Chapter 5

The man's face changed immediately he looked at the floor and saw the broken necklace.

"Would you mind telling me what happened here?" The man growled as he looked at the sales girl who was crying.

"Sir...sir I...I..." The sales girl shuttered not knowing what to say.

"Talk!" The man thundered as his face was twisted in anger.

"I....." The sales girl shuttered as she broke down crying even more profusely.

"I said talk." The man's eyes burned with rage as he said.

The broken necklace on the floor was over a million dollars and now it was broken. Instead of her to explain, all she did was to explain.

"Don't exert the poor girl, she's probably crying out of guilt, I'll tell you what happened instead." The woman spoke up, catching the attention of the man.

The man immediately turned to look at the woman. From the way she was dressed, he could tell that she was from a rich family, and judging from what she said, what happened involved her.

"You see, your sales girl is careless and let the necklace slip from her hands just as she was about to give it to me, and as a result, it broke." The woman smiled as she said.

Immediately, the man's face became twisted as his anger became triple fold.

"Is that true!" He thundered.

"I...." The sales girl shuttered and burst out crying once again.

"You'll explain to the police how you have broken it once you get to the station." The man sneered.

"Security, come and take her away." The man continued.

"But I..." The girl shuttered as she panicked not knowing what to say.

"Shut the hell up, you'll spend the rest of your shitty life in prison." The manager sneered.

Soon, two hefty men walked in, and immediately the crowd that was watching automatically made way for them, and soon they were in front of the sales girl.

"Take her away." The man commanded.

"Is this how you do things here?" Alex who had been watching all this while suddenly spoke up, his voice laced with disdain.

"Huh?" Everyone froze hearing Alex's voice.

They had almost forgotten about his existence as the latter hadn't said a word since the manager arrived.

"And who are you?" The manager frowned hearing Alex's words.

He didn't even bother to be polite to Alex as the latter was dressed shabbily so he immediately looked down on him.

"Who I am is none of your business, all I want to know is that is this how you do your things here?" Alex sneered.

"You didn't investigate the matter and directly want to imprison someone innocent."

"Sir, I'd advise you to stay out of this matter, it's none of your business." The manager sneered.

"It's my business, and I have a say in this. The girl is innocent." Alex said firmly.

"And who's she to you that makes you think she's innocent." The Manager asked impatiently.

"She's my younger sister, you didn't even investigate the matter and directly want to imprison an innocent girl. How rude of you." Alex sneered.

Huh? The sales girl froze hearing what Alex said, she couldn't believe her ears.

"Ohh, I see why you wanted to help her. She's your younger sister." The woman suddenly sneered.

"I'd suppose you both spend some good time together in the prison."

Alex's face changed as he glared at the woman. Well then, he couldn't care less about someone like her and faced the man.

"Young man, I don't care if she's your sister or not. What I know is if you want to save your sister and prevent her from spending all of her bitchy life in prison, then pay for what she broke."

"Would you listen to me if I paid?" Alex furrowed his brows as he looked at the man.

"Why would I listen to you? Who the hell do you think you are?" The manager sneered as he looked at Alex.

"Fine, I want to see the owner of the mall," Alex said condescendingly.

"You want to see the owner of the mall?" The manager sneered as he looked at Alex.

"Yes, I want to see him, is there any problem?" Alex asked.

"Who do you think you are?" The manager sneered.

"Besides, do you think the owner of the mall has the time to come see someone like you? You'd either pay off your sister's debt and fuck off."

"Or you both rot in prison together." The man sneered.

"I'd advise you to call over the owner of the mall on your own accord or should I do it myself?" Alex asked slowly.

"You call over the owner of the mall?" The manager laughed as he looked at Alex.

"I'd eat shit if you can call him over. Besides, who do you think you are." The Manager's voice changed as it became cold.

"Security, take the two of them away." The man ordered.

Alex furrowed his brows as he looked at the two men, next, he punched out.

