyes well, that wouldn't have happened, so how was it my fault." The woman sneered.
"Well then, I wonder if it's the same thing that happened here," Alex muttered with a smile as he bent to look at the necklace that had fallen to the floor.
"Hey, would you mind telling me what happened here?" Alex smiled as he called the attention of the poor sales girl who was crying.
"Huh?" The sales girl froze upon hearing Alex's words. At first, she felt relieved, but seeing the way Alex was dressed, she felt even more depressed as she was sure he wouldn't be able to help her.
But still, she didn't look down on Alex and immediately narrated all that had happened to him.
Alex's mouth curled up into a smile, it turned out that he was right. It was exactly what the woman had done to him the day before she did to the poor sales girls. Because the sales girl's clothes looked old and shabby and her hands looked quite dirty, she immediately withdrew her hands just as she was about to hand over the necklace.
"Now that you've known what happened, what are you going to do?" The woman sneered as she looked at Alex.
"Of course, I'll tell the manager the truth when he comes over later." Alex shrugged as he said plainly.
"Do you think the manager would listen to someone like you?" The woman sneered.
"Besides, do you know the worth of that necklace?"
"No, I don't." Alex shook his head.
"Fool." The woman sneered.
"Since you don't know the worth of that necklace, I'd advise you to back off before you do something that'll cost you your life."
"Would you mind telling me how much that necklace is worth?" Alex ignored the woman and turned to the sales girl who was still crying.
"Sir, the necklace is worth one million dollars." The girl sobbed as she said.
Alex's face changed upon hearing what the sales girl said. Though to him, it wasn't expensive, to the sales girl, she would never be able to earn that amount of money which was why she was in tears.
"Sir, you should leave, you'll only implicate yourself if you try to defend me." The sales girl looked at Alex with sympathy.
She could see that he was genuinely trying to help her. But then he was going to implicate himself if he tried anything which made her very scared.
"Don't worry, I'll wait till the manager comes." Alex shook his head as he said righteously.
"Fool." The woman in front of them sneered.
"What the hell is happening here?" A thundering voice resounded throughout the place as a short man with a potbelly walled into the scene.
The man's face changed immediately he looked at the floor and saw the broken necklace."Would you mind telling me what happened here?" The man growled as he looked at the sales girl who was crying."Sir...sir I...I..." The sales girl shuttered not knowing what to say."Talk!" The man thundered as his face was twisted in anger."I....." The sales girl shuttered as she broke down crying even more profusely."I said talk." The man's eyes burned with rage as he said. The broken necklace on the floor was over a million dollars and now it was broken. Instead of her to explain, all she did was to explain."Don't exert the poor girl, she's probably crying out of guilt, I'll tell you what happened instead." The woman spoke up, catching the attention of the man.The man immediately turned to look at the woman. From the way she was dressed, he could tell that she was from a rich family, and judging from what she said, what happened involved her."You see, your sales girl is careless and let the
"Sir, what do you mean?" Lucas asked, looking confused."Well then, I don't think I'm in the right position to answer that." Alex shook his head."What happened here?" Lucas immediately turned to the manager and asked."Sir, the sales girl was careless and she dropped a necklace worth over a million cashing it to shatter." The manager said as he hurriedly explained."Is that what happened?" Lucas looked at the sales girl and asked. The sales girl who was already shocked with how things had developed was shocked to the bones when Lucas asked her the question. She couldn't believe Alex was this powerful, able to make the owner of the mall appear.Though she couldn't understand why he was dressed in such a manner, she secretly made up her mind not to look down on anyone who was dressed shabbily though she didn't look down on him when she saw him first. The crowd were also whispering to each other as the development of the matter also shocked them greatly and they couldn't help but pity t
Alex raised his head and looked at the security guards who had stopped him. These men were too arrogant, was it because they were the security guards of Nebular Enterprise that gave them the license to act like this?"What's wrong, why did you stop me?" Alex raised his brows as he looked at the men."Trash are not allowed in, so get out before we mess you up." One of the security men sneered.Alex's face became dark hearing what the security men said. Who the hell did they think they were talking to? Was it because he had refused to change his clothes that they felt they would be able to talk to him the way they wanted?"Hey, are you fucking deaf? Didn't you hear what I just said?" The security guard that spoke just now flew into a rage seeing Alex ignore him.Alex shook his head and ignored the men, he could be less bothered about them."How dare you ignore us, it seems like you are asking for a beating." The security man flew into a rage seeing Alex ignore him.Alex raised his head
