CHAPTER 136

The sports car stopped outside the farm house, attracting the attention of the neighbors, who kept peering from over the walls.

“How was the ride?” Kyra asked a bit proudly.

“It was smooth, but I think the car just ran over dog poop,” replied Russell.

Kyra’s face scrunched. “T-That’s not possible.” She quickly got out of the car and looked at the front tires. What Russell said was right. The wheels had indeed run over dog poop. And Kyra looked shocked as well as angry.

“Don’t be too disappointed,” Russell almost touched her shoulder but stopped himself. “There’s no such thing as a perfect thing in this world. Whether it’s a person or a car, imperfections are part and parcel of them.”

Kyra glanced at him a bit madly. “I’m not that angry about the car. I’m more angry about the damn dog that pooped on the street.”

“They are street dogs,” he casually stated. “We can’t expect manners from them.”

“A dog pooped in front of your house, and you are taking it casually?”
