Greg sat on the couch as he stared blankly at the divorce papers in his left hand. He hadn’t slept the whole night.

Just when he finally decided to give in and stop battling with his father and accept his offer for Georgia’s sake … just when he finally decided to reveal his true identity to Georgia and take her back to his home and give her the glory she wanted …

… she asked for a divorce!

His mind started wandering to the conversation he had with his father-in-law a few hours ago.

"Can't you see how Georgia is always silent and lowers her head at every party?"

Of course, he was aware of it. In fact, he did it on purpose at the beginning to test her because he didn't know her then! But that wasn’t his purpose in the long run.

Greg and Georgia's marriage was arranged by Grandpa Millen, Georgia's grandfather, who accidentally encountered him a few years ago when he had just left Von Ritcher’s mansion because of his stupid step brother.

The old man happened to know that he was the second heir of Von Ritcher, the most famous and powerful family in the whole country, because he was friends with Greg’s grandfather.

When they were young, Grandpa Millen and his grandfather dreamed of getting their children married, which never happened because they both had sons.

That’s why, when Grandpa Millen found him, his old desires started to surface again and offered Greg to marry his granddaughter which of course was refused by Greg.

“At first, I rejected her since I didn’t know her … Who knows that I will fall for her beauty and her kind attitude toward Grandpa Millen?” thought Greg when he remembered how she willingly took good care of her grandfather while others fled.

Then, he remembered her angry face when she knew that Grandpa Millen set her with him… and all the humiliation the two of them underwent from then on.

DING!

Greg’s thought was interrupted when a voice message came in.

The sender was Georgia!

But after listening to it …

"Ah…Ah…AH!!! Yes, there, Victor... Please…AH!"

Greg froze to the point.

That moan— … was Georgia's?

And… she was moaning about her ex-boyfriend's name! Did someone try to frame her?

The voicemail continued to play for 2 minutes, and when it stopped, Greg started to wake up from his shock and laugh at it.

"There's no way, it's Georgia's!" Greg shaked his head in denial, he didn’t believe what he had heard, someone must have hacked her phone, but his belief didn't last long because suddenly, the "hacker" sent a lot of photos.

They were Georgia's naked photos.

There was even a photo of Georgia sleeping with Victor beside her!

"What the…" Greg stared in disbelief before another message appeared under the pictures and said:

"Like what you see, loser?"

PRANG!!!

Greg immediately threw his phone away as soon as he saw the last message. His already cracked phone became more cracker but Greg didn't care.

The man was too outraged to think about it!

Georgia, the love of his life just dared to cheat behind him? Their marriage hasn't even reached 2 years yet!

Oh, and guess with whom she's having an affair with It was none other than Victor Hills, her ex-boyfriend, whose family wealth ranks 10th behind his!

"So, she just gives in to him easily because he's rich? Tsk, I guess the apple really fell not far from the tree, then. She was not different from her family! I’m glad I haven’t revealed my identity yet to her, I wonder what she would do if I told her about it!

She probably just gives her vagina freely every day," Greg mused as he laughed at his thought. A betrayed expression was clear on his face.

"Well, now I know that my love is just nothing for her. Okay, then, I’ll grant her wish. I will sign this damn divorce paper! I don’t need a gold digger by my side anyway."

After he finished signing the divorce papers, suddenly his cracked phone was ringing loudly, and when Greg saw the call, it was from his father.

"Tsk, why did he suddenly call me too? Doesn’t he vow to not want to talk to me anymore after I left that house? Why not use Dylan like usual?" Grumbled Greg, but he picked up the call in the end.

There was a long silence between them until Greg chose to break it

"What do you want?" He asked briefly, and after that, there was a coughing voice on the other line saying,

"Gregory," Mr.Von Ritcher called. Although his father's voice is a bit older than what he remembers, it still has a mature and manly sound in it."Come back... we need you."

Greg just smiled bitterly.

"What would I get in return, then?" Ask Greg bluntly, clutching his phone, he knew very well why his father called, and as he knew how heartless his father could be at times, asking for benefit was more suitable than randomly chatting.

"Greg, I know nothing I say will make the scars that I gave you disappear too soon," Mr. Von Ritcher sighed heavily.. There was another long silence from Greg’s end.

“Well, how about this? You come back and I announce you as the only heir to take over the family business. Deal?"

Deal? Why not? He was his father’s real legitimate son after all! Griffin was just a bastard of a mistress who married his father after his mother died in an accident.

Was it not for Griffin and that mistress, he wouldn’t have undergone so much injustice. And were it not for those painful past experiences, he wouldn’t have thought to start his own business at an early age of 13.

He now had several companies controlled by his men, unknown to his father, and especially unknown to his stepmother and stepbrother. They would have chewed him alive otherwise.

But now, with his stepbrother out of the way, and with his father’s words of making him the sole heir, it’s a different story.

“Deal!”

Greg had no intention to refuse now.

