13. That's bad

Both men were shocked to see each other, who would have thought he'd see the man he met at the bar yesterday in Axel City?

Before Wades could attempt to shake hands with Oscar, the bodyguard blocked him,

"Don't worry," Oscar assured the guard before they let Wades.

Wades on the other hand could not believe his eyes, it made no sense that the man who he had seen, and looked incapable of paying for his drinks, was now in front of him surrounded by guards.

"I didn't expect to see you here," Oscar said with a smile.

"Neither did I," Wades retorted,

"As soon as I left you yesterday, I got into the car and came to Axel City straight up. Do... do you work here?" He asked, and for a moment, Oscar was short of words, he didn't want to explain anything to anyone especially not at the moment.

"I uhm... just came for a meeting, I was invited," He replied.

"Are you sure? You certainly look like you own this place, if not that you had called my name, I would have sworn that you weren't the same man I met at the bar, maybe a look alike."

"Haha," Oscar laughed while thinking of the best way to stop their conversation from going any further.

"Well, I must get going," He said,

"We'll speak later when in not in a hurry, you work here, right?" He asked and with a nod, Wades replied,

"I do."

"I am one of the many analysts at the Slytherin Empire. I hope to see you another time sir, I am on my way to deliver a report at the other side " He concluded and began to walk away as he saw that Oscar was in a haste to get to the meeting.

"Alright, goodbye Wades," Oscar heaved a sigh of relief, this was the most unexpected occurrence, and he couldn't help but feel that there was more on the way.

Still with the bodyguards, he walked into the reception, a larger waiting area with enough space to host nearly two hundred people.

Just as he had anticipated, Oscar was impressed by the interior design. The company went all out with the shelves, expensive chairs in the waiting area, and beautiful flower pots with real exotic flowers.

With fancy mirrors, and exquisite chandeliers, this had to be one of the most beautiful receptions that he had ever seen.

"Excuse me?" The receptionist, a young fair lady with red hair, called out to him after he walked in.

Oscar approached her immediately keeping a composed demeanour as he said,

"Good day."

"Good day, to you too, sir, do you have an appointment, sir?" He asked, and before Oscsr could say a word, the bodyguard that stood by his left took out a card from his inner suit pocket and placed it on the table in front of the receptionist.

She looked at the card and typed down some things on her computer.

"I'm afraid there is no scheduled appointment for Mr Oscar Fred Slythe... rin?" She paused as she realized that the last name, sounded familiar.

"I'm sorry, sir, but permit me to ask... are you related to the Slytherin family?" She asked, there were only a few people she knew with that last name, aside from Aston and Amy, there was Aston's younger brother, Aiden, and aside from his wife and daughter Nate, no one else bore that last name.

"Uhm... I'd rather not say, can I go now?" Oscar replied he knew how much power he had over the receptionist and tried not to abuse it, but he had to do what he had to do.

"Do you want to see someone? I could direct you," she offered, having seen that he was Slytherin, regardless of who he's from, she knew to avoid getting on their bad side.

"Don't worry, they'll lead the way," Oscar replied and gave her a smile to ease the tension that he saw on her face.

Just as he had said that, the guard looked at the receptionist and said,

"Conference room 17."

"It's on the fifth floor, second door to the left,", she directed them and the guard nodded his head.

"This way sir," He said to Oscar, and the young man followed from behind. As they left, the receptionist stood there scrolling through the list of executives in the company, and the name Oscar Slytherin did not show up on the list.

This caused her to worry a bit, because there have been cases where people come into a company, posing as a high executive, only for the company to later discover that they are imposters, or spies from another company.

She did not want to take any chances and quickly checked again to ensure that Oscar Slytherin didn't show up, before calling security.

"Hello," she said,

"There's a man headed for conference room 17 on the seventh floor, his identity is rather suspicious. He claims to be a Slytherin, please stop him."

As soon as she dropped the call, the receptionist ran toward the elevator, she wanted to be present as the imposter got caught red-handed.

Just as they left, Leo came into the reception, he looked around for the receptionist but she was nowhere to be found.

"Where the hell has she gone to?" He wondered,

"She probably followed Oscar, which means she must have seen the message I sent to her yesterday." He mumbled and checked his phone to confirm that she had seen the message.

"Wait, she did not open the message? Oh God, I hope she doesn't bother Mr Oscar." He uttered with a worried expression as he quickly headed for the elevator.

*ring

His phone buzzed as he walked into the elevator, and it was none other than Oscar,

"Hello sir, is everything okay?" He asked with a worried expression,

"What!" He exclaimed,

" I'm very sorry sir, I'll be there in a few seconds." He said and quickly pushed the seventh button.

"This is bad."
