“But sir. My wife is inside. She could become a victim of harassment or worse. Please let me in to save my wife,” Christian pleaded.
He had often heard stories about Declan from Yve, that the man had a high level of passion. Almost all the women he brought ended up in bed. Some willingly, and some by various means. And Christian was worried that the latter might be the case with Declan.
Yvette must not be touched.
“I haven’t seen any guests being forced. All the guests, especially the women, seem to have happy faces. Besides, this isn’t a hotel, so it’s unlikely that such incidents would happen here. If they do, we’ll handle it. Just relax!” said the big, dark-skinned security officer.
Christian shook his head. Then, he pushed the security officer’s body and said, “I need to get in!”
The security officer’s sturdy body, a retired soldier who had to retire early, remained unmoved by Christian’s push.
“What part of what I said wasn’t clear? Go away! You’re just disturbing the order of the nightclub tonight!” the security officer pushed Christian, causing him to fall.
As this happened, a man with slicked-back hair, wearing a black suit, approached and said, “What’s going on? No trouble here!”
The man in the black suit then looked at the person who had fallen. He was greatly surprised because he recognized the person.
“Christian?”
Trying to stand up, Christian said, “Frankie! You’re here too.”
“I work here. What’s happening?”
“So, this is what happened...”
Christian recounted what had actually happened and the issue with his wife.
“Ah, I see,” Frankie nodded. Then, he turned to the security officer.
“What are you doing? His wife is with some men inside, why don’t you let him in?” Frankie scolded.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Supervisor. But, that’s the rule. I’m just following the rules,” the security officer defended himself.
Christian smiled widely upon hearing that his friend was a supervisor at the nightclub. Frankie would surely help him.
“Did you not see a woman being forced to enter? What if my friend’s wife is being mistreated by those people?” Frankie asked, his voice slightly raised but his expression remained flat.
“I didn’t see anyone being forced in,” the head of security explained.
Frankie looked regretful. Then, he turned to Christian.
“Ah, my friend, what should we do? My security guard here didn’t see any coercion, and there haven’t been any reports of harassment. So, it seems your wife is fine. She’s enjoying herself tonight,” Frankie said.
Christian furrowed his brow. Clearly, he didn’t understand what his high school friend meant. “What do you mean? Can you help me get inside? I want to protect Yve.”
Frankie snorted. Then, he said, “Still not clear? Poor folks like you can’t enter the Bluemoon club. Only the selected elite from the conglomerate class can enter. So, it’s better for you to wait in the parking lot or go back to your in-laws’ house and do the dishes. After your wife is done having fun, she’ll come home on her own.”
“Why are you like this? Aren’t we friends? Even though we haven’t met in a long time, at least we’ve known each other for a while. Please help me get in, Frank. I promise that if you help me now, I’ll help you in the future,” Christian pleaded.
“Friends? I see it differently. You’re the most hypocritical person I’ve ever met. You can’t even support yourself. You want to act like you’ll help me in the future? Look in the mirror before you talk,” Frankie said with a scornful expression.
Christian was shocked because he had never argued with Frankie before. Their relationship had always been good, and they used to greet each other warmly back in school.
What had caused Frankie to change?
“Tonight’s events are because of you. You were born poor, and there has been no change in your circumstances. Now you’re just a son-in-law who relies on your wife’s money. It’s no wonder your wife is having fun with other men. She’s probably disgusted with you too,” Frankie said sharply.
Christian erupted in anger. His face turned red, and his fists clenched so tightly that his veins bulged.
“You can insult me all you want, but never speak ill of my wife!” Christian growled.
Frankie raised an eyebrow and then said, “Hah? What are you going to do? I’m just telling the truth. Your wife came here happily. She must be enjoying being touched by all these men. Hahaha...”
Slap!
A solid punch landed on Frankie’s face, causing him to tumble to the ground.
“I warned you!”
Seeing this, the security guards immediately attacked Christian to defend their supervisor.
“How dare you hit the supervisor!” the security guard exclaimed.
A punch was thrown by the security guard, but Christian managed to evade it skillfully.
“I’m going to turn you into mashed potatoes!” the security guard shouted as he launched another punch.
