Chapter 42: Joseph’s Other Side

A few moments later, a waiter came over to help Heidi pack up the leftover food. It took quite a while to box everything up, and by the time they were done, they had filled over a dozen containers.

Looking at the neatly packed boxes, Heidi couldn’t help but feel a little triumphant.

“All packed up already? I just stepped out to use the restroom.”

Joseph returned, surprised to see the table so efficiently cleared.

“Yep, all done. Hehe, looks like I won’t be going hungry for the next couple of days.”

Heidi replied, clearly pleased with herself.

“Alright, let’s go.”

Joseph picked up a large bag filled with food containers. It was heavy, at least ten boxes inside. Heidi grabbed another bag, which held three or four more.

Together, they left the restaurant.

“Brother-in-law, isn’t there a parking lot nearby? Why did you park so far away? And it’s kind of secluded—there’s barely anyone around.”

Heidi walked beside Joseph, chatting nonstop.
