Jason continued looking at the Doctor together with the trolley until they were almost out of sight. Suddenly, he remembered that he had an appointment, and then he gasped.

“Oh, no! I am late.” He looked at the time on his wristwatch, and then he hurriedly returned back to the car.

He got into the backseat, and then he rested his back on the backseat while James looked at him through the rearview mirror.

“Let’s go, Harry. I am late!”

“Okay, Young Master.” James nodded, and then he turned on the ignition of the car and drove onto the road, increasing the speed of the car with every passing second once he was certain that there was no car coming from behind the car.

Jason adjusted his shirt and made sure that his hair was okay by looking at his reflection in the rearview mirror even though he couldn't get a clear view of himself.

After about twenty minutes, they were able to get to their destination and James parked the car in the parking area in front of the main build

Jason turned around slowly, and then he moved to the seat and sat down slowly with his eyes scouring the entire place. He remained seated and occasionally looked at the secretary who was so busy with her computer that she barely lifted her eyes from the keyboard she was typing with. A few minutes later, the door to the Manager's office opened slowly, causing Jason to lift his head as soon as he heard the sound of the door opening, followed by two male voices.“Great, when I thought today was going to go smoothly,” Jason grunted as soon as he recognized the man who was walking out of the office with the Manager. They had smiles plastered on their faces, but the Manager seemed like he was smiling out of courtesy, while the middle-aged man beside him seemed a bit more excited. “Alright, Mr. Palmer. I have heard everything you have said, and I will definitely give it a thought. But I need you to remember that I don’t make the final shots.” The Manager said to Morgan after they sh

“Oh, no,” Jason whispered to himself as soon as he turned around to see James holding the Resume Harry handed over to him. He didn’t even realize that he had left it in the car. He stared at James who remained still while handing out the documents to him with both hands. It took him a few seconds to get a grip on himself, and as soon as he did, he quickly grabbed the papers from James and winked at him. “Thank you, Sir. I didn’t even realize that I had forgotten these. I am super grateful.” Jason said to James who didn’t understand what was going on, especially with the fact that Jason winked at him. That was strange. Jason was hopeful that no one really heard when James referred to him as Young Master, but it was already late. Morgan was forced to stop at once, and then he turned around to look at James who turned to look at him slowly just before he forcefully looked away. “This face, it looks really familiar. I think I have seen you somewhere.” Morgan said, but James kept

Jason followed the Manager almost immediately into the office, and shut the door behind him, with the Resume still tightly gripped in his right hand. “Please, have a seat.” The Manager pointed to one of the seats in front of his deal, while he sat down on his seat behind the desk.“Thank you, Sir.” Jason proceeded to sit down on the seat on the right. “Please, call me Mr. Coleman. Or maybe you can call me Declan. All of that Sir makes me feel like I am a stranger to the people I am working with, and if we are going to be working together, I would really want us to start off on a smooth ground.” Jason looked at the nameplate, and he was able to confirm that the name of the Manager was really Declan Coleman. “Mr. Caruso? Are you there?” “Yes, yes, Sir,” Jason said at once, taking his eyes off the nameplate, and lifting his face to look at the Manager who nodded in satisfaction. “Yes. So, as I was saying. Please, call me Mr. Coleman, or Declan. Any of them would be fine.”

And I hope that you find whatever it is that you are looking for.” Declan said, and then he withdrew his hand from the handshake and adjusted his jacket almost immediately. “However…” He continued and leaned forward to take a look at the documents in front of him on the table, while Jason wondered what he was about to say. “I don’t think I would want you to work here as a Janitor for so long. I think I might have a position where you can be more useful. Since you really want to work here with us, I will speak to the Human Resources Manager, I am sure she will look for something more lucrative for you to do. How is that?” Jason looked at Declan who had a smile on his face, while he waited eagerly to hear what Jason was going to say. “That would be really nice, Mr. Co

“Alright, Xena. What do you want?” Declan asked after a few seconds of struggling to keep a good composure. The Assistant Manager was about to speak when she remembered that Jason was there with them, and she turned to look at him with the same disdain in her eyes. “What is it, Xena? I am sure that if this has something to do with the company, Mr. Caruso here can hear it as well. He is now a part of this company.” “Him?” Xena pointed at Jason who remained calm. “Yes, him. Who knows? Maybe he can be able to offer his own initiative to whatever we are about to discuss. He seems to be a very intelligent young man.” “There is no way I am going to say anything to this man here with us, I am sure he probably works in the junior department. What’s his job description?” Xena stared at Declan for a few seconds, but he said nothing in response to his question. “Mr. Declan?” “Yes, Xena?”“What’s his job description? What did you hire him for?”“That doesn’t matter, what matters

