"Are you heading home this morning?" Ethan asked as soon as he saw Mahira coming out of his sister's room.

The woman was stretching her body, still blinking her eyes repeatedly.

Even though she had already splashed water on her face in the bathroom to freshen up, sleepiness seemed to linger, reluctant to leave her body.

"Sure. Your office is still in the same direction as my neighborhood. So it'd be good if we go together," said Mahira, making Ethan nod.

She seemed no longer awkward with Ethan, offering to help him prepare breakfast that morning.

"Actually, I can't cook. But if you want me to help you with anything, I can do it for you," Mahira said, looking at the man intently.

It was clear how sincere the woman was towards Ethan, offering whatever help she could to him.

Ethan smiled and shook his head.

"No need. You just sit. I'll do everything myself," Ethan declined.

As long as he could do everything on his own, he felt there was no reason to ask for help from others.