This time, Christian parried it and then retaliated with a punch to the security guard’s left cheek.
A skinny, fair-skinned man with short hair watched the scene unfold from inside a car parked not far from the club’s entrance.
Darrell took out his phone and called someone.
“Get out of the club quickly. Your men are causing trouble with the new owner of the Bluemoon club!” Darrell exclaimed.
“What? New owner? You mean Mr. Christian Demetri?” the general manager asked.
“That’s right!”
“I-I’ll be right there!” the GM said, his voice trembling with fear.
Earlier that morning, Leopold, the general manager of the Bluemoon club, had received an official letter announcing the change of ownership from Carlos Demetri to Christian Demetri.
Clearly, if Christian were to get angry with him over his employees’ actions, his job would be in jeopardy. He didn’t want that to happen. That’s why the portly man rushed to the front of the club.
Upon arriving at the entrance, he saw the security guard and Frankie in a fight with a shabbily dressed man.
It was two against one, but Christian remained unscathed.
“Stop!” Leopold shouted loudly.
Both Frankie and the security guard turned to the source of the voice, as did Christian.
“Mr. GM?”
Frankie was surprised by the arrival of his boss. He walked over to explain what had happened.
However, Leopold paid him no attention. He rushed over to Christian and bowed at a 90-degree angle.
“Welcome, Mr. Demetri! I apologize for the behavior of my subordinates!” Leopold said while bowing.
Frankie was wide-eyed. He was deeply shocked by Leopold’s actions
“W-what? Why would he do that?”
A general manager, a respected figure throughout the city, bowed before a man named Christian. Who was this man, really?“You don’t need to apologize. It’s not your fault!” Christian said.Leopold stood up straight, saying, “Thank you very much, Mr. Demetri.”Then, Leopold turned to the security guard and Frankie. His gaze was so sharp that both men were afraid to meet his eyes.“What were you two doing to Mr. Demetri? How dare you lay a hand on Mr. Demetri!” Leopold exclaimed.Christian himself was confused by the behavior of the Bluemoon club’s general manager. He didn’t know that the nightclub belonged to him because he hadn’t read the list of companies under the BIG Consortium Corp.“Mr. Leopold, we were just following the rules. People without memberships are not allowed in,” Frankie explained, defending himself.Smack!Without warning, Leopold punched Frankie on the left cheek, in the same spot where he had been struck by Christian.“Do you know who he is? He’s—”Christian p
The tall man entered the room. He was Percival’s head of security, who had just returned from the restroom.“How was it? Easy to touch me? I think it’s much easier to touch your beautiful wife,” Percival said as he stroked Yve’s hand.“You bastard! I’ll break your legs and toss you onto the street to be eaten by stray dogs. You despicable human!” Christian shouted, rebelling.Hearing this, Percival grew furious. His face turned red.“You want to break my legs? I’ll break your legs first!”Percival was now only 25 centimeters away from Christian. He grabbed Christian’s hair.“You talk too much, but the result is zero. Just like your pathetic life. Living as a useless son-in-law who can only do housework like a servant, you’re not worthy to talk to me,” Percival said.Thwack!A slap landed on Christian’s left cheek.“Hahaha... trash! Try to hit me back. Slap my cheek!” Percival taunted with a smile on his face.Leopold couldn’t let this happen. He went against Christian’s orders, which
Octavian’s actions could potentially get him into trouble. Harming civilians could lead to disciplinary action for a soldier. Whether it’s a transfer, a delay in promotion, or even dismissal.“Feel free to report me if you want. I don’t care. I’ve memorized the faces of everyone here. It’s very easy for me to eliminate all of you and your family members!” Percival fell silent. He didn’t speak much anymore. His decision to report what Octavian had done would have to wait.Christian immediately approached Yve and checked her body temperature.“Is she okay?” Octavian asked.“She’s just drunk. She had too much to drink. I’ll take her home and take care of her. Thank you for helping me, General! Sorry for the trouble,” Christian said.“No need to be sorry. When I got the call from Darrell, I was nearby. So, it’s no trouble at all,” Octavian replied.Darrell again. This made Christian even more convinced that he had significant power now.Imagine, a brigadier general who controlled the eas
