What did the guard mean that one of the guests, who came to the estate with David, was abusing someone on his estate?

“I talked to the young lady as I carried her back to the castle because her ankle was broken, and she told me that one of Sir David’s friends tried to force himself on her and would have succeeded if Lord Crimson hadn’t arrived and taken care of him” The guard said and Reginald groaned with disappointment.

So David was friends with someone who would do something as disgusting as try to force himself on a defenseless girl? Yet another reason why Reginald was growing increasingly disappointed in David.

What kind of royal aligns himself with such a person? How shameful.

“So this young girl the lord saved from being assaulted, what’s her name?” Reginald asked, thinking that Kristin was Lynette because he, just like everyone, didn’t know that Dark Emblem had kidnapped her along with David.

“Her name is Kristin, Your Majesty,” the guard said, and Reginald was instant

“What do you mean you have a way to find the—“ Obadiah asked hurriedly but was cut off. He was curious to know how Steven, a regular mortal, was able to track Jeremiah when he couldn’t do the same with magic. What did he obtain between the moment of leaving the study and returning that was more powerful than magic itself? Obadiah wondered and that he would soon find out. “How are you going to find the Lord?!” Reginald asked. Just then, Steven turned to the opened door and said “Bring him in” “Him? Bring who in?” Reginald mumbled, grimacing confusedly. To Reginald’s, Kingston’s, and Obadiah’s surprise, a guard walked into the study, and being pulled along was a strange guy who they had never seen before. “Stay right here,” the guard said as he made the guy he forced into the study stand in one place. “Who is this?” Reginald asked Steven, who had closed the door and stepped closer. Steven looked at the stranger and said “Go ahead. Tell the king what you told the guards who f

Her expression, however, was concealed by the helmet she wore. She looked at the road, stared at all the cars that drove by then she looked at Jeremiah and said “Here? On the highway?”Nonchalantly, Jeremiah replied, “Is there anything wrong with that?” “B-but I thought we were going to continue driving around the town for a while and afterward you were going to drop me off at home,” Britney said, a smidge of disappointment in her tone.“What made you think that?” Jeremiah asked and Britney jolted. It finally dawned on her that all Jeremiah had said after he bought the motorcycle was if she wanted a ride. He never said where he was going to drive her to and he most certainly didn’t promise to drop her off at home.Immediately, Britney became embarrassed.“I-I don’t know. I just thought that it was implied and h-honestly, I was looking forward to having you over. We could have watched a movie w

Jeremiah craned his head from left to right, scoping the area for any sign of life, because from where he sat, the place seemed very dead. All the lights were shut off and even for the time of night it was currently, the environment was strangely too quiet and all his instincts were telling him that something was off. From what Jeremiah saw, everything was clear from where he parked his motorcycle to the furthest part of the chemical/gas processing plant he could see. Granted, the angle from which he was doing his surveillance didn’t give him the full picture of the plant, so there could very well be people in the area that he just couldn’t see. However, that was where his heightened sense of hearing came in. Besides just looking, Jeremiah had also listened for people, and from what could hear, the place was vacant. Clearly, Lynette and David were inside the plant because their scent trails were leading him to the chain-link fence in front of him, and if they were there then

The gruesome and grotesque nature of the sight before Jeremiah left his stomach at odds.‘What kind of people would do something like this?’ Jeremiah asked himself as his heart filled with more disgust for Dark Emblem than it already was which says a lot because he already hated them to the core.On the other hand, what else did he expect from the same people, who planted a bomb at his welcome ceremony, and had no problem for everyone which numbered more than a hundred and fifty people— counting the guests and workers— to die? There was no point in reasoning with the members of Dark Emblem because they’ve shown themselves to be the worst types of beings in the entire world.Worse than the most deadly animals in the wild because the animals at least work off of instincts and a need for survival, whereas these ones do evil with their full heart when they don’t have to, and all for what? For power? How sickening. If they are powerful enough to hypnotize someone and use a spell to concea

A couple of minutes ago, after Jeremiah entered the building and was walking in an empty passageway the scent trail of David and Lynette led him to, he saw something very interesting. It was a phone lying on the floor with the back camera facing the ceiling. “What’s this?” He grimaced under his helmet. Curious as to why a phone was abandoned there, Jeremiah walked over to it and then crouched down to pick it up. Once in his hand, Jeremiah groaned. “This looks familiar” Jeremiah commented as he observed the phone which he was sure that he had seen before. Wanting to confirm his suspicions, Jeremiah pressed the power button and what he saw on the Lock Screen proved his thoughts. He had gotten a good look at David’s phone back at the castle when David showed him the button he had wanted to press to call some of the guards to where he was. An action that ended up backfiring on him when the guards sided with Jeremiah instead. Looking at the Lock Screen, Jeremiah saw that as

