Chapter 4

A general manager, a respected figure throughout the city, bowed before a man named Christian.

Who was this man, really?

“You don’t need to apologize. It’s not your fault!” Christian said.

Leopold stood up straight, saying, “Thank you very much, Mr.  Demetri.”

Then, Leopold turned to the security guard and Frankie. His gaze was so sharp that both men were afraid to meet his eyes.

“What were you two doing to Mr.  Demetri? How dare you lay a hand on Mr.  Demetri!” Leopold exclaimed.

Christian himself was confused by the behavior of the Bluemoon club’s general manager. He didn’t know that the nightclub belonged to him because he hadn’t read the list of companies under the BIG Consortium Corp.

“Mr. Leopold, we were just following the rules. People without memberships are not allowed in,” Frankie explained, defending himself.

Smack!

Without warning, Leopold punched Frankie on the left cheek, in the same spot where he had been struck by Christian.

“Do you know who he is? He’s—”

Christian put his hand on Leopold’s shoulder and said, “There are important things that should not be said here.”

Leopold immediately closed his mouth. He had almost revealed who Christian really was.

“Very well, Mr.  Demetri!” Leopold replied, very polite.

Frankie and the security guard were drenched in sweat. They didn’t know who Christian really was, but they realized he wasn’t just an ordinary person.

“Can you take me inside? Those two were blocking me from entering, even though I told them my wife is inside with some men. I’m worried about her,” Christian said.

“Of course, Mr.  Demetri,” Leopold replied.

Then, Leopold turned to his two subordinates who had been disrespectful to Christian.

“You both are truly disrespectful!” Leopold exclaimed. He then called for other security personnel through his HT.

Three security guards from inside the club and two security guards from the outside area quickly arrived.

“Deal with these two. Then, take him to the vineyard. Make him a farmer!” Leopold ordered.

The five security guards were shocked to hear this. They all knew the two men.

“But, sir—”

“Follow my orders, or I’ll fire all of you!” Leopold threatened.

Reluctantly, the five security guards carried out the general manager’s orders.

“Mr. Leopold, forgive me. I promise I won’t do it again,” Frankie said.

Then, he turned to Christian and said, “Christian, forgive me. We’re friends, aren’t we? You said it yourself.”

“Hmph!” Christian spat in Frankie’s direction. “Since when do I have a friend like you?”

Just as Frankie was about to say something, he was attacked by the club’s security personnel, receiving a series of blows. In one second, he was hit five times.

He fell to the ground.

“Come, Mr. Demetri, I’ll take you inside,” Leopold said in a friendly tone.

Christian nodded. He then turned to his friend, who was being beaten, and said, “I hope someday you won’t underestimate others and hurt their feelings.”

Then he walked into the luxurious nightclub, dominated by black and red colors.

“Leopold, do you recognize me?” Christian asked.

“Of course. You’re the new owner of the Bluemoon club. How could I not know you?” Leopold replied.

Christian was taken aback. This was very surprising to him. But then he remembered the email about the inheritance letter. Christian finally realized that he was not the same Christian as before.

“My wife was taken by Declan Wilson to discuss business with an investor. Quickly, find out where their room is!” Christian exclaimed.

Leopold nodded. He immediately contacted his subordinates to locate Declan Wilson.

It took less than a minute to find Declan’s whereabouts.

“Declan Wilson is in karaoke room number 17, sir,” one of Leopold’s subordinates explained.

“Your wife is in karaoke room number 17. Let me show you the way!” Leopold said.

The two of them hurried to the karaoke room.

Christian clenched his fists so tightly that his veins stood out. “If anything happens to Yve, I won’t forgive you!” he muttered.

Now they were standing in front of the karaoke room where Yvette was.

“What should we do, Mr. Demetri? Should we just go in and confront the people bothering Mr. Demetri’s wife, or what?” Leopold asked, not wanting to make a hasty decision.

Christian knew his wife was discussing a business partnership with someone who would become an investor. He couldn’t act recklessly. If he entered and it turned out they were indeed discussing business, his wife would be furious, and the collaboration would surely fail.

“Is there a CCTV inside?” Christian asked.

“Honestly, in every room, there are hidden cameras equipped with infrared technology. But only the owner of the Bluemoon club can access them,” Leopold explained.

