Chapter 16 - Getting Married?!

Marisa rasied her head up and looked at Ryder. She was wondering how he was going to introduce her.

Richardswallowed. He could only pretend to be non chalent. "We already broke up. What's the big deal?" He asked.

Raymond instantly turned to Claudia "Do you see this Claudia? This person doesn't really love you at all! He's just using you! Relationships are no big deal for him!" Raymond said. He was really indignant. How can she choose someone like this good for nothing Richardover him? It just did not make any sense at all!

"I don't care. I told you. I don't have any requirements of my boyfriend. He just has to be breathtakingly handsome!" Claudia said with an air of superiority.

"Claudia...do you ..do you even know what you are talking about!!" Raymond asked. He has never met a woman like Claudia in his life before. He felt that he had just spent five years of his life trying to communicate with her!

"You are right. I don't know. But you are not in a position to worry about me either. Let's not worry about each other and just go on our own way" She said.

Claudia turned to walk away since she did not want to continue talking with these blockheads. As she passed, she glaced at Marisa. She could tell that the woman was looking at her with so much malice. She sighed in her heart. Did she really have to get involved with an idoit like Ryder?

What Claudia did not expect after she walked away was that Richardwould come after her. They were close to the entrance of the hall where the event was taking place.

Although no one had noticed them since everyone was busy socializing, Claudia knew that it was only a matter of time before someone saw her.

"What do you want?" Claudia snapped at him.

Richardgrinned. Because of the situation with Marisa, he has almost forgotten that he came here because of Claudia. How could he forgotten something that was so important?

"What do you think I want?" He asked her.

"Let's not play these games with each other seriously. I don't want to and I'm sure that you don't want to either" Claudia said. She was already tired enough. It was bad enough that she had to deal with two idoits at once. Now she just wanted this damn event to be over so that she could go home and rest.

"How are you sure that I don't want to play? I really enjoy playing around with you like this" Richardsaid. For some reason, seeing that angry look on her face whenever he messed around with her really put him in a good mood.

Claudia decided that it was useless to talk to someone like this. She turned to walk away but he grabbed her hand and pulled her back.

"Hey, what do you think that you are doing right now?!" Claudia asked. He is even taking advantage of her now? He really is something isn't he?!

Richardpulled her with much strength because he did not want her to talk away and so her face was so close to his. They could feel each other's breath on their faces.

Richardnoted that she smelled really nice. It was different from perfume. He had been with all kinds of women and he knew that the smell on her right now wasn't perfume. He just could not figure out what it was. .

For some reason, it was strangely intoxicating

He did not want to pull away.

"You....what are you doing?" Claudia asked. She tried to pull away from him but he held her hand in place. There was no way that she could leave.

"You...." Before Claudia could say anything else, she heard people talking behind her.

"Look...look over there.. isn't that Claudia?"

"It seems like her...."

"Who is that with her?"

"I think it's Ryder"

"Wow..so the rumours are true?"

Claudia knew now that the situation was starting to get dangerous. She tried to remove her hand from his but he held her tight and refused to let go. He seemed like he was pretend.

Claudia suddenly thought of something....

"This...this....person...."

Soon enough, in a matter of seconds, Claudia and Richardhad already been surrounded by reporters calling out all kinds of questions.

"What is this Claudia?"

"Are you admitting to the rumours?"

"Are the both of you really dating?"

"Did Richardcome here today to support you?"

"..."

Claudia thought that these people were really going to make it big as writers. They really knew how to come up with different annoying stories! Seriously, why would she have anything to do with this man?

"We are not..." Before Claudia could say anything else, Richardpulled her even closer so he had her wrapped around his hand.

"What are you doing?" Claudia whispered to him. He only gave her a devilish smile.

Claudia finally caught on.

"You are doing this on purpose right?" She asked him.

Ryder's smile only grew even wider.

Claudia felt like she was going to get an headache dealing with this. How did she get involved with this? Claudia immediately thought of something. He wants to mess with her and put her in a tight spot right? Then it was fine. Two people could completely play that game. She would make it so that he wanted to give up halfway! What does he take her for?

Claudia leaned in even closer to him and hugged his waist. Richardwas shocked. He wasn't expecting this woman to do something like this. What is the meaning of this? What is she planning now?