Greg wasn’t shocked when he saw Victor, as the latter was a rich guy who could afford coming here. However, he felt disgusted. He wondered why he would see shits like Victor again and again in such a short time. He didn’t want to waste his time on unimportant people, so he just walked away from him. But it seems Victor didn’t want to give up because now he’s started to block his way, leaving Greg with no choice but to respond to him. “What do you want?” asked Greg lazily. Seeing that, Victor just laughed contemptuously at him. “What do I want? Of course, I want to know what a rat like you do in this luxury shop!” replied Victor, pushing him. Greg, who was treated like that, just kept silent without intending to retaliate. He knew that Victor was purposely doing that to stir up his emotions, and Greg wasn’t going to get triggered by it. “What am I doing? Of course, I’m here to shop! Unlike you, who just came to the shop to mock me without buying anything,” Greg replied casually

Just take all Louis Vuitton’s clothes and pack it for him! Let’s see how he can pay for those clothes! I bet he used thousands of leaves as a payment!" "You can barely afford it. But why bother buying everything? Oh, I'm so glad that I chose to divorce you. Not only that you're poor in money, but you're also poor in mind! Even George can think better than you!" After saying that out loud, Greg immediately threw Victor's body roughly, making him stagger. He gives him a ferocious glare before leaving the store. Greg frowned when he heard the slap. "Did someone got in a fight in here?" Greg thought, before deciding to continue his way to the counter. It's already bad enough for him to run into Victor and Georgia here. He doesn't want to ruin his day by getting involve to another problem. Today Greg doesn't want to do anything, except having fun as a newly divorced man at the mall. But once again, the sound of loud slap was heard again, and this time it was even more louder than before. Feeling curious, Greg finally decided to walk towards the source of the action. When he arrived, several people had already gathered to witness the commotion which was from a fat man in his mid-30s. Judging from the way he speaks, Greg could tell that this person is nothing more but a cocky man who's just acting high because his small company is rising. As for the other person, she’s just… a middle-aged woman?! PLAK! "Hey, you, old hags! Why did you just stand there?? Don't you realize what you've done

That poor woman is not even his relative! Everyone was sure that there was no way Greg would win this debate. Not if his opponent is someone powerful like Baronica. Even the middle-aged woman realized about that fact too!She thinks that it would be better if Greg just withdrew from the fight and let her get beaten instead. After all, it's better than sacrificing himself for a poor, unlucky lady like her."Pfft!! HAH! So you want to pay for all of this, huh?! Okay, fine, prove it to me, transfer every penny all at once in an instant! And as for the deal..." Baronica smiled mockingly as he looked at Greg from up to down. "I'll accept it, but only on one condition! You must transfer everything right now and right here! And if you fail...You will be the one who kneels in front of me, and not only that!

After observing for a while, Greg finally remembered her. That shabby lady is his savior!Back when Greg was first kicked out of the house, he was very young and naive. He was so naive that he didn't expect that an old man who asked for his help on the street was a mugger, which left him with no money or a phone to get back to his apartment. In the midst of his confusion, the lady suddenly showed up!After hearing Greg's story, the lady, without thinking twice, immediately gave him the money. Not only that, she even called a taxi for Greg, which touched him deeply until now."No wonder she looks familiar... That incident was a long time ago. Come to think of it, I haven't had the chance to ask about her name either," Greg mused before a loud scream interrupted his abrupt thought. It was from that shabby lady!"MOM??? What happened to you?? Please don't scare me! Anyone, please help her!!!" Hearing that, Greg instinctively rushed over to them. When he already arrive, the middle-aged wo

The room buzzed with whispered conversations as the executives engaged in hushed discussions. There was a certain nostalgia in the air, a reminder that many of them had started their careers in this old abandoned lab when they were young scholars. Some of the executives were reminiscing about the past, discussing their memories of working in this very building."Everyone must be feeling nostalgic, considering it's been a long time since they set foot in here," Greg mused as he observed thei

It'll definitely elevate their income."Greg followed Karel into the room, placing Karel's other belongings beside his own. "Well, yeah, I agree with you. Bluebell should try to advertise this place more" Greg replied, keeping his tone casual. 'Tsk, how come he and Dylan had the same thought?' Greg mused.Karel continued his assessment of the room. "And also, I think they need to fix the connection too. You know, even though this is an inn based in nature, this world is already modern, so Wi-Fi and a good connection have become primary needs, just like food and drink."“Yeah, I agree with you,” Greg briefly said.As they settled into the ro

But don’t worry, even though you'll be sleeping on an extra bed, we will give you a free breakfast as our apology for any discomfort you might experience—”As the receptionist talked about the inn's apologetic service, Karel, on the other hand, fell silent as he contemplated this option. "I know that exposing the lab and Bradley's activities will tarnish the company's reputation, but seriously, destroying Behav... Should we really just stay silent and let them do it?"***The tension in the room was palpable as Greg and Dylan exchanged thoughts about the executives' plan to expose Behav. Greg's brow furrowed as he considered Dylan's words, the weight of their conversation sinking in before saying, "Well, yeah. I guess so...?" Greg said, raising an eyebrow. "I mean...Why should we stop them? Just like what you said, by exposing the company, it will automatically tarnish its reputation. So what's the difference with letting the executives do that instead? Won't it be good since it didn't dirty our hands?"Greg asked, and Dylan nodded thoughtfully as he acknowledged the validity of Greg's points."Well, you're not wrong about that," Dylan admitted before continuing, "However, our purpose is different from theirs Greg. Our purpose in revealing Behav's illicit activities