However, Christian later became doubtful. His consistently unfortunate life had accustomed him to not dreaming big, at least until he was absolutely sure that he was the heir to the Demetri Family’s wealth. What if they didn’t believe that the sender of the email was Christian Demetri? Or what if he wasn’t the rightful heir? But all those worries vanished when the reply email from CrispCrafter Industries arrived on his phone.“Good evening, Mr. Christian Demetri. We will promptly process your request. A board meeting will be held tomorrow to determine the requirements needed by the local companies in New York to collaborate with us. The results will be sent to you via email. Thank you.”After reading the letter, Christian felt extremely delighted. He stood on the garden chair and leaped to let out his joy.“I will make you happy, Yve!” Christian exclaimed. The Next Day,Yve hurriedly went to the office. Without hearing the events of the previous night, she realized that the deal with
“Do you know how much that necklace costs? How are you going to replace it?”Yve appeared panicked and stressed. For years, she had been giving Christian a monthly allowance of 3 million. If Christian hadn’t used any of it for three years, he would only have around 108 million left. That meant he would have to save for another 4 years to be able to replace the necklace. It wasn’t possible for Yve to replace it herself. She didn’t have that much money. She only had 20 million in her savings. But seeing the panic in his wife’s eyes, Christian smiled. He was glad to see that she still cared about him.If Christian had done this a few days ago, he wouldn’t be this calm. He might have been even more panicked than Yve.“Darling, I brought you lunch. Where would you like to eat? In the room or in the garden?” Christian handed a red lunchbox to his wife.“Wish-wish-wish... you’ve ruined someone else’s property, and you can still act so relaxed like this? Yve is panicking, but you’re acting li
There’s nothing wrong with what Elara said when she saw the clothes Christian was wearing. A set of clothes that, if sold, wouldn’t fetch more than 50 thousand.“Oh, 20 billion, is it? Quite substantial, isn’t it?” Christian asked, his left hand on his stomach and his right hand stroking his chin.Elara clearly didn’t like Christian’s attitude, which she thought was akin to that of a billionaire with assets in the hundreds of billions.Indeed, Elara’s estimate was far from accurate. Because Christian’s assets reached trillions.“Not just substantial, but exceedingly so. Moreover, we also carefully screen the data of those who want to open accounts with this bank. So, it’s not easy to become a customer of GMI bank,” Elara said.Christian then nodded, mumbling, “Well, in that case, the money I have here is truly fantastic. Helping Yve won’t be difficult for me.”His voice wasn’t loud, but Elara could hear him clearly. So, she furrowed her brow and assessed the ragged man in front of her
Not only Elara was surprised, but the entire room, especially the two security guards, were as well. If this happened, those two men were the luckiest ones.Elara was the most beautiful woman at GMI Bank. Her body enticed every man who laid eyes on her. Even seeing her in office attire was enough to make their mouths water, let alone without clothes.“You were the one who told me to take off my clothes earlier. Now, I’ll turn the tables on you. Come on, strip. Or do you think you’re not even the slightest bit guilty?” Christian said, nonchalantly, as if instructing someone to eat.Elara deeply regretted what she had said to Christian earlier. She didn’t expect that Christian would seek revenge on her like this. For a woman, a punishment like this was the most severe. Being completely exposed in front of a man who wasn’t her husband was a severe blow to her self-esteem and psyche. But the other option, leaving her 3-year-old child behind, was clearly not an option for Elara.“Mr. Chris
“I’ll pay De Delta Company’s debt on behalf of Yvette!” Christian confidently declared.Everyone in the room fell momentarily silent, taken aback by Christian’s words. However, Orion burst into laughter, followed by Alaric. Even Marigold, who rarely laughed, joined in this time.“Oh, Christian, you’re incredibly funny, thank you for entertaining me when I’m feeling dizzy,” Orion said. Then the man turned towards Yve and said, “Your husband is perfect for a comedian. Just sign him up at a comedy club. It seems more positive than him having to do the dishes and cleaning at home.”Yve felt increasingly pressured by Christian’s presence. Right now, she was trying to save her marriage from the voices urging her to divorce. But here was Christian, showing off.“Look, Yve! Is that the man you chose as your husband? Someone who loves to brag and daydream. All his life, he’s relied on his wife, and now he dares to say he can pay off the company’s debt!” Marigold exclaimed in frustration. This
