CHAPTER 137

Russell woke up later than he usually would. “I feel strangely lethargic today.” When he walked out of his room, the maid was cleaning the dishes from last night.

She smiled at him. “Did you sleep well?”

“Not really, but I’m alright.” It just didn’t feel right when this selfish maid suddenly started caring. (Did she know that I got married to the Lynn family as well?)

“One of the boys that snuck into your garden about a week ago was the son of my relatives,” she said. “I apologize in his place.”

“Oh, so he must have dared to jump over the wall because he knew you were working here?”
