CHAPTER 5

With that settled, Mr Coleman treated his son to a large feast, feeding him to his heart contain.

"This is fine, Mr Coleman. You don't have to pack much meal," Peter had said, seeing how his father kept ordering the servants to add more food for him.

But despite what Peter said, Mr Coleman wouldn't listen.

"Look at how slim you are. It's clear that you haven't been eating properly, son," He said, ordering for desserts to be placed beside Peter.

Joy took over for Peter when he saw the food. Most of the meals served before him were meals he couldn't dare to get for himself outside or at the restaurant where he worked.

This left his heart glowing while eating.

"The life of the rich," He lip-talked, hovering his gaze about.

"If I had realized earlier that you were my son, I would have stopped you from stressing yourself out. Just look at you boy," Mr Coleman said, lifting Peter's arm, like it's weak.

This left a smile across Peter's face. Though it felt embarrassing, it made him happy.

"I was working, that's why," He said, stopping his father from checking him any further.

"Alright then. Just know that you won't be working anymore. From now on, you'll be heading to the company with me," Mr Coleman revealed his plans for Peter.

This thrilled Peter. He has never been to a company before, let alone a billionaire's empire.

This got him feeling nervous.

"You don't have to worry. I'll teach you how the business world works. You're my son after all, " Mr Coleman said, letting out a smile, as he patted Peter to eat on.

Peter nodded, eating his meal.

After eating, he's taken to a big room by the butler, who requests to show Peter around the mansion, instead of Mr Coleman.

"My Master is just so excited to see you after so long. You don't know how long he has yearned to have his child in his hold," The butler shared, standing at Peter's room door.

Peter hummed at the Butler's words. "Yeah, I can see that," He agreed.

"So, how did you find me at the hospital?" Peter asked the butler since he was the one who brought the letter over.

"How did you know I was in the hospital?" He asked once more.

The butler smiles and reveals that he has eyes everywhere just like the wealthy billionaire, Mr Coleman.

"I was told by the authorities that you were checked in, so I came over but couldn't visit you," He revealed.

Again, Peter hummed but thanked the butler for sending the letter to him.

"Maybe I wouldn't have known my father by now if you hadn't taken that step," He said.

"The pleasure is mine, Mr Coleman. You just rest now. The shower is at the corner and that's your dressing room beside it. I'll be leaving." He bowed, exiting the room.

Peter feels pleased. He explored his bedroom, still amused by the surprising news of his identity.

"The heir to a billionaire's wealth. Who would have thought a poor man like me was related to a billionaire?" He chuckled, making his way to the bathroom.

.

Three days after his arrival, Mr Coleman had already begun teaching his son the things of his empire and company.

He made sure Peter understood what must be done as a CEO and boss. He showed him a lot of work and even tested the young man.

Peter also didn't disappoint his father. He did pretty well, amusing his father with his intelligence.

"Very Good, son."

"Thank you, Mr Cole... I mean, thank you, Father," Peter said, pleasing the old man.

As this was taking place, the butler came over to notify Mr Coleman of a visitor's presence in the mansion.

"He would like to see you," The butler said, giving Mr Coleman a sign.

The old man immediately understood his butler. He hummed and said to Peter, who remained seated in his study room, " Carry on without me. I'll be back."

He patted Peter on the shoulder before leaving the study room with his butler.

When they both arrived at the living room...

"Oh, my dear brother," Kennedy, Peter's uncle and Coleman's junior brother, said, acting like one who just ran a race.

Beside him stood the spoilt one himself, Victor. That one had his arms crossed, as he watched his father approach his uncle to give him his news about Peter.

"We searched about for your son, brother. We even got our guards checking, but no clue," Kennedy shared with Coleman.

"Even Victor tried to find his cousin, but he didn't get any luck," Kennedy shared.

"It's true Uncle. We couldn't find your son. I guess you'll just have to accept fate and let things be," Victor said.

Mr Coleman appreciated both his brother and nephew's help, offering them a seat.

"I can see you two have worked yourselves out. Will get you something to cool yourselves down," He said, snapping his finger at a maid.

Kennedy and Victor sat beside Mr Coleman, only for the next scene to leave them both stunned.

"Father, you left your phone in the study room, " Peter said, walking into the living room.

He's stunned to see Victor and his Uncle in the living room, leaving a troubling feeling in his heart mostly for Victor.

Victor as well was stunned to see Peter in the mansion.

"He's here?" He stared.

Kennedy, who also knew who Peter was, pointed at the young man before directing his gaze at his brother.

With pride, Mr Coleman tells both brother and nephew that Peter came to his home himself.

"My heir and future CEO of my empire is with me now," Mr Coleman bragged.

"That is... It's good brother, " Kennedy commented, even though it wasn't from his heart.

He rose to his feet to welcome Peter, hugging the young man.

"Welcome back to the family, nephew," Kennedy said.

"Thanks," Peter uttered while watching his uncle release him from his grip.

"Victor, your uncle found your cousin. Come greet him." Kennedy smiled at Victor, paving the way for both cousins to meet.

Victor stood before Peter with rage in his eyes. Not to look suspicious, he hugged Peter and whispered into his ear, " I should have killed you that day you were with my ex, Kayla."

This left Peter amused by his cousin's threat. He's in a battle with Victor, now that he has come to take what belongs to him.
