The Ultimate Mogul Strikes Back! CHAPTER 107
“You heard me. I said you should get down” Jeremiah said and Britney grimaced in confusion. Her expression, however, was concealed by the helmet she wore. She looked at the road, stared at all the cars that drove by then she looked at Jeremiah and said “Here? On the highway?”Nonchalantly, Jeremiah replied, “Is there anything wrong with that?” “B-but I thought we were going to continue driving around the town for a while and afterward you were going to drop me off at home,” Britney said, a smidge of disappointment in her tone.“What made you think that?” Jeremiah asked and Britney jolted. It finally dawned on her that all Jeremiah had said after he bought the motorcycle was if she wanted a ride. He never said where he was going to drive her to and he most certainly didn’t promise to drop her off at home.Immediately, Britney became embarrassed.“I-I don’t know. I just thought that it was implied and h-honestly, I was looking forward to having you over. We could have watched a movie w
The Ultimate Mogul Strikes Back! CHAPTER 108
Jeremiah craned his head from left to right, scoping the area for any sign of life, because from where he sat, the place seemed very dead. All the lights were shut off and even for the time of night it was currently, the environment was strangely too quiet and all his instincts were telling him that something was off. From what Jeremiah saw, everything was clear from where he parked his motorcycle to the furthest part of the chemical/gas processing plant he could see. Granted, the angle from which he was doing his surveillance didn’t give him the full picture of the plant, so there could very well be people in the area that he just couldn’t see. However, that was where his heightened sense of hearing came in. Besides just looking, Jeremiah had also listened for people, and from what could hear, the place was vacant. Clearly, Lynette and David were inside the plant because their scent trails were leading him to the chain-link fence in front of him, and if they were there then
The Ultimate Mogul Strikes Back! CHAPTER 109
The gruesome and grotesque nature of the sight before Jeremiah left his stomach at odds.‘What kind of people would do something like this?’ Jeremiah asked himself as his heart filled with more disgust for Dark Emblem than it already was which says a lot because he already hated them to the core.On the other hand, what else did he expect from the same people, who planted a bomb at his welcome ceremony, and had no problem for everyone which numbered more than a hundred and fifty people— counting the guests and workers— to die? There was no point in reasoning with the members of Dark Emblem because they’ve shown themselves to be the worst types of beings in the entire world.Worse than the most deadly animals in the wild because the animals at least work off of instincts and a need for survival, whereas these ones do evil with their full heart when they don’t have to, and all for what? For power? How sickening. If they are powerful enough to hypnotize someone and use a spell to concea
The Ultimate Mogul Strikes Back! CHAPTER 110
A couple of minutes ago, after Jeremiah entered the building and was walking in an empty passageway the scent trail of David and Lynette led him to, he saw something very interesting. It was a phone lying on the floor with the back camera facing the ceiling. “What’s this?” He grimaced under his helmet. Curious as to why a phone was abandoned there, Jeremiah walked over to it and then crouched down to pick it up. Once in his hand, Jeremiah groaned. “This looks familiar” Jeremiah commented as he observed the phone which he was sure that he had seen before. Wanting to confirm his suspicions, Jeremiah pressed the power button and what he saw on the Lock Screen proved his thoughts. He had gotten a good look at David’s phone back at the castle when David showed him the button he had wanted to press to call some of the guards to where he was. An action that ended up backfiring on him when the guards sided with Jeremiah instead. Looking at the Lock Screen, Jeremiah saw that as
The Ultimate Mogul Strikes Back! CHAPTER 111
IMPLOSION was a spell that the members of Dark Emblem used to kill their targets quickly and it was the spell Adam loved to use the most. It was to the point that he was known in the entire organization as the fastest when it came to casting it, making him formidable among their ranks, but he had just failed to kill one man twice? What was going on? Both Dean and Adam stared at Jeremiah with curiosity but also concern. Adam and Dean looked at each other then they looked at Jeremiah and with quick speed, they pointed their hands at Jeremiah and cast the IMPLOSION spell. As expected, Adam’s was the first to shoot towards Jeremiah while Dean’s followed a fraction of a second later. No way Jeremiah was going to evade the two of them as it wouldn’t only be insane but also humanly impossible, right? Well, that was the same thing they thought would happen in the welcome ceremony. It would be impossible for the guests not to die from the explosion of the magical Rubix cube, but just li

“How did you do that?!” Adam asked aggressively as he hurriedly turned to Jeremiah. He had never seen a situation where something thrown by someone shattered something as strong as their magical shield. It was inconceivable to even think about but it just happened right in front of his eyes. In less than a minute, Jeremiah had done two things he thought were impossible. Avoid his IMPLOSION and shattered Dean’s shield which was one of the best in Dark Emblem. Jeremiah groaned and said “So you care about your partner? I wouldn’t have expected that emotion to exist in your organization” Adam frowned while Dean caught his breath. “How does it feel when someone you know gets hurt? Doesn’t feel good, does it? Well, tell that to the families of all the people you killed and the guests at the welcome ceremony who you almost killed” said Jeremiah with a tone of disgust in his voice. Immediately, Adam’s eyes widened. “The welcome ceremony? How did you know about that— wait a minute! Wha