Immediately, his fist hit the two men, they were sent flying and immediately they hit the wall, cracks appeared on it and they fainted almost immediately.

Huh

The crowd froze seeing this. They couldn't believe that Alex's body, which looked rather skinny, could contain such an amount of power.

"I see, you have some skills which is why you are arrogant." The Manager frowned as he looked at Alex.

Alex ignored the man, brought out his phone and dialed Albert's number.

After about two rings, the call was picked up, and Albert's old voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Young Master,"

"I want to see the owner of the mall you drop me at in five minutes," Alex said coldly.

"Alright Young Master, consider it done," Albert replied.

Alex nodded and immediately ended the call with a satisfied smile on his face and looked at the manager.

"Hehe." The manager laughed coldly as he looked at Alex.

"Do you think I'll get scared just because of a phone call?" He sneered.

"We'll see if you'll get scared later on." Alex shrugged as he looked at the sales girl.

At that moment, the girl was in a daze as she couldn't believe her eyes. Though she didn't know what Alex wanted to do, she couldn't believe he was going to save her.

He had even called her his sister which made her feel touched. Her parents had died leaving her to fend for herself at a very young age. She was working at the mall in the hope of being able to save up and go to college.

For a moment today, she thought she was doomed. Though she didn't know why Alex was trying to save her, she still felt gratified.

Alex frowned as he looked at the manager and the woman. Both of them were looking at him in contempt at the moment.

Well then, it was going to end soon, so he could care less about them. They were nothing but clowns so he didn't bother giving them his attention.

The crowd was also actively discussing as they watched with interest wanting to see what was going to happen.

They couldn't tell if Alex's call was fake or not. Well then, they could be less concerned even if it was, they were not the ones who were going to get implicated.

In a flash, five minutes were gone.

"I see your bluffing didn't lead anywhere," The manager sneered as he looked at Alex.

"Well then, I'd advise you to kowtow to me now, maybe then I would be willing to accept your apology later." Alex's mouth curled up into a smile as he looked around.

"I don't care if you have any foundations in martial arts, you can't fight ten men at once no matter how strong you are." The manager sneered.

"Security." He called.

Immediately, ten hefty men walked out of the crowd and surrounded Alex. Their expression was not friendly as they glared at him.

"Take him away." The man commanded.

"What the hell do you think you are doing?" A yell came just as the men were about to attack Alex.

Next, a man in his sixties was seen rushing through the crowd as he made his way towards Alex.

The Manager froze seeing the man. What the hell was happening? Why was the owner of the mall here?

Could it be that the young man in front of him could make him come over? Quickly he dispelled the thoughts and immediately hurried towards the man.

"Mr. Lucas, why are you here? Everything here is under control." The manager said quickly.

"Under control, my ass." Lucas cursed as he glared at the Manager.

Just now, he was on the verge of signing a collaboration Contract with Nebular Enterprise when Albert suddenly looked at him and told him that the Young Master wanted to see him.

Though he didn't know what was happening, Albert had shown him the picture of a young man and he had immediately rushed over as soon as he could. If it was just Nebular Enterprise, he wouldn't be this scared.

But the fact that the enterprise was under the Reynolds family, the richest family in the whole of Emberland, why wouldn't he be scared? As long as he could sign the contract, his business was going to improve by leaps and bounds.

Yet, he was interrupted, and though he didn't know what happened, he couldn't help but blame the Manager.

"Are you the owner of this mall?" Alex furrowed his brows as he looked at Lucas.

"Yes." Lucas nodded almost immediately.

This was the Young man Albert had shown him, he knew he had to be respectful towards the young man no matter what.

Though he couldn't believe his eyes as the supposed Young Master was dressed rather shabbily, he didn't dare say anything and only looked at Alex with respect.

"That's good." Alex smiled.

Lucas nodded hurriedly as he looked at Alex waiting to hear what the latter wanted to say.

"Now, tell me, does your mall have the habit of not looking carefully into matters before deciding?”
