Chapter 6

Octavian’s actions could potentially get him into trouble. Harming civilians could lead to disciplinary action for a soldier. Whether it’s a transfer, a delay in promotion, or even dismissal.

“Feel free to report me if you want. I don’t care. I’ve memorized the faces of everyone here. It’s very easy for me to eliminate all of you and your family members!”

Percival fell silent. He didn’t speak much anymore. His decision to report what Octavian had done would have to wait.

Christian immediately approached Yve and checked her body temperature.

“Is she okay?” Octavian asked.

“She’s just drunk. She had too much to drink. I’ll take her home and take care of her. Thank you for helping me, General! Sorry for the trouble,” Christian said.

“No need to be sorry. When I got the call from Darrell, I was nearby. So, it’s no trouble at all,” Octavian replied.

Darrell again. This made Christian even more convinced that he had significant power now.

Imagine, a brigadier general who controlled the eastern NY region was on his side.

“Whenever you need my help, just call, don’t hesitate!” Octavian said, smiling.

“Alright, General!”

Christian then carried his wife’s body to take her home.

“Please, Mr. Christian. Just use the elevator to go to the basement. There’s a club’s operational car there, and I’ll drive you home,” Leopold said, bowing slightly.

Christian only nodded. And they went home with Leopold’s assistance.

Upon arriving at their house, Leopold opened the back door of the car for Christian.

“Just go back to the Bluemoon club!” Christian shouted as he got out of the car, still carrying Yve’s body.

“Okay, Sir!” Leopold replied, bowing. “Again, I apologize for not managing the club well, which allowed this incident to happen.”

Christian didn’t respond. He just walked into the house while carrying his wife.

Camila opened the front door upon hearing the sound of the car engine stopping in front of the house. She thought it was Declan’s car.

“Yve!” Camila was shocked to see her daughter unconscious. She immediately held Yve’s face.

Then the woman looked up and asked, “What did you do to our child?”

Her hatred for Christian was deep-rooted. She thought that everything bad that happened to Yve was Christian’s fault.

“It’s because Declan got Yve heavily drunk with alcohol,” Christian explained as he walked toward his room.

Camila followed Christian after closing the door.

“What about their partnership? Did Yve succeed?” Camila asked.

Christian turned around and faced his mother-in-law.

“Declan deliberately got Yve drunk. Once he succeeded, he handed Yve over to the old man for his personal gain. I can’t allow Yve to be defiled by them. So, the partnership is canceled,” Christian explained.

“What? You’re canceling the partnership? Are you out of your mind? The partnership is the only thing that can save the company,” Camila exclaimed, closing her eyes and shaking her head.

“You truly are something else! You’ve become a parasite, useless, and now you’re destroying the company. Truly you!” Camila fumed.

The elderly woman pointed at Christian’s face and said, “You should divorce Yvette as soon as possible. I’m sick of seeing you constantly causing trouble!”

After saying that, Camila walked into her room.

Christian let out a sigh with a single motion.

He realized that he had put De Delta Company on the brink and caused trouble for Yve in the future. But he had no choice. His wife’s purity was something of utmost importance to him.

A beautiful woman with a face resembling Yve’s but with slightly plumper cheeks and black hair watched from a distance. She was Lyka De Delta, Yvette’s sister.

“What you did was right,” Lyka said coldly, then she went back into her room.

In the De Delta family, the only person who didn’t despise Christian was Lyka. The introverted woman had even been the second person to approve of Yvette’s marriage to Christian after their father.

Christian smiled, then he walked to the backyard and sat in a garden chair.

The events of the day had truly drained him physically, mentally, and emotionally, and it all felt surreal. It was hard for him to believe how much he had changed.

Christian then took out his phone and checked the email containing a list of thousands of companies under BIG Consortium Corp.

He had briefly seen these companies before when he was searching for the access PIN for the surveillance cameras at the Bluemoon club. But this time, as he read carefully, Christian was astonished. All the companies on the list were large and well-known, many of them in New York.

However, one name caught his attention. This company was in the food industry.

CrispCrafter Industries.

A company that produced a trendy and globally famous snack, Pommes Frites.

“Is this for real?” Christian asked himself.

Many global companies were eager to collaborate with this company to sell Pommes Frites in their countries, just as in America. However, so far, only three countries outside the European Union had partnered with them.

Christian immediately remembered Yvette’s desire, which she had mentioned some time ago, to become a distributor of Pommes Frites-based snacks in New York. He wanted to fulfill his wife’s dream.

“If De Delta can collaborate with CrispCrafter Industries, the company might attract many investors and thrive like it used to.”

Imagining how happy Yvette would be if this collaboration came to fruition filled Christian with excitement.

Then Christian searched for the contact information of the company. When he found it, he chose email as the formal means to send a message.

“I am Christian Demetri, CEO of BIG Consortium Corp, as well as the owner and the largest shareholder. I request CrispCrafter Industries to distribute Pommes Frites products in New York and collaborate with local companies for distribution. I hope to receive a prompt response.”

After finishing the message, Christian immediately sent it.

Christian then looked up at the starry sky. It was incredibly beautiful.

“I will make you shine, much brighter than the stars. I will make you a queen in this world,” Christian murmured with determination.
