CHAPTER 41

Peter resumed work in a new car. He had gotten this one over the weekend. A black 2023 BMW x3. He parked in his space, a spit that had once been his father's space. He got out of his car and adjusted his suit. The security man ran towards him and greeted him with a handshake. This week, he has plans to deduct Victor's pay if he doesn't show up.

Salaries will be sent out this morning, just like I instructed the accountant to do. Victor and his father have broken so many rules as regards work, and he wasn't going to let them go Scot-free. No wicked man deserves a second chance. That has always been Peter's motto, even before he met his father, but he has been lenient enough with this so-called family of his.

His father had taught him one thing before his death: family was important, but not when it comes to business; otherwise, you would go bankrupt, and the same family members would troll you for being broke and poor.
