Three days to go

With his mind still unrest, Jason paced around the living room from one corner to the other. He had just gotten off the phone with James who assured him that everything was going well in the hospital, but he still wasn’t comfortable with the fact that Brenda had gone to work after everything he told her.

Later on, Tricia joined him in the living room, and it was as if she was looking for another opportunity to get closer to him.

“Mr. Walker? You seem disturbed. Do you care to share what the problem could be?” She said as she catwalked toward him, making sure that he noticed her with the sound of her heels clanking on the marble tiles.

“I am fine, Tricia. It’s nothing.” Jason looked away from him at once, avoiding eye contact no matter how hard she tried to get him to look at her.

“It doesn’t look like it’s nothing, Mr. Walker. Just know that you can talk to me, whatever it is I am here for you. Is my friend stressing you? I wouldn’t be shocked if that was the case. Brenda does