Seeing Dean’s hand pointed at David and knowing the spell he was threatening to use, Jeremiah pictured the dismembered bodies of the guards he saw outside. He thought about how the same was going to happen to David if he didn’t do what Dean wanted and left with no other choice, he halted his entrance.“Fuck” Jeremiah said under his breath. How was he going to get out of this situation? He wondered.Yes, he was very fast but sadly not fast enough to close the gap between himself and Dean before Dean kills David, so there was no point in trying. He couldn’t risk David’s life like that.“Why are you doing this?” Jeremiah asked.“Unfortunately, the concealment spell is something Adam would have to continuously cast as he and the bride escape, making him unable to defend himself or attack unless he wants you to know where they are, but that’s why I’m here. I’m going to keep you here until they get away” Dean said.Normally, CONCEALMENT is used to hide something stationary as it creates a

Turns out Jeremiah had taken a page off of Dean’s book. Distract the enemy and move while they are focused on something else. From the distance between the two of them and Jeremiah’s speed, it would take him a second to get to Dean. Unfortunately, it would only take Dean a second to cast the IMPLOSION spell, so without taking his eyes off Jeremiah while his hand was still pointed at David, Dean cast the spell. After he finished and the destructive energy shot out his hand, Dean smirked victoriously. There was nothing Jeremiah could do to stop David’s death—Dean thought. Unfortunately for him, Jeremiah had already planned ahead, and it was at that moment Dean realized that he was seeing Jeremiah’s face and not the motorcycle helmet anymore. Jeremiah had taken the helmet off before he started dashing towards Dean and David, and once close enough, he threw it towards them. Dean retracted his hand that had shot the IMPLOSION spell at David and went into a defensive stance to prote

Jeremiah deactivated the anchoring spell and after checking that all the goons had been taken care of, he looked at Charles whose weird noises drew his attention. His attention was then drawn to what Charles focused on which was some strange looking item in his hand and he grimaced with intrigue. ‘That looks like something that’s made of magic’ Jeremiah thought then he used his senses, which was able to tell the difference between magical items and normal items— just like he did at the welcome ceremony— and he groaned.‘It is a magical item’ Jeremiah thought.Wondering what Charles was trying to do with the item because of the way he was handling it, Jeremiah walked towards where Charles and Eric were standing.“Umm, boss” Eric tapped Charles, who had been so focused on trying to get the item in his hand to work he had stopped paying attention to Jeremiah. “Huh?” Charles said, snapping out of his deep focus and was shocked when he saw Jeremiah walking towards him.Immediately, fea
CHAPTER 263
With his heightened sense of perception, Jeremiah saw all the attackers coming at him in slow motion and exhaled as he got ready to deal with them. He didn’t even bother using magic to handle the situation, thinking of it as overkill for regular humans like them, so he stuck to his fists. He also limited how powerful his attacks were because one strike from him at full power was nothing short of a death sentence to every human in existence. As a matter of fact, a strike from half his strength was enough to kill and that gap was expected to increase the more time passed because with every second that went by the closer he got to regaining his full power from the ring around his finger. Jeremiah treated the twenty goons like how an adult would treat toddlers, using as little strength as possible to subdue them and using their own attack momentum against them. One after the other, he dropped them to the ground, breaking her arms and legs in the process so they couldn’t get up to atta
CHAPTER 262
“My name is Charles Ludwig and your time to pay for what you did to my father and younger brother has come” Charles threatened.Jeremiah was silent for a moment as he pondered his next words then he groaned when he got them. “So your father and brother told you what happened back in Crimson Fall. Did they also tell you just how dumb what you’re trying to do is? You do know who I am, right?” He asked.Charles chuckled cockily and then replied:“If you’re asking me if I know that you’re that man’s son then the answer is yes. I know exactly who you are and you can thank my father for that. My younger brother, Paul was just as shocked as I was when we both found out and he didn’t want to believe it at first but then he thought about it and realized how the pieces fit together”Jeremiah smirked when a thought came to his mind.“That guy, huh? Why don’t you just say the name—?” Jeremiah asked but then froze and widened his eyes as he looked at the goons around Charles “So that’s why. You d
CHAPTER 261