Altus was aware that Christian was currently dealing with a significant problem. So, he offered to help Christian calm down.“Do you know of a place that is green and peaceful?” asked Christian.“Of course. I’ll take you to a tranquil place,” replied Altus.“Alright, take me there,” said Christian. After saying that, Altus immediately drove his car towards a hill not far from where they were.During the journey, Christian remained silent. He didn’t say a word.Christian’s mind was still in turmoil. The issue he was facing seemed even heavier to him than Demetri’s family issues. After about an hour’s drive, they finally arrived at a charming house on a hill. The surroundings of the house were exceptionally beautiful. There were no other buildings in sight, only nature as far as the eye could see.“We’ve arrived, sir!” said Altus.Christian looked around and was quite amazed. This place was even more beautiful than the villa at the peak.“Whose house is this, Altus?” asked Christian, pu
Christian fell silent upon hearing Elvira’s words from across the room. He was annoyed that Tavares was still threatening him through Elvira.“What an insolent man! How dare he threaten me through Elvira. When I meet him, I’ll finish him off,” Christian muttered angrily to himself.“I’ll kill him,” Christian growled.“Stop!” shouted one of Tavares’s guards, blocking Christian’s path. But Christian remained unmoved. After ending the call from Elvira, who had complained about Tavares’s threats, he decided to enter the house anyway.“I’ll report this assault to the police!” yelled the same man who had stopped Christian earlier.Upon hearing the threat from the man in black before him, Christian burst out laughing. “Hahaha.”“Don’t dream in broad daylight!”Christian immediately struck the man, knocking him unconscious.“Tavares! Come out!” Christian shouted in frustration. There was no response from inside the house. The people in front of Christian remained silent, intimidated after the
“One more time, I ask you to stop or I’ll beat you!”The man’s shout made Christian and Altus pause for a moment, but both of them chose to ignore the man yelling at them.“Should we deal with all of them first, Sir?” Altus asked as they walked.“No need, just ignore them.”“But they’re following us, Sir. It looks like they have weapons too.” Altus sharpened his hearing and noticed some of the people seemed to be carrying sticks or something similar because he could hear those objects hitting the ground or something nearby. On both sides of Altus, there were piles of wood, like the remnants of a demolished building or something similar. Clearly, this place looked more like a warehouse than a residential house.“Hey, stop right there!” the man shouted again.Christian ignored him and urged Altus to keep walking. “Keep walking and don’t listen to them. Even if they attack, we will definitely win.”“Alright, Sir. So we should keep walking, right?” Altus repeated his question. He was hone
“Let go, Valerio, release him. Come on, let’s go from here,” Darrell urged Valerio to release Daeron’s arm and walk away with him.“Let him be with his decision, we don’t need to force Daeron to come home,” Darrell repeated, insisting on leaving Daeron be.“Alright,” Valerio replied, following Darrell’s command. He released Daeron’s arm and walked alongside Darrell, who had already started walking away from the people there.Valerio didn’t know Darrell’s intention in letting Daeron go, but he obediently followed Darrell’s orders. Valerio was sure Darrell knew what he was doing.“Leaving Daeron like this, maybe Darrell has another plan,” Valerio thought to himself, seemingly understanding Darrell’s intentions even without being told.“No! This can’t happen, I don’t want to become poor and live in misery. No! No!” Daeron’s thoughts were in turmoil as Darrell and Valerio released him and simply left him there with his three friends.Darrell and Valerio walked away from Daeron, seemingly
