“You wanted to talk?” Amy asked him as she walked into his room. She met Oscar staring out the window and he turned around as soon as he heard her voice.

“Yeah,” He replied and ushered her to sit at the table positioned near the window where Oscar most often took his tea or did his paper jobs.

Amy sat down, placed both hands on the table, and watched Oscar draw the curtain, making the room brighter than it was when she first came in.

“What's the matter?” She asked him.

“Did Aston Slytherin at any point hate the fact that you had a child?” Oscar asked, and Amy was taken aback by the unexpected question.

“Huh?”

“I know why I'm asking, Mom, did he?” Oscar sat down opposite her, and gave her a reassuring smile, to avoid making her feel like she was in a detective's chamber. He wanted her to be open to him because he wanted to understand the root of the situation.
