Chapter 40

Amelia looked at the secretary and asked, "What happened?"

"Ma'am, Mr. Fred is outside! You have to see it!" the secretary excitedly said.

Amelia was surprised to hear this; she wiped her tears and followed her secretary to the front of the building. Her mother and aunt also stepped out.

As they stepped outside, she saw Oliver standing there with Fred, who had bruises covering his face.

Oliver's gaze was steely as he held Fred firmly, as Fred tried to free himself.

"Leave me! You thug!" Fred yelled.

It took some time before Amelia grasped what was going on. How could Oliver catch Fred?

"What's going on here?" she asked, her voice trembling with emotion.

Oliver turned to her and gently said, "Here is Fred. He is on his way to run out of the country."

Fred tried to squirm out of Oliver's grasp, and he immediately kneeled in front of Amelia.

"Please, I will give you all that I took. I will give you back your company. Please don't let that thing kill me. He is a thug, a king of cartels!"