“Nothing yet, Mr. Demetri. So far, that’s all I found from the search. But I promise I’ll look for more information later,” Altus said, bowing slightly. He admitted he hadn’t found much more about Daeron.“Alright then, keep searching for more information about Daeron. I’ll wait for good news, don’t disappoint me.”“Got it, Sir. I’ll focus more on finding information about Daeron,” Altus promised to Christian. After that, they both fell silent for a long time. No one initiated a conversation. Christian was preoccupied with thoughts about Daeron, Tavares, Yve, and many more. Meanwhile, Altus was busy trying to guess what Christian was thinking. He didn’t feel comfortable starting another conversation, so the only option he chose was to wait for Christian to say something to him.Altus glanced at Christian, but after waiting for a while, he still didn’t say anything.“Is there anything else you’d like to say, Mr. Demetri?” Altus asked after a few moments of silence from his superior.“H
Christian stopped talking after he remembered why he was looking for Tavares. He couldn’t tell Altus the real reason.Christian’s silence made Altus feel uneasy and a little suspicious. If it wasn’t something very important, Christian wouldn’t be looking for someone like this.“Why stop, sir? Can’t I know who that person is?” asked Altus in a soft voice, but his eyes were sharp.“Do you remember some people I met at a hotel where Elvira was?” Christian asked.Altus nodded. He remembered that incident.“Well, Tavares was one of them. In short, he dared to play games with me by trying to ruin my marriage,” Christian explained. “So, because he wants to play with me, I will give him a game he will remember for the rest of his life.”Altus fell silent for a moment. He had never seen Christian so angry before.“Well then, I will ask the troops to find Tavares’s whereabouts so we can quickly meet him. He really needs to be told that he’s messing with the wrong person,” growled Altus.Christi
Claudia was terrified when she heard Christian’s shout. Her courage shrank after seeing her cousin angry. She knew very well who Christian was. No one would dare face him in such a state because it was certain that person would end up beaten black and blue. Claudia also clearly remembered Christian’s position. This would definitely make things difficult for her if she ended up offending her cousin.“I’m sorry, Christian! I didn’t mean it like that! I was just worried!” Claudia said softly. She bowed her head because she didn’t dare to look at her cousin’s angry face.Christian took several deep breaths. He tried to control his emotions, which had flared up moments ago.“Sorry, I didn’t mean to yell at you!” Christian said after he had calmed down.“Never say something like that again. What if someone heard and misunderstood?” Christian continued.“Sorry!” Claudia squeaked. She felt guilty for accusing her cousin of such things. She should have handled it more maturely.“It’s late, go
“You love Me?” Valerio asked to confirm Elvira’s feelings for him.“Do you still need an answer?” Elvira asked back.“Of course, I want to make sure that your heart and body are only for me.” Valerio saw the glint in Elvira’s eyes which were becoming increasingly passionate. What’s more, his hands were twisting the edge of her chest.Elvira nodded her head. “Really. I really love you.” She doesn’t deny that she really loves Valerio. Even though Mr. Demetri still makes her fly, her heart is still with Valerio.“So, are we going to spend the night until you can’t walk?” Valerio said while squeezing Elvira’s mound. It felt like he hadn’t spent time with Elvira in a long time. And maybe now is the right time, after they were involved in the misunderstanding earlier.Seeing Elvira’s body again made him crazy. Must make the woman unable to wake up tomorrow morning. He will show that he is the best for Elvira, in bed too.“Are you really up to it?” Elvira chuckled. “Then I need proof.” Elvir
Christian stuttered. He was confused about what to say. But his mind quickly raced; he had to make sure Valerio didn’t suspect anything. But his mind went blank; he couldn’t think of a reason to prevent Valerio from misunderstanding.“Thank you again for your help, Mr. Demetri!” Elvira exclaimed. Christian glanced briefly, then shifted slightly to give Elvira space. Thank you for what?“Sweetheart, why are you here? For long?” Elvira asked, feigning surprise towards Valerio.Luckily, she had an idea and took control. She knew Christian must be struggling to find a plausible excuse.“It’s actually me who’s asking. What were you two doing? Why was Mr. Demetri in your room?” Valerio asked suspiciously. His eyes narrowed, seeing his girlfriend with Mr. Demetri in the room last night.“Oh... there was a small mouse inside. I was terribly afraid. As I ran out to ask for help to chase it away, Mr. Demetri happened to pass by. So, I asked for his help!” Elvira replied. It was a plausible excu
