The next day,

Christian was diligently reviewing some files, fully engrossed in his work. Suddenly, the door to his office swung open rudely, without even the courtesy of a knock, startling Christian.

“Dorota! What’s going on? You scared me!” Christian exclaimed, his brows furrowing.

Dorota, gasping for breath, bent over with both hands resting on her knees. She appeared utterly exhausted and... panicked.

Christian shook his head with a puzzled look. “No, why would I bother with gossip news? It’s a waste of time.”