IMPLOSION was a spell that the members of Dark Emblem used to kill their targets quickly and it was the spell Adam loved to use the most. It was to the point that he was known in the entire organization as the fastest when it came to casting it, making him formidable among their ranks, but he had just failed to kill one man twice? What was going on? Both Dean and Adam stared at Jeremiah with curiosity but also concern. Adam and Dean looked at each other then they looked at Jeremiah and with quick speed, they pointed their hands at Jeremiah and cast the IMPLOSION spell. As expected, Adam’s was the first to shoot towards Jeremiah while Dean’s followed a fraction of a second later. No way Jeremiah was going to evade the two of them as it wouldn’t only be insane but also humanly impossible, right? Well, that was the same thing they thought would happen in the welcome ceremony. It would be impossible for the guests not to die from the explosion of the magical Rubix cube, but just li

“How did you do that?!” Adam asked aggressively as he hurriedly turned to Jeremiah. He had never seen a situation where something thrown by someone shattered something as strong as their magical shield. It was inconceivable to even think about but it just happened right in front of his eyes. In less than a minute, Jeremiah had done two things he thought were impossible. Avoid his IMPLOSION and shattered Dean’s shield which was one of the best in Dark Emblem. Jeremiah groaned and said “So you care about your partner? I wouldn’t have expected that emotion to exist in your organization” Adam frowned while Dean caught his breath. “How does it feel when someone you know gets hurt? Doesn’t feel good, does it? Well, tell that to the families of all the people you killed and the guests at the welcome ceremony who you almost killed” said Jeremiah with a tone of disgust in his voice. Immediately, Adam’s eyes widened. “The welcome ceremony? How did you know about that— wait a minute! Wha

Seeing Dean’s hand pointed at David and knowing the spell he was threatening to use, Jeremiah pictured the dismembered bodies of the guards he saw outside. He thought about how the same was going to happen to David if he didn’t do what Dean wanted and left with no other choice, he halted his entrance.“Fuck” Jeremiah said under his breath. How was he going to get out of this situation? He wondered.Yes, he was very fast but sadly not fast enough to close the gap between himself and Dean before Dean kills David, so there was no point in trying. He couldn’t risk David’s life like that.“Why are you doing this?” Jeremiah asked.“Unfortunately, the concealment spell is something Adam would have to continuously cast as he and the bride escape, making him unable to defend himself or attack unless he wants you to know where they are, but that’s why I’m here. I’m going to keep you here until they get away” Dean said.Normally, CONCEALMENT is used to hide something stationary as it creates a

Jeremiah grinned, happy about the news of him getting to learn magic.Magic was something every kid wished they could do growing up, but eventually, they would become disappointed when they found out that it wasn’t real. However, not only was Jeremiah going to fulfill his childhood dream of learning and then doing magic, but it wasn’t going to be the type the magicians he loved to watch did. This wasn’t going to be tricks or sleight-of-hand gimmicks, but rather the real deal. The same type of magic that only existed in fictional movies with characters seemingly doing the impossible with just the utterance of words and now he was about to be one of them.“Now that Dark Emblem has been informed of the Lord’s return and will be preparing to come for him, do you realistically think that you have enough time to teach him magic that would make a difference between winning or losing?” Reginald asked. Obadiah looked at Jeremiah from head to toe, placed his hand on his chin, groaned, and the

Inside the Study, Reginald, who noticed that Jeremiah’s mind was elsewhere, asked him what he was doing. Jeremiah had actually been eavesdropping on David, wondering if he would say anything that would expose his involvement in the gas processing plant’s explosion and prove to Jeremiah that his suspicion was right. However, that didn’t happen and Jeremiah got annoyed that David stopped talking all of a sudden. From the last sentence Jeremiah heard David say before abruptly cutting himself off, he concluded that David knew he was onto him and was actively trying not to expose himself. Or perhaps it was just a coincidence, and Jeremiah was wrong about the whole thing—meaning David wasn’t involved in the explosion at all. There could only be one answer to the two possibilities, and time would reveal which one was correct because sooner or later, David was bound to slip up. All Jeremiah had to do was wait for that moment to come. Jeremiah replied “Nothing. I was just listening to wh