"I really did not want to say anything since I want to keep my private life seperate from my work but since it's already like this .. I guess that we have to come out with the truth" Claudia said.

Richardcould no longer keep the smile that was on his face. What is this woman planning? What does she want to do now? He could never trust her at all!

"You ..." Before he could ask anything, Claudia had already resumed talking to the reporters.

"That's right. Richardand I ..we are couple. We met since I work for him. You can say it's a relationship between a boss and an employee. Gezz...I've starred in so much dramas like this but I never thought that this would happen to me" Claudia said. She bowed her head, revealing a faint blush on her face, making it seem as if she was forced to do this. She didn't want to, but she was cornered and she did not have a choice.

Richard"....!" What the hell?! How can someone lie so smoothly? A relationship between a boss and a couple?!

His plan had been to put in a difficult situation using the rumours going around about them...who knew...that she was going to go all out like this?! Doesn't she care about her reputation at all?!

Richardwasn't prepared for what Claudia said next. Maybe if he has known that she was going to take it so far, he would never have tried to mess with her in the first place.

"Richardand I ..we will be getting married!" Claudia said.

The reporters were stunned. It took them some seconds to process what they had just heard.

"Is this true?!"

"Are you really getting married Claudia?!"

"You've always kept your relationships a secret and when you decide to come out it's such an explosive news!".

Claudia smiled revealing a bashful look. "it's no big deal...I just want to share my happiness with everyone? Isn't that right, hubby?" Claudia asked nudging Ryder.

Richardwas brought back to the human world when Claudia nudged him. He was already gone when she said that they were getting married. Why?! Why on Earth did he decide to do something like this? He should have just listened to Matt and stayed away from trouble! What is he going to do from now on? How is he going to deal with this?!

And happiness? What happiness? Claudia must be crazy?!

Claudia glanced over that the man standing beside her. It was obvious that what she just said was a big blow to him but she could not care any less. Anyway he should have thought about it before he decided to mess with her. Did he think that she was just going to let him off? She was going to mess with him until he did not want to live anymore!

Claudia was not thinking about anything else right now. She was just thinking about how she wanted to get revenge on this person.

The reporters seeing that Richardwas quiet immediately turned thier questions

"Richardis this true? Are you going to marry Claudia?"

"Is this true? Why are you so quiet?"

"He's just suprised that I annouced this he did not want to because he thought that it was going to affect my career but we are so in love. I don't want to hide my love" Claudia said. She was glowing as she said that.

Richardfelt that she was immensely talented. He no longer doubted the award that she got. She really is a wonderful actress.

Claudia nudged Richardagain. "Isn't that right hubby?" She asked with a sweet smile plastered on her face.

Richardreally wanted to cry. He looked at the woman smiling sweetly in his arms. Then he saw the faces of the expectant reporters.

It seemed that there wasn't a way that he was going to get out of this today. Be was fine for.

"Yes.... that's through....I didn't want to affect her career" Richardcould only say this through clenched teeth.

"Wow that is so sweet..."

"Richardand Claudia are really in love.."

"After seeing this I suddenly believe in love again.."

"Wishing you a happy married life"

A happy married life?! Richardthought that he was going to cough up some blood if these people did not stop. Richardthought that he was definitely going to die of anger if he ever married Claudia!

Wait, why is he even thinking about it right now?!

Suddenly, two people pushed out of the crowd. Richardand Claudia recognized them at once. It was Rose and Matt.

Claudia glared at Rose. Where the hell has she been?! This is all because of her! If she had not left her alone and run off on her own then she would not be in a such a situation. What kind of manager leaves thier artists alone at all times?

Rose saw Claudia's blaming look and she felt indignant. What is this? She is the one who wanted to leave on her own! Anyway, is there really a way that she can control big shot Claudia? Look at the mess that she created! Anyway, she could never say this out, she could only put up with it like this even though she wasn't willing.

Matt really wanted to cry when he saw Ryder. He isn't even a celebrity but he causes more trouble that the celebrities that they manage. Did he really have to do something like this?

He should have known that he was going to do something like this the second he said that he was coming to this party.

With the help of Matt and Rose with some bodyguards on standby, Claudia and Richardwere able to break free from the crowd.