“A trap,” Jeremiah said after observing the situation he was in.He shifted his gaze between everyone there and then he locked his eyes on Eric.“So this was your plan from the very beginning. Pretend to be an innocent kid who bumped into me and while I’m distracted trying to see if you’re okay, you steal my wallet from under my nose. After that, you create some distance between each other and wait long enough until I notice what you did, knowing that I would chase after you to get the wallet back. Looking back at it now, I thought it made no sense why you didn’t disappear after stealing the wallet— like all other pocket pickers do so that they don’t risk getting caught when the victim finally realized what had happened. But not you. You wanted to get caught because your actual goal was to lure me here to whatever this is” Jeremiah said.Eric smirked.“Wow, you sure do talk a lot. Everything could have happened a lot quicker but you had to talk and talk and talk, trying to help me lik
CHAPTER 260
Jeremiah drove all the way to a little fast food joint not so far from the High Fashion Emporium. It was a place he had heard about when it was first opened but hadn’t really gone to because it was in the expensive part of town. Now that he was there and could afford to eat what he wanted, he used the opportunity to quench his cravings.Jeremiah parked in front of the restaurant and went in.He had seen videos and pictures online of the restaurant from food review content creators, so he was quite familiar with the look of the place even though he had never been there before until that moment.Jeremiah walked to the counter and ordered what he wanted to eat. The lady there was very nice and welcoming, just like the review said, then he waited a few and was given what he ordered. The look was amazing but the smell was something else, especially with his heightened sense of smell. Jeremiah hadn’t even eaten yet and he was already salivating.“Please enjoy,” the lady at the counter said.
CHAPTER 259
[“You better go on your knees and start begging for forgiveness if you know what’s good for you. That guy is someone you wouldn’t want to mess with on a good day, let alone a bad one and I’m not going to stick my neck out for you and beg him to show mercy because the last time I did that for that idiot Bruce who disrespected him almost as badly as you did, I almost got my fingers broken”]Scared after what he had just heard, Lucy’s legs started to tremble more violently and almost gave out. She couldn’t believe the mess she had just put herself in. If only she had believed Jeremiah when he told her he was an Ultra VIP member of the store, she would have been able to go her own way, safe from any punishment, especially one as terrible as broken fingers. What can she do now? Beg? Would that even work?Every worker in the store, who knew what happened a couple of weeks ago, still thought Jeremiah was some kind of underground crime lord and everything the manager told her over the phon
CHAPTER 258
“Good morning, Kingston. I’m at the High Fashion Emporium, the clothing store we went to the day we traveled home to meet my father” Jeremiah said.[“Oh! Page had told me not long ago that you just moved into the Grand Blue estate, so I guess you’re already preparing to fill your closet”] Kingston had told Jeremiah to take the clothes he was given in the castle back to Bakers View so he wouldn’t have to waste time doing a shopping run. However, Jeremiah refused to do so because he didn’t want anything that would remind him of who he was. After all, he was trying his best to distance himself from his past as Lord Crimson—until his memories of the past finally returned.“That’s right,” Jeremiah replied. Kingston took a deep breath and sighed. [“So what can I help you with, young master?”] said Kingston, who knew that Jeremiah was only calling to ask for assistance, which he had no problem with as he was always ready and happy to serve. “Do you remember that I was given a special acc
CHAPTER 257
Jeremiah went straight for his bedroom where he collected his thoughts, coming up with things he needed now that he had returned to Bakers View. Then, after making a mental list of everything, he left the house, went outside the fence where his motorcycle was still parked, got on it, and drove into town. His first stop for the day was getting clothes for his massive closet, so he drove all the way to the one clothing store he both had experience with and liked how their clothes were. He went to The High Fashion Emporium. He parked in front of the store, got off the motorcycle, and walked towards the entrance. The last time he was there, the convoy of luxurious cars he arrived in drew a lot of unwanted attention from bystanders, and the entourage of security guards that surrounded him and Kingston as they exited the cars didn’t help. Now, with just him and his motorcycle arriving at the store and walking through the entrance, nobody paid him any attention. He was basically inv
CHAPTER 256
As Jeremiah and Page drove through the estate, Jeremiah got the opportunity to have a good look at the houses and it would have been an understatement to say that he was impressed by what he saw. He expected nothing less from an estate owned by his family. Very soon, he saw Page’s jeep’s taillight indicating that she was about to go left. Seeing as how there was no junction or intersection in sight, Jeremiah realized that she was about to park.Jeremiah did the same. He turned on his motorcycle’s left blinker and followed Page to park in front of a massive house that was surrounded by a fence— just like all the other houses in the estate.Security was a pivotal part of the estate’s appeal, so every house in it had a gated fence that acted as a second layer of security in case someone managed to go through Desmond and his partner at the entrance gate. That, however, had never happened since the creation of the estate, but it didn’t hurt to be cautious.Page turned off her car’s engin