As so as Xena blurted out those without any form of remorse, Jason coughed impulsively, and as soon as he realized that the other two people in the room had turned to look at him, he looked down almost immediately and cleared his throat as though something had really gotten into his throat. “Are you alright, Mr. Caruso?”“Yes, I am fine. I am fine, Sir. Thank you.” Jason responded to the Manager who looked a bit concerned about the way he coughed and cleared his throat. “Are you sure? You sounded like you needed some water. I could get you some if you want.” “No, you don’t need to bother about that, Mr. Coleman. I am totally fine.” Jason insisted with a smile after he managed to turn to look at the Manager. “Very well, if you insist,” Declan said, and then he turned to look at Xena who couldn’t hide the displeasure she had for Jason who interrupted their conversation. “Can we go back to the reason why we are here, Mr. Declan? “And what could that be?” Scarlet asked with so much curiosity written all over her face. Jason looked at the jumpsuit in his hands for a few seconds before he turned to look at the Supervisor who was eagerly waiting to hear what he was going to say. Jason took in a deep breath which he let out slowly before he made his request with a calm voice. “Can you assign me to the office of the Assistant Manager?” Scarlet was taken aback by the request Jason made. No one had made such a request. All the Janitors even dreaded working for her due to her cold demeanor. “You mean Miss Xena Hunt?” Scarlet asked just to be sure that Jason was not mistaken, and when he nodded to affirm his words, she scoffed in shock. “Are you really sure about this?”“Absolutely.” Jason nodded in affirmation, and with a confident smile on his face. Scarlet stared at him curiously for a few seconds, but he maintained a confident smile that made her even more confused. “I am surprised, really surprise

He looked at the desk very close to the office, and she couldn’t see the Receptionist. It was as if no one had sat at the desk for months. “Where is her receptionist? Isn’t she supposed to be on duty?” Jason asked, but Scarlet scoffed at his words, and then she chuckled softly, while Jason wondered why she was amused. “I am sorry, but you are quite funny. For a few seconds, Jason remained silent, but it didn’t seem like that was going to solve anything. The old man was still waiting to get a response from him, and Harry was interested to know the outcome of their meeting as well. Adjusting himself to get a more comfortable posture, Jason cleared his throat and sighed before he spoke with a voice that almost sounded like a whisper. “He has a son.” He said calmly, but his words were too heavy for the other men in the room to remain as calm as he was. Lord Walker knew Jason to be a man who didn’t joke with such things but for a second, he remained calm, hoping that he was going to say he was joking. Maybe he meant to say something else. “A son?” “Yes, Grandpa. While everyone sat comfortably, eating and drinking everything that had been set on the table, Jason picked up the glass of wine in front of him, and after looking at his Grandfather and getting the signal from him, he nodded before lifting the glass. “I have a special announcement!” He hit his fork on the brim of the glass, drawing the attention of everyone seated at the table who instantly put a hold t what they were doing, and paid keen attention to him. Everyone seemed curious to know what he was about to say except the old man who was already done eating his veggies and wiped his lips with a napkin while he maintaining a grin on his face. “First of all, I want to thank Harry for bringing his lovely family to dinner. For a few seconds Jason was silent while he exchanged glances with the couple, not sure of who he was to face. It was obvious that they were expecting to hear him speak, but the silence in the room was killing them, having more effect on Lucas who couldn’t forget the words he said to him. He was afraid that the day of reckoning had come, and it was time to pay for all his crimes. Still unable to stop himself from finger mg, especially at the sight of Ramon who gave him threatening looks, Lucas decided to grab his bottle, hoping to get back some of his composure from a gulp. “What’s that?” Jason’s calm words stopped Lucas from grabbing the bottle from the ground, causing him to remain still while he lifted his face slowly to look at him, patches of guilt all over his face. “I can’t believe this.” Jason scoffs. “You really want to drink right now. Everyone remained silent amidst the tension that surrounded the air. While Lucas kept his eyes on Jason who remained still with a smirk on his face, he struggled with the contemplation of either remaining where he was standing, or moving backward. For a second, he took two steps backward, but because it felt as though his body no longer belonged to him, he couldn’t move afterward. “Hello… Dad. I see you haven’t left your old habits.” Jason pointed at the bottle of whiskey which Lucas tightly held onto even in the midst of the cringe that engulfed him. “It’s you.” Lucas’ voice was shaky. And while he held onto the half-empty bottle, he gently lifted it up to look at it, filled with thoughts of his numerous drinking adventures. It was true that he was intoxicated at that moment, but the sight of Jason and his companions made the effects of the whiskey wear off at once, leaving him to struggle with the situation. “I am just going to let myself in. “You know you don’t have to come with me, right? It’s not like he is going to beat me just like he did several years ago.” Jason said to Brenda who was helping him out with his jacket. The news on the internet was getting a lot of attention from even different countries, and knowing that it wasn’t going to die down if he didn’t do anything about it, Jason decided to pay his foster parents a visit that night, discarding his initial plans to go see them the next day. “You are not going to be able to talk me out of this, Jay. I suggest you quit your attempts and allow me to come with you. Trust me, you are going to need me to support you, and I will always be by your side, Jay. Why?”“Nothing, love. I just wasn’t expecting that you would call me to come pick you up this early. It’s only been a few hours.” Jason looked at his Hublot wristwatch to ascertain that it wasn’t close to closing time yet. “Yeah…” Brenda grunted slowly, and after letting out the air she inhaled, she continued with a low tone. “I have just been feeling very tired lately, Jay. Even the patients I attended to noticed the difference. I think I will just rest today, probably by tomorrow I should be fine.” “Are you sure? Maybe we should go on a vacation or something.