David, looking at Jeremiah, blinked multiple times to emphasize his shock.Even though he had once thought that Jeremiah had joined hands with Dean and Adam to kill all the guards—after seeing the dismembered bodies when he escaped the plant—the fact that this was only an assumption and was never confirmed left him with some doubt that Jeremiah had ever gotten blood on his hands. That assumption quickly vanished after he heard about how Jeremiah saved everyone at the welcome ceremony from the Rubik's Cube bomb and even traveled a great distance to save him. However, when Jeremiah admitted outright that he had killed Dean—and went on to elaborate on how he did it—it sent a shock through David's body. He realized he might have been wrong about who Jeremiah had killed, but not about the fact that he had killed someone.‘So he really is a cold-blooded murderer’ David thought and gulped.Just then, David noticed something that felt concerning. He looked at Reginald and the three other men—

The fact that he had just heard that Jeremiah, his one competition for the throne, was a powerful being who could do whatever he wanted, made him feel weak and useless in comparison, and seeing Kingston’s hand annoyed the hell out of him.Still, he had to maintain composure.“No thanks. I can stand on my own” David said, feigning a smile.“As you wish, Sir” Kingston replied then retracted his hand and stood upright while David went on his feet and walked back to where he once was.“Are you okay?” Reginald asked. However, David, who was annoyed that Reginald felt it necessary to ask that question out of concern for his earlier reaction, forced a smile.“I am Uncle, so please, continue,” David said. Reginald started by revealing the history of Crimson Fall to David, who at first was confused as to why he was telling him an old folk tale but soon realized why when Reginald told him the part that only the king and a select few knew. The moment David heard about reincarnation, his eyes widened, asking himself if such a thing existed.Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only bombshell he was going to hear as the story continued to unfold.Reginald told him that it was the Garrick family's mission to make sure that Lord Crimson, the powerful dragon who ruled over Crimson Fall for centuries, reincarnated and like that wasn’t enough, he gestured at Jeremiah and told him that Jeremiah was Lord Crimson, reincarnated.“I’m sorry what?” David asked, trying to make sure he wasn’t mishearing things. “You heard me right. Your cousin, who we all thought was dead, is our one true ruler. The all-powerful, Lord Crimson” Reginald said passionately. David’s eyes blinked multiple times as he looked at

The boldness with which Jeremiah said “Yes, I did” demoralized David. It was like he was telling David that he didn’t regret what he did and was daring him to reprimand his actions. Knowing that he couldn’t lash out at Jeremiah for what he did, David had no choice but to gulp and accept what happened and move on— making him more mad because he hated being made to feel small and insignificant. “I’m sure you had your reasons but can you please tell me why you hurt my friends,” David asked, making sure to choose his words carefully so as not to sound like he was confronting Jeremiah. “Friends? I think you’re misunderstanding something, David.” Reginald said and David quickly looked at him, wondering what he was talking about. “Jeremiah didn’t hurt your friends but your friend. Only one person was hurt by his hands” Reginald clarified. David grimaced. He reflected on Reginald’s words and remembered that the king had said “friend” instead of “friends” when he revealed that the per

David thought and started smiling discreetly.“After the aftermath of the explosion at the welcome ceremony, I have decided that—“ Reginald said, but David cut him off.“Explosion at the welcome ceremony?! What explosion?” David asked and Reginald paused.“You haven’t heard about the explosion yet?” Reginald asked. “No, I haven’t. There was another explosion but at the welcome ceremony?” David replied.David had been so anxious to find out what Jeremiah knew about the gas processing plant explosion that he was tunnel-visioned from everything else. He had just gone to his room to freshen up, changed clothes, and then went to Reginald’s study for the mee

He wondered and his brain started working at a million miles an hour in search of the answer.Soon enough, a thought came to his mind and he decided to go with it.David started chuckling, making everyone wonder why he was doing that. What did he find so funny?“Uncle, what gave you the impression that I knew about the explosion before it happened?” David asked.Reginald, who thought about the question, grimaced and adjusted how he sat.“Well, if I remember correctly, you were rambling about how we should leave the area and were adamant about it for a good minute before the building exploded, so I thought that your behavior was because you beforehand that the building was going to e

Once inside the study, the first thing Jeremiah did was pause and groan when he saw David standing in front of the desk. Kingston, who was just as surprised as Jeremiah at the sight of David, jolted and asked “Sir David, you’re already here?”“Yes, he is. Truthfully, even I was surprised when he arrived before you two did, but for some reason, he seemed eager to have the meeting which I guess is a good thing because I have so much to ask him” Reginald said.David, who was trying his best to keep his cool and act normal, turned to Reginald and smiled. “I just wanted to tell Uncle what happened because I know how worried he was about my disappearance and maybe that will calm his mind a little,” David said.Reginald, who didn’t know the young man’s true motive and believed his words, smiled. He took David’s feigned concern for him as a sign of David changing and attributed it to the punishment he gave him working. Speaking of the punishment, what was going to happen now that the guard