Alex sat on the chair with his legs crossed as he listened to Albert introducing the executives to him one after the other. He watched them keenly as Albert explained to him who they were. Although he didn't have anything against the executives, he was still on edge around them. The executives were on their toes as they bowed slightly once introduced. Hearing that Alex is the young master earned him the respect and fear of them all. When Albert was done with the introduction, he said to the executives, "You may leave now," they bowed and left the office leaving Alex and Albert in the room."I don't understand why you are introducing them to me. It's not like I will remain here in Orange City. I am sure Grandfather will want me to return," "Actually, Young master," Albert cleared his throat before saying, "Your grandfather wants you to remain in Orange City," A frown formed Alex's face. Why? He thought. Albert also was surprised when his master asked that Alex stay behind in Ora
Alex raised his head and looked at the figure who had just spoken, his mouth twitched slightly as he looked at the man."What did you say I should give you?" Alex raised his brows, fixing his gaze at him."I said give me your car!" The man snorted looking at Alex."My car?" Alex asked with a smile on his face."Yes, your car. If not your car, what the hell do you think I'm asking for?" The man flew into a rage."Well, I might as well think that your brain has a little problem and has ceased to function." Alex chuckled."What the heck didn't you just say?" The man flew into a rage."Fuck off!" Alex cussed as he turned, he didn't have time for this thing as he had a lot to do since he would officially resume working at the office the next day. "How dare you speak to me that way?!?" The man roared behind Alex and this caused Alex to pause. He turned to look at the man wondering what exactly was wrong with him, he seemed to have lost some nuts. "Who are you?" Alex asked calmly as shoved
Putting on dark blue long-sleeves, well-ironed trousers, and an expensive pair of shoes, Alex stepped out of the room making his way to the exit of the hotel. He went straight to the garage before sliding into his car and making his way to Nebular Enterprise. On getting to the company, he was shown where to park his car before he made his way into the company. Unlike the previous day, he decided to pass through the man's door. As he walked, everyone minded their business no one greeted him either as they didn't know who he was. When the president of Nebular Enterprise heard that Alex had gotten to the company, he rushed out to meet the man and cussed inwardly that he wasn't told on time. Right from the gate, he should have waited for the young master. "Good morning, young master. Welcome," he paid his obeisance with a bow."Mr Isaac Nathan?" Alex asked and the man quickly nodded. Even though the man was in his late thirties he still bowed to Alex seeing that he was the young maste
Like the twinkling of the eyes, it was two days already, the day of the banquet. Although Alex had promised to go to the banquet, he was still lazy about it. Still, he prepared for it, dressing in a black sleeve, black trousers, and black shoes. He wore his 24,000-dollar Rolex watch and picked up his car keys before heading to his car. Alex, putting the radio on, nodded his head to the beat of the music as he made his way to the address on the invitation card. He had gotten a few messages from Isaac reminding him that the banquet was today, and still got a call this evening asking if he would still be attending it. He assured the man that he was there. He stepped down from the car before handing the car key over to the Valet who proceeded to help him park his car. Alex fixed his cufflinks properly before making his way to the Edward family villa where the banquet was being held. The cool evening breeze caressed his face and a small smile appeared on his lips. Alex walked majesticall
Alex's gaze remained at the two people till they disappeared into the banquet, he shook his head before walking towards the entrance. Standing by the door were two hefty men who had a stone look on their faces. They were dressed in all black and they stood as bodyguards. "Your invitation card," One of them said to Alex when he was about to walk in, making Alex pause on his track. Alex looked at him and raised his hands indicating that he didn't have an invitation card. He had left the invitation card with Isaac that day after checking out the address and all that he needed. He didn't think there was a need to come with an invitation card since he was a VVIP here. "You can't go in without an invitation card," the other guard replied. "Well, what can I say? I have come mainly to freeload," he smirked. The people around him who were making their way into the banquet couldn't help but pause and look at Alex in disdain. "Just look at him? Isn't he even ashamed to say that out loud fr