Christian raised both his eyebrows.

“Ah, forgive me, Mr. Demetri,” Leopold realized that the person he was talking to was the owner of the Bluemoon club.

Leopold then immediately accessed the nightclub’s security portal via his phone. Then he entered the surveillance camera feature number 6.

“Please enter the PIN, sir,” Leopold said as he handed over his phone.

“PIN code? I don’t know it,” Christian replied.

Leopold immediately slumped. Then he said, “In that case, we can’t access the surveillance cameras.”

Christian then took out his phone and opened an email about the list of companies he now owned.

After a few moments of searching, he finally found the name Bluemoon club.

Christian skimmed through the company details and immediately looked for a secret code or PIN mentioned there.

“Ah, here it is.” Christian finally found the secret code information.

Christian entered the secret code into the required PIN to access the surveillance camera.

Access granted.

Christian could immediately see the situation inside the room.

There were three people inside the room. Yve was sitting between Declan and a middle-aged man with a beer belly. There were four people standing in the corner of the room, serving as guards for the middle-aged man.

Christian was furious when he saw his wife being forced by Declan to drink alcohol even though she was already drunk.

“Come on, one more glass, Yve! Mr. Percival has raised his glass. If he’s disappointed and angry, your company’s deal with Mr. Percival will fail!” Declan insisted.

“Alright!” Yve took another sip.

Declan and Percival cheered for Yve.

Three seconds later, Yve finally fell into Declan’s lap, unconscious.

“She’s heavily drunk now, Mr. Percival. You can enjoy her now,” Declan said, grinning widely. “Even though she’s already married, I guarantee she’s untouched.”

“Hahaha... it’s a pleasure doing business with you, Declan. I’ll have my assistant send money to your company as soon as possible,” Percival said.

Christian couldn’t contain his anger any longer when he saw Percival hugging Yve.

“You stay here. Don’t reveal my identity to anyone!” Christian shouted.

“Okay!” Leopold replied.

Christian then kicked the door to the karaoke room with great force.

Everyone in the room was startled. Percival, who was about to kiss Yve, nearly jumped when the door was smashed open.

“Release my wife!” Christian shouted.

Declan immediately stood up. He couldn’t let Christian’s arrival ruin the deal with Percival.

“Christian! We’re discussing a business partnership here. What are you doing here?” Percival asked.

“You scoundrel! How dare you sell my wife for your profit!” Christian yelled.

Thwack!

Without mercy, a punch landed heavily on Declan’s face, causing him to fall onto the sofa.

“How dare you hit me!” Declan growled.

Christian didn’t care. He turned to the middle-aged man wearing a black suit who was still holding his wife.

“You old hag! Let go of my wife!” Christian shouted.

“Hahaha... maybe you can hit Declan, but you can’t touch me, you worthless son-in-law!” Percival said confidently because he had his guards with him.

“Why can’t I touch you? It’s very easy for me to do that,” Christian growled.

Percival raised his left hand and waved it, signaling his guards to come forward.

“Come here! I’ll see your ability to get past my men while enjoying your wife’s body. It’s a shame, such a beautiful woman but still pure. Perhaps her purity is destined for me,” Percival said, grinning widely.

“If you dare do that, I’ll kill you!” Christian shouted.

Then he moved to attack Percival. However, a kick landed in his stomach, causing him to stagger.

“Before touching Boss Percival, you have to get through us first!” said a square-faced man with a strong jaw.

After that, Percival’s four guards attacked Christian.

Unexpectedly, Christian, who had mastered some martial arts learned since childhood when he was in an orphanage, was able to avoid all the attacks launched at him.

Christian moved like a snake, twisting and turning to evade his opponents’ attacks.

Somehow, Christian managed to touch Percival’s guards because all we could see were attacks from the four men. But now, all four of Percival’s henchmen had fallen.

Christian, gasping for breath, said, “You see! Now, I’m going to finish you!”

Percival was astonished to see his four henchmen fall so easily.

Christian stepped forward. But suddenly, his body couldn’t move. A lock tied his body from behind.

“Thinking of winning indeed makes a person weak!” said a tall, big man who was locking Bastian with the anaconda technique.

“Damn!”
