Chapter 48: An Innocent Kiss

Joseph was confused, unsure of what Alice was planning. She was always full of surprises.

"I won’t open the door unless you turn them off. If you don’t, I’ll stay in here and won’t come out."

Alice’s tone suggested she was pouting, determined to get her way.

Sighing, Joseph pulled out his phone and turned off all the lights.

"They’re off."

In the darkness, Joseph spoke.

Moments later, the door creaked open, and Alice stepped out. In the dim night, Joseph could just make out her shy expression.

"Joseph, I’ve heard that if a man suppresses his desires for too long, it’s bad for his health."

Alice stood before him, her head slightly lowered, her face flushed red as she mustered the courage to speak.

Joseph froze, his mind reeling. What on earth was Alice trying to say?

"Well, medically speaking, it’s true that suppressing a man’s desires for too long isn’t good for his health."

Joseph responded instinctively to Alice's words.
